Hi All,

My Syrian wife today had her immigrant interview in Turkey after the reaffirmation by USCIS. Her first interview was back in 2013 in Egypt. Today she was given the "Administrative Processing" checkmark on the sheet. The officer told her she has a complete file and didn't take her passport. What does it mean if anyone knows?

Is a "Certified True Copy" of divorce certificate accepted in the immigration interview?

My original divorce paper says "First Revocable" divorce, however the "Final Divorce" is a "Certified True Copy", will the immigration officer in the interview accept the "Certified True Copy"?

How to obtain the "Irrevocable Divorce" from Egypt?

Hi,

If we have only one irreplaceable original copy, does the officer have the legal rights to return them later or my wife should insist to take them back with her at the end of the interview?

My wife is Syrian citizen will have an Immigration interview in Turkey where she lives now, however she is required to submit a police certificate from "Egypt" where she used to live. The problem is the Police certificate will take 4 month to get to her which is after the interview by 3 months. Anyone who has been in a similar situation can help please?

I'm very grateful for your time and answer. I have 2 more questions please:

1- Will they ask for the " Original document" that was the only reason for returning the case or since it has been Reaffirmed then they won't?

2- My wife was living in a different country before, the NVC site says the "Police certificate" isn't required from any country that you obtained already a police certificate from and never returned back?

I'm an American citizen living in USA, as of now I'm waiting for the "Interview appointment" email from the American embassy in "Ankara" after our case was " Reaffirmed" by the USCIS. I will be very grateful is anyone have a real true answer to my questions:

1- Can they provide an Arabic translator as my wife speaks Arabic only?

2- Since this is a "Reaffirmation" case, what is possible documents they might ask for it?
