  1. We sent in 6 different photographs from the last 2 years before we filed. We put our full names, the date of the picture and the location on the back. Sounds hard to remember dates but a lot of them we could figure out eg: When we went to the grand canyon etc.

You need to send flight tickets and passport stamps. This is the best way for them to see you've gone back and forth. Me and my now husband knew from the get go to retain flight tickets. Don't worry though, just send the passport stamps and then also send a copy of your I-94 record.

To get your I-94 record visit:

    https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/

fill in all the details and it will show your foreign partners entrances and exits to the states.

Make sure again to make two copies of the RFE like you would of done for the original package.

It may also help to send anything you've got from after filing. Any plane tickets, just photocopy them and send them in the package. It can't hurt to send over too much. At least then it shows that you're maintaining the relationship whilst in the process of filing.

Also, you said you didn't send any tax information? You only need the tax information at the interview with the affidavit of support so that's not a problem.

    Good luck! You've got this!

Thank you so much. We are doing the i94 and we have the stamps too. :D

  2. Photos are good but they usually don't show when you met, only that you did meet. So passport stamps and boarding passes are very important. As can hotel receipts be, showing that you were at that specific place at that specific time when you said you met her.

Thanks a lot. We now have passport stamps included to show that she was in america at the time, however boarding pass tickets we do not have. Also we have tremebdous evidence of us having met AFTER we filed the i-129f, i dont know if that will help because rfe asks for 2 years prior...

  3. Hello everyone.

Just received an RFE after about 7 and a half months into waiting asking for more evidence showing that my fiance and I have met in person two years prior to filing. We submitted pictures of us together, chat logs, and a written statement.
-we did not submit passport stamps showing my fiance was in fact in new york or tax records .

Im wondering what you guys sent in for evidence that shows you two met in person.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, we want to get this RFE right. Thanks

  4. Hi, I've been waiting 7 months for approval of fiancé visa. I am thinking now to marry my girlfriend in China (I am in China now) so I can file I-130 with consulate of Guangzhou because processing times for DCF at Guangzhou are like two weeks. The only thing is i need to get my visa changed to resident. My question is what is the easiest way to get resident in my visa? If I marry can I apply for it easily?

  5. So curious is there anyone who still havent got NOA2? It's been three and half months, still no updates yet from uscis. This is so frustrating! Does anyone also know what's gonna happen after 5 months of waiting? I know I can do web inquiry after five months, but so worried that uscis will give me the same bullshit, like "your case needs more time to process than others, pls keep waiting patiently". Appreciate any suggestions!

  6. My fiancé just spoke with USCIS CSC and they say that our case are doing good so far and that we don't need to worry about it, and that we have to wait 60 days from the day they receive our RFE, so I guess we need to keep waiting until Apr 17? for a new update!

Hi, can you tell me how your fiance was able to contact the USCIS CSC please? I'd appreciate it because I would like to ask them about my case as well. Thanks

  7. I have a friend who applied for spouse visa and while her application is under processing, she also applied for B1 visa and she get denied as the Consul told her that she cannot apply for two visa at one time.

Hey thanks for the reply. I think we should cancel the H1B visa then. Although the USCIS approved her H1B visa already, and now it is with the Embassy in China undergoing administrative processing. Any ideas how to go about cancelling the H1B?

  8. If anyone can give their 2 cents about this it'd be appreciated.. My girlfriend basically applied for two visas at the same time. There was the H1B visa, which has been under administrative processing, and our K1 fiance visa. And the H1B still visa is processing at the US embassy in China. Is the fact that there is already one visa being processed reason to cause any delays or rejection for the K1's second NOA?

    NOA 1 received Dec 21st.
    NOA 2... where you at?

  9. What the USCIS page states is correct, However there are 2 Affidavit of Support forms.

I-134 is the Affidavit of Support that is presented during the interview.

I-864 is the Affidavit of Support that is filed with your AOS

For the I-134 you only need to meet 100% of the poverty guidelines

For the I-864 you need to meet 125% of the poverty guidelines.

Since both will be filed within such a short duration (a matter of only a few months) it's best to meet 125% of the poverty guidelines for both documents.

Thanks. Can I ask how you sent the tax transcripts and i-134 form to your fiancee? Were you able to scan and email it?

  10. I have another question. This passage from USCIS website says we don't fill out an affidavit of support until after our fiance/ee comes to the country and applies for permanent residence.

"Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Nonimmigrant

If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States."""""""""""""""

Was anyone else under the impression that they were going to have to file an affidavit of support/ find a joint sponsor before the interview?
