  1. My husband and I have been through the I130, I601A, and now we finally are in Honduras and have our visa interview next week. We started this whole process end of 2012/beginning 2013 and we are finally almost done 4 years later. Unfortunately, dealing with USCIS and the NVC is mostly just a waiting game(our lawyer is great, just SLOW, I would say he added a year to our wait). As hard as it is, just be patient.

If you are missing documents for the NVC, it causes about a 3 month delay. We were missing 2 documents and had it delayed 3 months.

If you have any questions feel free to personal message me. I am glad to help in any way I can. I looked everywhere to find someone who went through the same process as us to ask them their experience and what to look out for, and i couldnt find anyone willing to help out. Good luck, I hope everything works out soon :)

  2. Good morning!

My husband and I are in Tegucigalpa, Honduras right now. Just finished up his medical exam yesterday and we have his visa interview (IR-1) next Wednesday. We have the very specific police certificate for Honduras, but in an email from the NVC it said that you will need a police certificate for every country you lived in for over 6 months. He lived in America as an undocumented immigrant for almost 10 years, no other country besides Honduras also. My dad did some research and found out that we did not need a police certificate for the USA. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks in advance!

  3. My lawyer had to send in 2 more documents because he missed them the first time he sent in them in (i was PISSED) and the items were received on July 25th. So I called last week because it had been 6 weeks. They said it was going to a supervisor to be reviewed. I called today to see the progress and the guy said that something happened with all the documents that were received in July, for some reason none of them got reviewed. So he added me to a list and said it could be up to 6 weeks but he doubts it. Told me to call back in a week, then if nothing happens call back every couple of days until the case closes. I am going to look into the Expedite thing, but I hope that info helps :)
