we recieved our NOA today 10/18/19 was sent out on the 10th or a little before.. However we mailed our package to Texas not to California or Vermont? I tried to update our timeline but it only offers me the California or Vermont Service Center options. Neither one of them were the lock box that these were supposed to be sent to.. My NOA doesn't include a forwarded to remark either. Is this something that will be coming?

So we have been waiting since February 2017 to hear either way. Today We received the I-797 stating that our case has been approved for AOS under conditional terms. Such a huge relief since they are not very good at giving any kind of communication about the case status.

Hello, I am reading through the checklist for filing for AOS and it says to use the non citizens married name and list previous name. I dont see a place to list her pre marriage name. I need to mail this packet in soon and I am getting very stressed out because I want it to be correct the first attempt. Can someone shed some light on this please?

Hello, I have a question regarding the vaccinations. My wife to be has now arrived here in the United States as of yesterday. She still requires a booster for MMR and Varicella in order for those to be complete. Can someone tell me who I should be contacting regarding these vaccinations.

Also to research AoS for us, is K1 visa considered a family based visa? what catagory should i be looking under to find this information?

we were approved and in October we will be together again but this time in the united states , however i am wondering what else needs to be taken care of prior to leaving china? Are we required to do more in China or is she free and clear to come here before we begin the landslide of paperworks for the AOS and SSN ? What small details need to be completed before she can be eligible to work? maybe this stuff is located in the guides section but it seems a little vague for me. any advice or guidance is appreciated..

I don't believe anything prior is necessary, but once she enters, you have 90 days to get married

once you're married, you file adjustment of status for her to get the GC

HI... we recieved our K1 Visa 3 days ago.. i will go to china and escort her home though immigration in OCT.. We are very happy about this. However I dont seem to find any information on what needs to be done AFTER she comes here to the United States or even if anything needs to be done prior to her coming.. can someone please point me in the right direction.. there are so many posts and honestly I have looked up so much stuff I end up in the same places..

I will be traveling to be with my better half for our interview. Will I be allowed to wait inside the Guangzhou Consulate while she goes for her interview? Or am I going to be wandering the streets of Guangzhou while I wait? Preferably I would rather be inside but if I am left to my own devices, does anyone have any suggestions of things to do?

In your Packet 4 email, did they assign you an interview appointment?

We had already made an appointment and in the email we got for packet 4 the consulate had assigned an appointment on a different day. I was wondering if you had the same.

nope, doesnt say anything about an assigned appointment.. my packet 4 email just says we can now register for one. not supposed to be able to sign for an interview until you receive your packet 4 in the first place

Hey Patrick & LiuNa, the appointments for 8/29 are open for 8:15am. There are 2 slots. I'm planning to go book one today after I confirm with my fiance it's ok.

Unbelievable that this problem is still happening! The system is so ridiculous! We had this same problem THREE years ago trying to schedule for my now wife! If you check my post history I detailed exactly what I did to get an appointment.
