Hi- have you had any luck with your AP process? Our parents case is pending AP in Yerevan as well. I have noticed a massive slow down in the cases being posted. Please share if you have had any success. Thanks.

Hi there, I'm very sorry to hear that. How long have your parents been in the AP? It took them almost 11 months to complete our AP. We finally received our visa about 2 weeks ago. Good luck to you guys.

  2. @Aminfei Hi there. welcome to the club! We went through the US embassy in Yerevan as well. Our interview was in June 2016 (4 months before you guys), and ever since our case has been pending administrative processing. It's been 'almost' 8 months that we have been waiting for our clearance. Just FYI, the AP is the slowest process ever with no completion date. No one, including the attorneys, can expedite it nor find out what the status of the AP is. You can try emailing the embassy to check on the status of your case but this is what you will get back over and over "We have no control over this mandatory process and cannot expedite it, keep checking our website on weekly basis to see if your case number is published." Apparently, if you guys are from Iran will have to go through the AP. You have been lucky to get yours but your wife has to go through the process unfortunately. Your wife's case will be sent back to Washington D.C. by the embassy to the Homeland Security for checking your background, investigation if your relationship is solid and you are not causing any trouble in the U.S. Once your wife is cleared, her case will be sent back to the embassy and that's when your case number will be published on the website. AP means security check and doesn't have anything to prove anything including your domicile. You guys can also check this website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== to look up your case status by the case number. "Case last updated" is the date they have looked at your case if the AP result has been received from DHS. Good luck to you guys! Please keep us posted and update your Visajourney Timeline if you can http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=256033.

  3. @Leila, this is a very big news for all of us. So far the focus has been on the refugees and asylums. No one knows what will be included in Trump's new executive order. Hopefully it doesn't target all the Iranians who want to enter the US through the legal process. Our case has been pending AP for almost 7 months in Yerevan and we are extremely concerned about this situation as well. I would sign up for the National Iranian American Council: NIAC email subscription to receive the latest news and consult with an immigration attorney. I will keep you posted if I hear anything further.

Leila, what embassy are you guys applying through? Thanks.

  4. Everyone, thank you very much for all the info you have shared here in this thread. It's been very useful to us. I wish there was a status bar just like Domino's Pizza to show the status of our case at the embassies. Has anyone by chance from Iran been pending AP through the US embassy in Yerevan, Armenia? My fiance, she, has almost been 6 months through the AP for the K-1 visa and not contacted yet by the embassy.

  5. Good day, has anyone from Iran recently been approved for K1 visa? We have already been in the administrative processing for almost 6 months, have not heard anything back from the embassy. I was wondering if anyone has gone through the same process could please advise how long it took them to get approved. I'm more interested in the cases that have been processed through the US embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. Thank you so much.
