I searched everywhere for a situation like mine and didn't find any conclusive or recent posts, so decided to post my story/complications.
Applied I-751 Feb 2018
One year extension March 2018
Biometrics reused May 2018
18 month extension August 2018
Approval letter for I-751 Feb 2019
But.... no green card ever came. On both new and old sites no update about approval or card either.
On approval letter, specifically said I should not travel until I receive green card. I had to wait 60 days for inquiry about not getting green card.
Contact USCIS by calling and online requests 4 separate times. Every single time, told me I was approved and that they sent for card production. Always told me to wait for 45 days for card to come before making another inquiry. Last online inquiry (end of July 2019), they said that they were "unsure why my card has not been printed, must be missing bad/data, my case has to be sent back to I-751 unit for review"
So 6.5 months later and still no card (end of August 2019), sent letters to my 2 senators and then 2 weeks later to my congressman. No reply from senators after 2 weeks, congressman replied quickly and efficiently. Right after his response, I got an update on old USICS case status site that card was being mailed out. I don't think the card got printed because of my contact with the 2 senators or 1 congressman, but coincidental.
I wasn't hopeful about anything until I had green card in hand and that all information on card was correct (which it was).
Anyways, that's my story. So this does happen apparently - where you get the letter, but no green card (which is the important part!). I can only imagine if I did not get the letter and just *waiting* for my green card because of their designated time line. I would never have known there was a printing error. Also to note, I will not be applying for N-400, so that was never apart of the equation.
Good Luck to everyone still waiting!

Did you get a notification that the "card is being produced" or something different?
I do not sign up to get e-mail or text messages. It's too stressful to always be staring at my phone, lol.
The last time I checked my online status though, after I got the letter, it still just said case received.

Just curious if anyone is in the same boat as me.
I'm a CSC filer.
Got ROC approval letter in the mail 2/28/19, with notice date of 2/19/19
No transfer, no interview, no RFE, reused old biometrics.
I haven't gotten the physical GC yet though as of 3/28/19.
On the letter it does say to contact them if you don't get it in 60 days, but curious if anyone else is in the same position.
Thanks!

Updated time line, see below. (I know the timelines always helped me, so I hope this helps others!)
Had interview in LA downtown May 10th, 2016.
Interview was scheduled for 2:30pm, arrived at 2pm, was brought into the interview at 2:25pm.
Very straightforward, she thanked us several times for having a very organized file and evidence (I labelled and colour coded everything).
Took our IDs and photocopied it, she said it was proof that we were here.
She then proceeded to ask us questions from the I-485 as well as mom's name, dad's name, birthdays, etc...
She then asked for anymore evidence we wanted to provide... I gave her our new car registration that has both of our names, and our recent bank statements.
She also said she was somewhat surprised that we got an interview, as I'm transferring from the TN VISA, and have been legally living and working in the US since 2012. She did mention that some people will get married to circumvent the K1 process (where you have to leave the country), so that might be why. We told her it was a day off work for both of us, which is always nice! lol
She never said directly that we were approved, but said she would finish our case up by the end of the day (more background checks?)
She also handed us a letter that said they are working on our case, and a decision of some sort will be made in 120 days (though she told us to ignore that, as she verbally told us she will finish up with ours by the end of the day).
Checked my USCIS status this am, and it looks like we are approved.
So, that's it... until 1.5 years from now!

I'm hoping for a combo card. My EAD card is scheduled to arrive today according to USPS tracking. Both my EAD and AP have been approved but only the EAD showed updates online about mailing.
One was a letter and the EAD was a card, but at the bottom it said something about AP.
I assume if you leave the country you would need to bring both just in case.
-
Updated time line, see below...
Recieved EAD card, it has a note about AP on the card at the bottom.
Also recieved the letter for AP and EAD
May be it's still kind of a combo card?

Timeline updated, for background info I am switching from a 3 year TN Visa holder.
Interview scheduled with a date in early May.

I recieved my Biometrics last night as well, see my time line below

Awesome! And you're also adjusting from TN Status
Hope this process is smooth...
Agreed!!

I would recommend writing your congressman and senator(s) of your state.
They can be helpful (not all the time), but its away to document things and at least you have another avenue to try something.
