  1. Hey, tell me about RFE's!!

See our timeline, we've received TWO: one from Chicago = copy of the NOA (approval) they already had it. And the second from CSC = a "new Medical exam"....?

My 6 y/o son had his medical on February 2006 - ain't supposed to be good for one year? are rules changing or what? Any comment is appreciated

I called the service center and this is what they say: "If you were required to get a NEW medical exam... just do it!!! "

Well, whatever it takes to "follow" their rules without problems and delays.

    Good look everyone.

    New

They did a new medical examination to us at the Civil Surgeon, they said that the medical examination for K1 purposes was other stuff and AOS is different, but the price was the same for the vaccination supplement with or without medical examination so we accepted.

We sent the paperwork to Chicago and it was very fast, four months after the paperwork we received the Green Card!

So if they need something, give it to them.

    Good look.

  2. HOLA!!!!!!

We are trying to fill out the Change of Adress format (AR-11). We received our green cards recently, and we have some questions: in the first row they say "I am in the United States as a..."

Should I mark Permanent Resident because that's what the Green Card say? but in the last row they say "If not a Permanent Resident, my stay in the U.S. expires on..." Should I say that it ends on sept/2008?

Does somebody know the answers? :help:

    Thank you!

  3. As far as I know, the A# is just for the K1, I did write the same number for my daugther and at the finger prints they told me that I shouldn't write my A# on my daugther paperwork

We had our medical examination, I've heard that the Civil Surgeon only should fill the vaccination supplement becausa the fisical examination was done at the clinic one day before our interview at the Consulate where they gave us our K1 and K2, but they told us that Consulate is one thing and Inmigration process is other thing.

The good thing is that the medical examination didn't affect the price, so we accepted.

  4. Did your daughter have her interview for AOS the same time as you did?

My son and I had our interview together. We were both approved, but his name check wasnt back at that time. I received my Green Card a week later, but he didnt because of the name check.

He received his Green Card three months later when the name check came back.

Maybe her name check is not back yet. Did they mention that to you at the interview?

No, they didn't. And we had our interview together where they told us that we were aproved. Do you know what's the place at USCIS to see the status?

  5. I received my Green Card by mail yesterday but it's just the mine.

Last friday I got a notice where they told me that my case was approved and I will get my card within the next three weeks (as the interviewer tell us) but we didn't get the Notice letter for my daughter and we taught that the letter was by case (what it means two of us).

But since I got my Green Card and no hers we're getting worried. Shouldn't we?

Are we right thinking that she will get one?

Does somebody know if is there a place where we can check my daughter status?

    Thank you in advance. :help:

  6. Hello!

This is what we gave to the interview:

-The K1 Visa File (all the documents that my husband got for that process until the Aproval Notice)

    - The AOS File (the forms, fotocopies and evidence when we applied for de Adjust of Status)

    - Interview notice

    - The Medical Examination (Form I-693) unless already submitted

    - The Affidavit support (Form I-864) unless already submitted

    - Federal Income tax returns for the past 3 years

    - Letter from the current employer

    - Passport (and visa)

    - The births certificates (with translations, if neccesary)

    - My husband identification, his passport, his driver license

    - I have a daugther so I gave her birth certificate and translation (they can ask you for a traslation for foreign language documents)

    - Marriage certificate (original and copy)

    - Supportin evidence of your relationship, tax, bank statements, insurance documents (car, life, health), leases, photos, correspondence ...

Yes, all that (just in case). Original and copy for every document and the translations.

I hope this can help you. Good Luck

  7. Yesterday we received the Welcome letter by mail telling us that the card will be soon here! So, no more questions and stress until 2008!

Thank you everybody for your help!

Woohoo! Congratulations on your new status. :)

There won't be any stress in 2008, either. You can start a box or folder at your desk now and put things in it that will be useful for your I-751. When it is time to file, no sweat--everything is there! :)

    Well, nearly anyway.

    Thanks for the advice! :P

  8. Hello there!!

We're happy. We went to the initial interview last September 26th, the man was very nice, just the normal questions: name, adress, how we met. Nicely asked us if we have some pictures and we showed him. He said: " Everything is ok, you will receive your card in three weeks"

Yesterday we received the Welcome letter by mail telling us that the card will be soon here! So, no more questions and stress until 2008!

Thank you everybody for your help!

  9. I agree, everything looks so confused but don't stress that much ... we're here!!! (to share your confusion) :P

    And to help you too!

It's true that somebody can help you with the translations (or you can do it by yourself), after de translation this should be written:

I, "name", hereby certify that the above is an accurate translation of the document, and that I am competent to translate from "language" to english and viceversa.

    Signature, month, day, year.

    Name. Date prepared.

  10. G-325A Form.

1.- NO, I-94 number is other stuff. The A is the Alien Registration Number and you can find it the form I-797 (Notice of action) where the USCIS told you that your K1 was approved; is like this: Beneficiary A000 000 000 and below that the fiance name.

2.- Mark Status as Permanent Resident.

    I-485 Form.

1.- Current USCIS Status. Write: K1 Visa Holder.

2.- In what status.... Write: K1 Visa Holder.

3.- Noninmigrant Visa Number is in her passport. The Consulate stamped a Visa in her passport and the number is in red color in that Visa.

We hope you this help you to take your stress away, we were like that two months ago and now we are waiting for the Initian Interview in September 26, so I think we did it right :P

    Good luck!

  11. Hi!

    The stress starts again...

I just set the appointment with the Civil Surgeon, it will be next wednesday and I have two questions:

1.- The Notice of Action for the Initial Interview ask us for the I-693 medical examination, but somebody say something about the I-693A form (inmunization record), I printed out both forms but which one the Doctor is going to use.

2.- I had a medical examination last april 3rd/2006 as part of the k1 process (we crossed the border the next day when the k1 was approved), so Do I need another medical examination because de I-693 format?

3.- The Doctor's secretary told me about $170 or $260 if I need shoots and $70 for my daughter, is that expensive? :o

Thank you! Have a nice day.
