Thank you dhweels76, its funny cause I still can schedule an appointment online for the k3 one
-
Did anyone try to change the K3 Appointment to IR1, I read in one of the shortcuts that's its possible. I have submitted all of my documents for the IR1 to the NVC end of last month and hoping for a case closed by end of month. The embassy in Amman sent us an email last month to schedule the K3 appointment but we didn't do so as we wanted to go wait for the IR1, but I was wondering if I can save some time by scheduling it and then changing if the case close comes before it.
-
No, we're using a lawyer who said that the NVC are running slow and to just wait. I've emailed her this morning to ask her to call and chase them as I'm getting concerned, especially as other people on this forum with a similar timeline to my application seem to be getting processed fairly quickly.
I strongly recommend calling, I believe typically after 5 months you can submit a case inquiry...

ok, I jumped the gun and just read the wiki. Sorry guys
-
So I called earlier today and get my case number from the NVC, and it was assigned today. I am able to select an agent but when I try to pay the fee I am getting this message.
"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."
Is this normal?
One thing to note the NVC assigned a case number to I129F and forwarded to the embassy.

Check the threads to find out why the IR1/CR1 is a superior visa. However if none of the reasons that it is superior matter to you then feel free to chase thr K3.
I just did, I guess it makes more sense to wait for the IR1/CR1.

I called the NVC yesterday and they told me that there is no case number assigned for my wife I-130 yet, then I asked them about the I-129F and they give me a case number and upon checking online it seems that the case was already sent to the embassy.
Did this happen to anyone? we are leaning toward going with K-3 until we get something else about the I-130, is this a good path to go with?

So, USCIS just approved our I-130 and I-129F(I reckon the 129F will be dropped) on Monday and I got an email about NOA2
I am going to Jordan for two weeks and wanted to make sure I got any document needed;
so for I have this to submit
AOS Package
I-864ez filled, I believe I qualify to use it solely based on my W2
2015 1040 +W2+1099
2014 Tax Transcript
2013 Tax Transcript
6 Months Pay Stub
IV Package
My wife Birth Certificate
Marriage Certificate
Certificate of Non-Conviction (Arabic+ translated)
Religious marriage contract (Arabic + translated)
Biographic Page of my wife passport
Two passport pictures (scanned)
According to the embassy website, police certificate is not needed in Jordan
Also, Amman is EP so do I scan these two pdfs documents one for the IV Package and another AOS package
am I missing anything?
Thanks in advance

you send a copy, all originals will be needed for the interview at the consulate, never send originals to USCIS. Our copy only had the stamp that said " said certified true translation" we didn't have any issues. Good luck!
Thank you , I think it was your post that I read saying you got RFE'ed for it
-
I did some reading and discovered that other members has gotten RFE for not sending the religious contract with their I-130 application. Since I didn't send it and I have gotten an RFE (haven't gotten it yet but I trying to over prepare, lol) I am assuming this will be the case for us as well. My question, I had my wife translate it in Jordan and email me a copy of the translation. Do I need to send the original translation or a copy of it will suffice?
Also, the translation she got doesn't have the below part that I saw on other threads...but it has the translator office stamp that says "certified true translation"
I was thinking I can add the below part if needed and sign it since I am fluent in both languages.
I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

You mean for the I-129F that is part of a K3? You didn't file any fiance applications.
yes, that's what I mean
-
Thanks all for the replies, I just got an email saying that they sent me an RFE today, so I will wait to see what it says.
I also got an RFE for the fiance application I submitted.
The good news is things are moving along

Hi
So I applied an I-130 for my wife and my PD is 11/09/15 NOA is 11/12/15 at Nebraska, clearly people with dates after me has been approved and I even checked the app. I called today and got a tier 1 rep that said that they are still processing 09/02/15 applications, which seems really off. I am just checking to see what are my options when I can submit an online case inquiry? or talk to tier 2 rep? or my congressman...is it after 5 months or 6 months?
Thanks in advance

If you check your own timeline, even VJ suggests you call - even if you get the standard response, it wouldn't hurt to try!
"Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between March 25, 2016 and April 1, 2016*.
If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline."
Thank you, should I ask to speak to tier 2 supervisor immediately? and if so do I just say that I want to know the status on my case... I read in other places that it says don't mention others getting approved.
I'm in the same boat, I just call uscis the young lady was very nice she said that csc is a month behind. to give them another 30-45 days and rite knw they are still approving October case file. I explain to her that I'm see other case files that a being approve from December and January she told me that each case file is different. Which I completely agree with her. I hope this helps
yes thats what I thought, but the thing that is very frustrating they are very inconsistent.
-
Anyone knows how long after the application priority date should I call USCIS? next Wednesday would be 5 months of waiting and it seems like now people with December priority date are getting approved in Nebraska?
Thanks

Our PD was 11/09 Nebraska and I have yet to receive any info, its a bit frustrating =[

I called in today, and they said they mailed the notice on 09/18 but I didn't get anything yet, she gave me the receipt number (WACXXXXXX) green card expired so I am hoping to get it soon. Checking online it says fingerprint fee was received and that they mailed a notice on the 09/18
