    Thanks in advance.[/quote

    • According to Philippines law, tickets for flights departing from the Philippines cannot be purchased from any region other than the Philippines.

what is the usual way to purchase one way tickets to the US? I am planning on traveling to the Philippines next month, VIA Cebu, for a short visit , then accompany my wife and son back to the US. my normal travel agent has warns dmd about this Law . I am guessing it is regards to travel tax, but I assume there dis a way to book all out flights in the US and pay this tax. any feedback would be appreciated. thanks</p>

I just purchase ticket today one round trip for me and one way from manila to U. S. for my mom I personally booked the ticket from a travel agency and never told me about this kind of law

  3. Hello,

My parents had their interview at the USEM last October 3, 2014. The USEM took their passports but they told them they dont have the medical results and my dad need a new NBI clearance with his old name and a letter of explanation directly from NBI. They didnt give my parents any form or letter but i received a letter from USEM the day of their interview with the instructions.

My mom called the St Lukes and told them about their medical results and they told my mom they already forwarded it to USEM back in June 2014. I wonder why the USEM has no record of it? If they forwarded it, what should my parents do in order for their medical results to be forwarded again?

With my dad's case, he already mailed his new NBI clearance with his old name but the NBI told him that they will wait for the call of the USEm if the NBI clearance is already enough and they will call my dad if there's an interview needed.

In my opinion, NBI should made a letter of explanation and submit it to the USEM but they didnt do it because their reason is, the new NBI clearance of my dad is already enough to show that my dad has no pending case or previous record in NBI.

I dont know what to do anymore about these 3 issues, medical results, NBI clearance and NBI letter of explanation. These is totally absurd and it makes my parents hanging somewhere!

Anyone has the same case? How long did you guys wait before they totally completed the visa. I need help. I wanna make an appointment at the USEM so they can check the case of my parents. Sigh :(

Try calling USEM they will tell you if they already got those three issues that they need. When I called there, the lady who answered the call was very helpful and give me all the information I need. Good luck and hope your parents get their visa soon :)
  4. Ok our case was completed last week 10/15. Yesterday the embassy in Manilia approved an expedite request due to the time we have for my wife to travel. I spoke with the NVC today and they said they were sending my paperwork to the embassey in Manilia today. They also said that the embassy in Manilia (not the NVC) would contact us about the scheduling of the interview. So what should we exspect now and is there anything we should do to keep on top of this situation? Please advise?

I would not wait for the Embassy to contact you, track your case and once you know it reach USEM, give them a call and talk to CO, they might let you do walk in for interview if not, they will give you closer date if your chasing for the time...good luck!

  5. Walked into the door like always the first thing I do is check the status of my case and lo and behold finally popped out says Issued...so happy and is one of the best birthday presents to me :) 25 business days from the interview and 15 days from the time they recv the 221g documents...now it's time to pack my bag, im coming Philippines and will pick up my mother...so excited!

  6. Does LBC actually do the shipping or do they hand it off? I'm expecting a package from the Philippines next week that was shipped LBC. I'm also in California. My wife paid about 1200 pesos. It's a great price for sure.

If it shipped thru LBC from Philippines to california DHL will be the one to deliver to you.
  7. I just one to mail a one or two paged letter to my loved one, but I am curious as to what the cost is, and which shipping service I should use?

    And advice is appreciated :)

$8 for LBC from california to philippines for 2 pages of paper. that will be the cheapest and reliable service if theres is one in your town. It takes 7 to 10 days. I always use them from small packages to big boxes. You can also track the mail from the time you send it till it gets to the reciever

  8. I used UPS shipped to US from Philippines, but my hubby have an account from them so I only used his account number and UPS picked them up at home and delivered safely to GA...Hubby paid over $300 for two large size box but that was more than decade ago when I moved here :) hope that helps...Good luck!

  9. I did not ask for anyone to tell me what my RFE is. I am asking if their is any I 1-30 petitioner out there who received a RFE request from USCIS, if yes, what did they ask for ?

Yes, I got RFE for additional evidence showing that the beneficiary listed on the birth certificate is the same person listed on the I-130 since I forgot to include her marriage certificate...so, I submitted another copy of her birth certificate from nso, her marriage certificate from nso, and copy of her passport...Good luck :)

  10. Thanks so much. I just called the embassy and they took allmy information and then said I needed to stay online and keep checking I told the guy that I have been online for two days straight, Ihavent salept in 12 hours and he said that they released dates already and they filled up....that is impossible because I literally have been online for 12 hours nonstop and saw nothing. He said to check in a week. This is absolutrely the worst procedure ever. Shame on the USEmbassy in Manila!!!!

Yes it's true every time they release a date it won't last few seconds coz so many people are waiting and constantly checking online to get an schedule. My case was expedited and had to go through the same process. I have waited more than two weeks being online day and night until I finally came across with a perfect date...Don't give up your time will come just extend your patient a little bit longer.
  11. I just spent 12 hours straight online and nothing no sleep im losing my mind

what is the CFO? I swear this is just insane I truly have not left my house for two days. I give uo

CFO is Commission on Filipino Overseas everyone from the Philippines is required to get the CFO certificate and must have stamp/sticker on their passport before leaving the Country.
  12. Congratulations! I am going to keep hoping that I will be able to schedule the appointment....I wonder if I am never able to get one what is our option? Any appeals possible?

