    Canadian marrying an American, not staying in country

    in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

    Hello all,

    I am a Canadian citizen and my boyfriend (who is an American Citizen) and I have decided to get married after a 3 year relationship. I am wondering if I require a k-1 visa in order to do so. We are attempting to get married before his service end date in the Air Force on April 30th. I am gainfully employed in Canada and will not be staying in the United States. He will be joining me in Canada sometime after his service in the Air Force is completed. We intend to marry in Ann Arbor Michigan, and are hoping to do in a month. I will be in the country for a total of 5 days.

    Please help!
