Ktai...not sure if the new immigration law will have effect on pple with EAD/AP... it might if you're from one of the 7 countries...if not you should be ok I guess... UNLESS the new rules that come up in the next few weeks change everything...?

Did anyone travel to another country with advance parole while waiting for the green card after Trump became a president?

I am planning on traveling back home in April with my combo card; work permit and advance parole. And I have not got the green card yet.

Would it be safe to travel with advance parole? do i have to declare anything before i leave USA? or I just have to show my combo card and prepare all related documents at the immigration when getting back?

Please advise and share your experience because I do not see anyone traveling with advance parole after Trump became the president at all.

 

I know that some of you guys are waiting for the interview. Is there anyone who already got i-131, advance parole, and is planning to go outside the US with that? What should i prepare to go out and come back with combo card? Im so afraid since Trump became the president. There is a rumor that when you come back, the immigration people may not let you re enter or even let you sign i407, discard the green card process. 

Is there anyone travelling with advance parole soon or already travelled with it? Please share the experience.

Woke up to case status updates and I could have sworn it was going to be the EAD cases.

To my surprise it was the AOS cases - we're scheduled for interview Jan 27th!! Woohoooooo

At least when you get green card, you will not need AP nor EAD anymore!

After 1 week of updated status 'new card produce and approval of my AP' got my approval notice yesterday and got my combo card today.yeheeeyy!!

hi guys, hope whoever is having the similar timeline to mine with RFE is getting approval soon because I got it now today!

After getting the RFE so late and sent the response back to them and they received it on 25th Nov, I didnt hear from them again about my EAD or AP update.

I couldnt wait any longer so last Tuesday i called and put it a service request with Tier1 and did some research after that that I should speak to Tier2 better.

So, I call again on Friday and requested to speak with Tier2 and she put me another service request.

On Monday 19 Dec, I checked my status online and the second service request was assigned to an officer to respond and they pulled my file out to look at it.

I didnt think it would be this fast because the last 2 times, my service requests were responded on the 30th date.

I was so glad and didnt think that the next day which is today Tuesday 20th Dec, I would get the updates both on EAD and AP at the same time.

My AP changed to 'case was approved'

My EAD changed to 'New Card is Being Produced' but no approval update tho.

Does this mean my EAD got approved? I know it is a stupid question but i just wanna make sure that this means i will get the card soon.

And normally, how long does it take you to get the card in mail?

This has been my 90 days after filing i-485, I-131 and I-765 and ther is still no update on my EAD and AP.

I know iv got RFE and that may delay the EAD and AP tho. However, its been 20 days after submitting my RFE and they said they received it.

First, told me they sent me RFE on the status but i made an infopass and the officer said they didnt send it. that delayed me 3 weeks until i got RFE finally.

And i couldnt wait any longer, so i called to make a service request on tuesday by avoiding mentioning about RFE and just informed the Tier 1 officer that my EAD hasnt been updated for 87 days. The officer made a service request for me and told me to wait for the response for 14-30 days.

And i have the feeling that i will not hear from them until the 30th day cuz this happened to me with the first 2 service requests.

This is so frustrating that they work on the cases so slowly and its a holiday season now which will be even more slower.

Is there anyone with a problem like me?

I have to keep reading similar cases and hope to get any update from them soon.

You haven't received an update for the "response to rfe received..."?

My RFIE response package was delivered on 10/28 and I got the case status update 5 days later on 11/2.

I would probably call in just to confirm my case status was updated.

I received the update that they received it after two days of delivery but now i am just waiting for the approval for I-131 and I-765 since i wanna go home to see my family in Jan.

The instructions PDF should list the supporting evidence with more details but to summarize, the easiest would be:

1. IRS tax transcripts OR copy of the entire tax return including schedules and attachments such as Form W-2, Form 1099, etc. (Usually, most just use the transcript since it's easier and carries more weight.)

2. Employer Letter verifying employment

3. Paystubs

We re just in the same boat in the same direction .. I have been waiting to receive the hard Copy of my RFIE for 18 days no but its still not here . Don't even know if it was trashed at USCIS office ...lol

Hi, hey after 15 days, you can request to resend it.

But instead of requesting it online, i think you should book infopass and go request it there, it is more instant.

I already request it online but they will respond me on 26th NOV which is too long so I booked it to go in at infopass next week.

Hi, I am having a hard time waiting for my RFE in mail after 11 days already.

It says on the website that it has been mailed on 27th Oct. Now i have not received it yet.

Should I go in for infopass and check my address and request to resend a new one?

Can I get information there what document they require from me?

Also, i know there is an expiration date and im afraid that it will expire soon even tho i dont know when. Anyone has any idea how to deal with this?

I called USCIS 3 times and tried asking to check the address they sent me but they said they cannot tell anything.

I made a decision to wait and after researching realize it was better to send it all together. I had to get my medical done.

Hi everyone, I got my receipt notice for I-485 on 23rd Sept.

However, the last name and the address were spelled wrong.

I called to correct them and got the referral number.

But when i check my status on the website, it says that the request is currently not assigned to processing. its been like this for 6 days already.

Does anyone has an idea how long it takes? are they gonna send me a new corrected receipt notice? is this gonna delay the process?
