  1. So I know this has been asked many times but I have seen several different answers. How do you write two last names, specifically Brazilian last names, on form i-129f and other documents? What's the best thing to do

My fiancé is Brazilian and has two last names (First name, maternal last name, paternal last name), as does his son. Is it best to write just the paternal last name on form i-129f and other forms and just explain their full names in the cover letter? Or do I include the two last names under "other names used" or just include both last names under "last name"

How have people done it recently and will the way you write it affect US documents (SSN etc)?

    Thanks!

  2. Hello all,

I signed up a couple of months ago but have just recently been back since I am going to be submitting my K1 visa application soon! My fiancé and I met in Brazil 2 years ago, and now that we're engaged we are ready to start this process to be together (who else is struggling with the long distance and saudades? :clock: ). There is so much helpful information on this site so that's why I'm here. I finally started filling out the i-129f form today, and I already have so many questions. I look forward to finally taking the first major step and submitting the K1 application :)
