  1. Our K3 was aproved on Aug 23 finally but too late I would say. I already sent everything to NVC for the CR1 and we should get "case complete" in like two weeks.

Would it still be a good idea to go to the K3 interview and then wait and go to the CR1 interview? Just so we can have the medical. But the question is: could she use the K3 medical for the CR1? It will have to be the original paper I guess. Maybe getting two originals and she takes it would be a good idea.

If we could use the K3 medical it will speed up the CR 1 process because the day the case will reach the consulate she could call and say that she has everything and ask for an interview date. That way we can avoid the time for Packet 4.

  2. You have to wait until they are generated by NVC before sending the ones you have generated to them. The automated system should let you know when this happens.

I called the IVR after I talked with the operator. It says that on August 21 a packet of information was generated which is the Ds230. So that means I can send my self generated?

  3. I noticed a lot of people geta RFE I-864. How can I avoid that?

Documents Included with the I-864- for me and my sponsor:

2005 tax returns (only have 1040 form),

    W2

    letter from job

    proof of citizenship

However I will include 3 yrs of tax returns and W2 for the sponsor just in case. There will not be any income problems I know that for sure.

I think these is all that I have to include. Is it anything else? Could I still get an RFE?

  4. I just called the IRS and I will get it in 10 day. Thank you for the info.

One problem will be that NVC received the AOS Bill and IV bill on the Aug 14th, so I think next week they will generate the I-864 and I wont have the Tax return although my sponsor has everything.

Hopefully next week they will generate the DS-230 too, that way I will send both at the same time and get this thing over with.

I am not going to go with K3 even if it gets approved next week. At the embasy in Bucharest there is like one week and a half between the time the NVC sends the packet for CR1 to the consulate and the Interview,, and I think that this whole process (if I dont get any RFEs) will not take more that a month and a half from now.

k3 will be just a waiste of money and time.

  5. I have a few questions. Maybe some of you that went through this may help me.

I have a job I earn about 20,000 but last year I only made 13,000 because I visited my wife for 4 months. Now I have one joint sponsor, my father who makes 40,000 and his household is 3 persons. I know there is no problem with the income but.....

Do I still have to complete an I-864? In the packet it says yes but just trying to make sure.

If I do,,, do I still have to include my 1040, the letter and stubs? I only have my W2 from 2005.

For the JOINT SPONSOR I have everything, 1040, W2s (Last 3 years just in case), letter and stubs.

Is it ok to just have the I864 and the W2 for me? Would that be enough since my Joint Sponsor I-864 has everything?

  6. I know everybody is saying that K3 is moving but to me it seems like just a few people got approved but most of them including me are still waiting. It seems that some days they approve some days they dont. This waiting time it is starting to become absurd especially when they approve applications received at the end of May or in June when there is a lot of us that applied in March or April and still nothing. I know I have to be patient but I am kind of sick of this K3 thing. Are there a lot of people that are not registered with VJ? Maybe there are a lot of approvals that we dont know about.

They got our RFE on 06/12, it has been a month and no touches yet. My NOA1 is dated April 10 and it has been 4 months since then. I guess a lot of you are like me especially those of you that applied in March.

  7. I am sorry to hear what happened to you. Just hang in there. Unfortunately, NVC won't fill out any blank for you. Did you generate an AOS Fee Bill barcode sheet using James' shortcut? If you already sent that one, then you are fine now, if not, send it rightway with $70.00 written on the blank space. Good news is, AOS Fee Bill will generate I-864. So you won't lose anytime because of this. Chosing choice of agent will lead NVC to generate IV Fee Bill ($380.00) which won't be affected by AOS Fee Bill delay. Good Luck.

I did use James' shortcut. Today I also got the IV bill and I sent it in, so all thats left is to get the I-864 and the DS-230 which should not take more than two weeks or maybe three at most.

  8. Not the first time I have heard of this happening but it isnt common. Did you ask them what you should do considering that you already did send in the bottom section of the AOS Bill? What they are after is the barcode so they can match it to your case. I cant remember off hand, but does the top section also have a barcode? Perhaps you can send this if they are insisting on something, with an attached letter explaing such. I'd be giving them another call though and check to see if it has been found as this often happens too.

Well, they told me that they sent another bill which I did not get yet, but I already sent in a second one. It was the bottom part of that paper the operator said that they did not get. She said that the bank can't not process the check without that paper bill. What is really absurd to me is why they had to send me another paper bill just to write $70 in that box when whey could have done this themselves and give it to the bank for processing.

  9. Finnaly some movement! Congrats!

  11. Hi. On the 17th my AOS Bill and DS3032 were issued, yesterday I just got back to US from visiting my wife, and today I sent in a self generated copy of the AOS Bill but I put IR1 by mistake. It should have put CR1 since it only has been a year and 8 months since we got married. Do any of you think they will reject the AOS Bill because it says the wrong visa type on it?

    Thanks

  12. Hi. My name is Andre, I am a new member here and I have a big dilema! My wife is from Romania. I sent the 130 on March 16 and the 129 on April 4, I got NOA1 on April 14, but it seems like it takes a long time to get NOA2. If it goes like this she should be here in September if we are lucky.

Now, I was thinking to go to Romania to apply overthere for 130 because it only takes like about 3 weeks or even less. The problem is that I have already applied here and I dont know if it is possible to go overthere and apply one more time at the consulate. Would they know that I am applying again? Or should I cancell the 130 petition that I filled here so that I can do it over there?
