  1. Wow congrats and thanks for sharing your experience with everyone on the forum. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of evidence did you bring to the interview?

I brought everything that I sent in the initial package and all the originals of documents that I sent with it. I also brought any new filed taxes for 2015 for us and my mom.

Property deeds, bank statemnets, insurance for car and life, credit cards, but she saw none if these--only ids, passports, taxes.

  2. Had my interview today at 7.20 am in NYC and was there at 7:10 am (arrived at 6:45 am). A lady called us in. She sworned us first and then started to ask questions such as where we live, and checked the original documents that we presented as well as IDs and passports.

Then ahe asked who is the person signing for the affidavit and my mother was there. She asked her a couple of questions and then asked us if we filed taxes, we provided a copy and then she asked us to confirm all questions in the I-485, which answer was all NO!

Then she asked if we had any questions, we said no. Then she said that we should expect the card between 4-6 weeks if everything is OK.

Three hours later I receieved texts stating that the card was ordered and three hours later the card is in production.

So, I guess my journey is almost over and hope to receive the GC in a week or so--maximum 30 days :)

  3. Did anyone send in evidence of co-mingling with your i-485 AOS packet? I was following the guides and it had no mention of needing to include it, that it was something to gather and have prepared for the future interview. But now i'm worried because I happened upon a thread today where they were telling others to front load. Ugh. If it is something that is needed, the guides should be updated...

I din't think you need that, this is why they do interviews, I guess. Imagine thousands of people sending photos, which could sometimes be fake, those are not evidence.

  4. Thanks you two! :)

Does anyone know when we find out which USCIS office is handling our paperwork (after it has been processed at the national benefits center)? Is it in the hardcopy of our NOAs? I'm assuming it will just be our local office, but I heard that sometimes cases get sent elsewhere to even out the workload distribution. I'm hoping that happens to us because the Seattle office is really backlogged. It would be nice to not wait 8 months for my husband's green card.

If you look at your case number, it has 3 letters at the beginning--those letters indicate which office is handling your case. Good luck!!! I got MSC...I just hope they are quick!!!

  6. I was worrying about my case as my husband got one notification for EAD, and I got nothing... I told him that he should be getting two more emails or texts as they send a notification for each application; AOS, AP, EAD... His answer was that he got many texts and emails since Feb. 4 at midnight and he deleted them thinking it was the same thing!!! I asked him to retrieve them and forward me the emails, when I looked each case it was regarding each of our applications for all documents!!! Not sure if this is normal, but now I am waiting for hard copies to arrive and then biometrics appointment. Anyone has an idea of what happens next?

  7. I sent both, my husband's and my AOS together in the same package. He got his NOA-1 yesterday at midnight, and today I checked his status and says that I-765 has been received and they are sending a letter telling him how they will process his case.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for anything regarding my case. I only know that they cashed both of our checks.

In case you are wondering, I am doing AOS, based on F3. Thus, I am the principal applicant and he is spouse.
