Help! Just called NVC to see if my case had been sent to the embassy as this is day 29 and I haven't heard anything yet. Case was transferred to embassy 2 weeks ago - wish I had called sooner! I was able to get my case # and invoice ID number so that I can proceed with the next steps. My fiancé's interview will be in Kingston Jamaica so I went to that page to see what the next steps are. Embassy check list is telling me to submit the DS-260 immigrant visa application abut when I try to do that, the system is kicking me out and telling me that for a K1 I need to do the DS-160, the non immigrant visa application. So I'm confused - do I need to do both?

Hi All - my I129F was approved by CSC on 1/5/16 and I was under the impression that the next correspondence I would get would be when NVC sends my case to the embassy (Jamaica). It is now 1/30 and I still haven't heard anything and was planning on waiting until the end of next week before I called - allowing the full 30 days they say to wait. But now that I found this site and I've been reading the posted timelines, I'm wondering (and worried) if I was supposed to get a "received" notice fromNVC because I see that people have indicated both "NVC received " and "NVC left" dates on their timelines. I'm worried that NVC hasn't received my file yet and it's been 25 days. I will call NVC Monday morning but wanted to know if anyone could shed any insight on this and hopefully put me at ease - otherwise I'll be panicking until Monday! Thanks!!!
