  1. Just green-card for border crossing in either direction, if travel by air, passport will also be needed, and if name is different between passport and green-card, carry a copy of marriage cert to show name change through marriage.

If traveling internationally to countries other than Mexico, Canada, or the Caribbean, then passport will also be needed.

My Wife has traveled into an out of Canada 3 times, and all that was needed when crossing by car was green-card.

Time to update profile, you are no longer K-1, you are AOS approved. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01

  2. Hey, looks like there are a few of us Feburary'ers left, I have not had a touch since Mar. 18, 2008

I called on congressmen office and the lady told me that my application was is process and that

she was closing me case, an other congressman aid doesn't not return my calls. I call uscis several times

and finally got someone to open a service request. She told me that I would be hereing from someone in the Denver office, by Dec 19. im not holding my breath  I

Also, 1 quick question. after you get your green card what other documents do you need to travel out of

    the country?

    Happy Thanksgiving

    Pat

  3. You're not the only one's waiting for there green card

    check out our time line.

We filed Fed. 2, and have not been touched since March 18.

Had to do 2 biometrics, because her 1st A# was wrong.

Call my congressman, his aide call the NVC and was told

that it was there and It should be sent to Denver shortly.

The NVS told him that depending on how busy the Denver

office is, would depend when we get an interview.

  4. Anyone else experience this problem?

This is a portion of the letter that I faxed to our congressman.

On Feb. 8, 2008 USCIS received her application for I485 AOS and a I765 Employment Authorization.

    I485 Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx

    I765 Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx

She receive an appointment for her biometrics on March 8, 2008.

Then, she received another notice to have her biometric re-taken, on OCT. 2, 2008.

At this appointment we were informed that she was assigned the wrong USCIS A#

The original A# Axxxxxxxx is the number we have had since we started this

process back in January of 2006.

Her new number is A#aaaaaaa and is the number she has on her employment authorization card and her biometrics notice for Oct 2, 2008.

I called and was told to wait until her application date was 30 days behind the processing date. I call again on Oct. 3 and the lady explained that the new A#aaaaaaaaaa is correct and assigned to our case, but she didn’t know if there would be a delay. The only info is that our case has been received and is pending.

The last time our case has been looked at according to the USCIS web is March 18, 2008.

The Denver office as of July 31, 2008 is currently working on I485’s that were received after Feb 29, 2008. Once again her application was received on Feb. 8, 2008 and has not been looked at since Mar. 18, 2008

    Thanks

    Pat

  5. Today I received a ASC Appointment Notice to capture your biometrics.

It is the 2nd one we have received the first was March 08, 2008 and was for our

I485 and 1765 applications with both applications numbers on it. It has been

Stamped with the date and signed by an employee.

The new one is only for the 1485 with only the I485 applications number on it.

My question is why would we need to do the biometrics 2 times?:angry::angry:

Has anyone else ran into this before?

    Thanks

  6. FINALLY received EAD, it took over a month, This is BS, I thought they processed these in the order that they received them, Our AOS has not been touched since March 18.

I just notice our NOA1 says that our I485 AOS is at the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER.

I check the "Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions" at the National Benefits

center, and It doesn't show the I485 AOS as being processed there.

Does anybody know if they process I485's at the NBC?

I am worried that my application is sitting at the NBC and not being processed, this would not be the

first time this has happened to me. My I-129f, was sent to El Paso by mistake and it took 3 months to

    get that straightened out.

    Thanks

  8. Has anyone heard anything more on this plan?

This is the quote from Warren Janssen, the Officer-in-Charge of the USCIS Cd. Juarez office.

"We're still working on a comprehensive plan to clean up all of the backlogged waivers within 90-120 days after we begin the project. Additional clerks are here now preparing the waivers to be ready when adjudicating officers arrive for the blitz. I don't have a starting time for this at this time. "

  9. This was posted today on immigrate2us.net

Here's a link to a copy of the chat. http://immigrate2us.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15049

It was part of the on line chat with Laurel Scott

  10. Hi, I just received an e-mail from CDJ; I asked them how the new process will help with the backlog of cases already in the system. Here is there response.

On MARCH 6, 2007, the USCIS Ciudad Juarez Office, in conjunction with

the US State Department started implementing a new pilot program to

provide faster adjudication of SOME I-601 Waivers of Excludability.

After reviewing the I-601 and supporting documentation, the

Adjudications Officer may at his or her discretion approve the I-601 at

that time or it may be referred for further review and final

    adjudication.

Since your wife's waiver was filed before that date, we are unable to

inform you how much time this procedure will take. As soon as get a

resolution from CIS, you will be notified by mail. In the meantime if

you need to inform of a change of address, please contact the CIS office

    directly at:

as you can see they didn't answer my question, they didn't even give me the usual response of 9mo to 1 year.

I think the only thing this new pilot program is going to do is make the waiting time longer for those of us that

sent in our applications before March.

Somebody PLEASE explain to me how this new pilot program is suppose to speed things up. It makes absolutely no sense to me. The only thing I can see is it is taking resource away from the people who have been waiting the longest.

Also, if they can make an immediate decision with this new pilot program, why can’t they have a few people review the backlog of pending applications and look for the easier cases and make the same immediate decision? I would think a couple of people could go through and approve many many applications a day.

Does anyone know how many I-601 CDJ get every day, how many they approve and how many are in the backlog?

Also how long it usually takes to approve 1 case?

All this waiting is KILLING ME

    Thanks

    Pat

  11. Here's a link explaining the new pilot program

    http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=22200

Here is the last paragraph of the document.

USCIS has also taken steps to eliminate the current I-601 waiver backlog by proving the Cd. Juarez field

office with additional resources. Those immigrants that have pending I-601 waivers with the Cd. Juarez field

office will be notified via mail of their decision.

I wish we could find out what additional resources they are talking about, hopfully one day soon the backlog will

    break loose.

    Pat

  12. I know that Cd Juarez has recieved additional resources and implemented a pilot program to speed up the I-601 backlog.

Does anyone know, when these "additional resources" for the backlog of I-601 waivers in Cd Juarez is going to shorten the estimated wait time for approval? I'm still hearing anywhere from 6 months to a YEAR! what month are they working on now?

    Thanks

    Pat

  13. My fiancee had her appointment for her I-601 waiver on Jan 10, 2007,

in Ciudad Juarez Mexico, she forgot the hardship letter and supporting

documentaion and I had to send it in later.

I have a CDJXXXXXXXXX case number and I e-mailed CDJ and they

told me to contact DHS in El Paso, I wrote to them and they recieved my

mail Jan. 18, and still haven't recieved a response. I want to know if

my hardship letter and support documentation are together.

I also, call the USCIS and they told me the same thing I need to contact

    the DHS in El Paso.

Does anyone have a phone# or a e-mail address for DHS in El Paso or

know how I can get this info.

    Thanks

    Pat

  14. Hey all,

I have a couple of questions, what is the process for the I-601, My fiancee went to her interview on Jan. 10,

She FORGOT  the hardship letter and documentation. She turned in the I-601 waiver, and

had her finger prints taken. I sent in the hardship letter and CDJ recieved it Jan 22. If I e-mail CDJ will they be

able to tell me if my HSL caught up with my waiver?

Does anyone know if the additional help in CDJ has sped up the I-601's.

    Thanks

    Pat
