  1. Hi dhevie, my mom had her interview yesterday and the CO gave her 221g and it says there that she needs to send her new NBI clearance. I'm just wondering if how long it will take for them to issue the visa? Thanks for your reply

  2. Good evening everyone.

Is this CASE COMPLETE? or RFE

I would like to know for those applicant waiting for CASE COMPLETE Email/letter. I do Receive an Email for my mother (Beneficiary) a CHECKLIST of additional Documents. All required additional documents are need to send to Beneficiary to bring for her interview.

    These are the Additional Documents.

    *Financial Documents

    -I864 (Corrected forms)

    *Birth Certificate

    - A baptismal certificate that contains the date and place of birth, as well as both parents names (Providing the baptism took place shortly after birth)

-An affidavit from a close relative, preferably the applicant's mother, stating the date and place of birth, both parents names and the mother's maiden name.

    *Passport

    -Copy of Valid Passport

    *Philippines NBI clearance (Travel abroad)

This was stated at the lower part of the letter:

-You do not need to contact the NVC at this time. Also do not send an updated I-864 affidavit of support form or documents to the NVC. After we schedule the immigrant visa interview, we will send you an appointment letter.

They will send you a letter NVC welcome letter were CASE NUMBER and INVOICE NUMBER is listed, as well with the list of required documents to submit, You will need the said INVOICE number and CASE NUMBER to access The NVC.STATE.GOV, Regarding to what i submitted for my dad, its all listed at this website. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html, I'm not able to submit the NBI clearance since this is not required, instead a police clearance. I dont have available at that time so did put Not available.

Is the NOA1 the Receipt? and the NOA2 the approval from USCIS? Or is the NOA1 the approval from USCIS saying that they are forwarding it to NVC?

NOA2 is the letter stating that your petition is Approved and petition will be forwarded to NVC.

you can download the APP USCIS were you can monitor the status of your case.

  6. I got my dad's NOA 2 but still waiting for my mom. they forward the approved application to NVC for further processing. I Think NVC will send a welcome letter then we have to pay any fees.

Hello guys just a helpful tips, once your application is transferred to NVC usually they said it will takes 30-45days, but you can guys call them after 2-3weeks and ask for CASE NUMBER and INVOICE so you can set up an assign agent for your case before even receiving the NVC welcome letter were your case number and invoice number is listed.

  7. called NVC today to get an update when are they going to open IV so I can make a payment, I was advice it will take 7days for the AOS fee to clear then IV will open. Also I ask if I can send all my documents already while waiting for IV to open, They said that I can send it, just make sure that I have all the papers on the checklist.,

well most of it is Not Applicable to me but I am going to send it real soon. Good luck to everyone.

  8. I sent my documents my I-130 petition for my dad November 2nd 2015. They received it on Nov. 5th and forward my case to California Service Center then they sent me an email that day as my NOA-1 and official NOA-1 came in the mail few days later. My dad's petition was approved Jan 7 and then case sent to NVC. On Jan. 29 his case was on the system and got welcome packet from NVC days later with his case number and other instruction needed. Paid the AOS fees last week and sent the AOS form, financial documents and supporting documents to them 2 days later. Monday they received my documents and few daysago they finally unlock the IV fee and I was able to pay for it. Currently waiting for them to unlock the form D-260 so that I can fill up the IV Application form. They send me an email the other night that they will review the documents in the next 2-4 weeks and if it is good to go they will forward it to the US Embassy in Manila for interview.

I suggest every now and then call the NVC and check about your mom's case status.

Good luck and hope the wait will be over soon on your end.

Congratulations for your approval, I also petition my mom and dad, it seems that California Service Center is really fast. Congratulations! :dancing:
