  1. So when we apply we would do the one for joining a spouse (sorry I dont know the correct name of it), correct? And we would have to send that he has proof of a job over there with that paperwork?

Sorry for the confusion, I just know when we applied to get him here it was multiple different steps and many forms we had to send off. But with me entering the UK it seems like just one form has to be sent off. But, i could be completely wrong it seems

  2. Hey all, It's been awhile!
I know i've posted something similar but im still unsure on some things.

    BACKSTORY:
My husband came in on a K1 visa (2016) and everything went smoothly, he's been living here for awhile and we are just about to apply to remove conditions on his greencard. So next year (end of 2019) we will then apply for him to receive his citizenship here in the USA.
Once he gets his citizenship here shortly after we plan to move back to England.
We will be able to live with his parents until we find a place of our own.

So my question is how exactly do we go about that????

    • I know we need to meet the financial requirements of 18,500 pounds a year, he does. ( But obviously it's in dollars)  Does that matter?

The one thing that confuses me is.. does he have to be living in the UK with a job in order for me to be able to move over.
    OR
Could we have everything figured out including the paperwork and the financial requirements and enter the country together?

    Help!!

  3. Just out of curiosity how hard would it be for someone going through the K1 visa process to move back to England.

My husband is from England and im from USA. Hes here living and we're currently going through the AOS.
Just wondering but what would you have to do if we wanted to move back to England in a few years time and what not.
Has anyone on this forum done it?

  4. Hello all,
We are assembling our AOS packet and i was wondering if the I-765 and the I-131 had to have their own cover letter and such.
AND. Does the I-765 have to have two more passport photos other than the ones i included for the I-485?
This is a sample of our cover letter. Please let me know if it is acceptable.

  5. Hey there.

(We are getting married in August 2016 and are just getting everything ready to mail off after we receive our marriage certificate)

I know this has been asked on here several times but im still unclear of what we should put.
We are assembling our AOS packet and my fiance ( From England) had his medical and received the DS 3025. so my question is

Do we still have to fill out the form I- 693? Or will we just include the DS 3025?
    Thanks in advance!

  6. Im looking to start getting paperwork and everything in order for AOS. So that leaves me with a couple questions.

My fiance is moving here at the start of July ( coming in on the K1 visa).

    1. When should he apply for his social security number?

I just generally need some information about how all of this works when he enters the US and after we get married because he's going to want to work and get his drivers license.
    Any information would be great!

  7. So my fiance is getting ready to go for his interview in London at the US embassy pretty soon and I have a couple questions!

Where is says November 12,2014 It is talking about the Affidavit of Support. Now we have the form I-134 all filled out but do we need the other form I-864 for his interview...?
I thought that form was just for AOS but Im not sure. Please help!