    Tom

Keep logged in there will be next available appointment coming up monday, June 16 start clicking refresh button on your dashboard start at 8 am manila time or June 15 U.S. around 10PM pacific time. Your other option is to keep calling the consulate, they will give you appt if they have available date when you call...good luck!
  13. I emailed IVManilaReplies@state.gov stating that i did not want to pursue the US citizenship claim and wanted to proceed with the K2 process. apparently, it takes about 5 business days to get a reply. hopefully, they can email me the certification or attach this certification to my fiance's file at the embassy. crossing my fingers on this because the call center rep i talked to would not transfer me to a vice consul and said i needed to email only.

Crossing my fingers for you. Yes they will reply within 5 business days. I did email them regarding my mom's IR-5 and they email me back exactly 5 days. Good luck!
  14. The "certification" that they gave you is the CRBA DENIAL, that's why they let you pursue the visa for the child.

The same thing with mayno71, they have to have their CRBA denied as well before USEM will issue a visa for the child.

Nope the denial box wasn't checked...You cannot deny something that you did not file right? The certification was just saying that the U.S. Citizen parent lack(s) the desire to pursue the child U.S. citizenship claim.
  15. Thank you.

So the ACS vice consul gave you a certification? What do you mean by that? Did he place that certification in your VISA file so that the consular officer would review it?

My only concern is that my fiance is a bit shy and timid. i'm worried that she won't stand firm to them stating that they need to let her proceed with K1/K2 because they didn't catch it during the review (that a CRBA is necessary). Oh gezz, this is becoming very stressful. Was your husband allowed to go w/ you to the embassy and attend the interview with you?

Do you think at this point it's best to talk to the vice consul and see what they recommend OR should we just proceed and tell them we want to proceed with K1/K2? i hope i can be there in person because i have no problem being firm about this.

any advice would be appreciated...thanks again!

Talk to the ACS. I had to get the certification first from the vice consul from ACS so I can proceed with the K visa. CRBA requirements are pretty much easy to get like I said you might way it down since you don't have interview appt. as of yet. No my husband wasn't with us during the interview only me and my son
  16. hi JRluvsLhyn,

so this means there is still hope for me, right? the NVC sent our file to the Manila embassy already on May 29, so i would imagine they already have my file, we completed the DS-260 as well last week. so we are already far along in the process. we just need to make an appointment.

what number did your husband call to contact the US Consular Office? Can you please give me that number? did they give you approval over the phone to proceed with K3 instead of having to do a CRBA?

sorry for so many questions, but i really want to avoid doing the CRBA and want to proceed with the K1/K2. i'm in the same situation as you although we don't have an interview appointment yet or the medical exam.

thanks again for replying to my post...you have given me hope.

Yes you still can proceed with the K1/K2. I am sure they will tell you the same thing that they cannot issue a visa to a u.s. citizen for your child but be firm that you are pursuing this since you already have approved papers for K1/K2 and will be choosing this route. My husband spoke to the officer while I was there at (ACS) american citizen services 523-1001 ext 2335 however, this was way long ago am not sure if they still have the same number. The ACS vice consul give me a certification and he put in there that I have insufficient requirements for CRBA since we did not submit anything and did not proceed with this route therefore, they let me proceed with K4 and I still have to arm rustle with the other fellow in there. They told me in person that yes I can go ahead and proceed with the K visa after I kept arguing why would they approved our petition if they know that they cannot issue a visa to my child. Even at the day of my interview, the filipino guy inside the embassy still giving me a hard time but after I ask for his supervisor, they let me proceed to the window for my final stop the visa consular officer. It wasn't easy but We did it...Good luck!
  17. Your daughter is a US citizen by birth UNLESS proven otherwise. That's the premise. Now, NVC doesn't scrutinize K1 applications unlike they do to immigrant visa applications because all they provide for K1 is the case numbers then transmit it to the local embassies.

USEM is the one whose going to check all your paperwork.

for Mayno71, I personally gone through the same process and it was overwhelming dealing with both. My son was born in the Philippines with U.S. Citizen father but we filed K3 and K4. Once our petition got approved that's when we found out about CRBA but it was taking forever back and forth so many times of trips to the embassy so I gave up and told the consulate that I have to pursue with the K4 for my son since our paper was already approved and our interview is few days away so they don't have a choice but to honor my request even though they were saying that they cannot issue a visa to a U.S. Citizen and I told them that our Petition was already approved and I choose to proceed with K4. I deal with many people inside the embassy couple of times including a phone call from my husband to a U.S consular officer about CRBA because they are pursuing us this way but because of limited time away from our interview,I stand firm with my decision to proceed with the K4 and they finally said ok and yes child interview schedule will be the same time with the mother. During our interview we were told that We are approved and had given a green card with a stamp IV Approved...We enter U.S.A. as K3 and K4 and soon as we got here that's when we process our son's U.S. Passport
  18. Hi. Can someone share how you were able to obtain a police certificate in china? i am so desperate. :( please help me. thank you in advance!

If you have a friend who is currently in china, you can ask them to get you one, all you need to show is a copy of your alien resident card you can scan and send it to a friends email then your friend can go to the police dept. to get one. My friend got it the same day she went without any issue and got mine from Hsinchu but this was done few years back...Good luck!
