  1. The insurance provider for my company sent a letter wanting an explanation as to why a SSN# was not provided. We listed that she has traveled here to marry and is currently going through the immigration process as to the reason for no SSN#.

This satisfied the insurance company and she was added to my coverage.

If your HR Dept, does not have something similar, reach out to the insurance company.

    Good Luck!

  2. I suggest that you start and fill in your timeline so when you ask for help others can give you better advice, remember everyone that goes through this process is different no one has the same circumstances.

You also need to be patient, the US Government processes the applications slowly

Just read the documents, fill them with the correct and truthful information, read the guides on here and then if you still have any questions ask

    Good Luck with your process

  3. I made color copies for the I-129F when I submitted the original package, no RFE and approved. At the interview I took the Original Certified papers, initially at the interview they retained the documents, but when she was notified that her passport and visa were ready they were all returned when she picked up everything.

Just stating how our process is going remember each journey is different.

  4. One more reason not to trust an attorney, just my opinion

But when I sent mine back in January there was a unusual delay but it was received, lucky for me I sent it with guaranteed delivery and filed a claim and got a refund.

I did all the filings with only the help and guidance of this site and I had a chance of a potential problem with the journey.

That being said, everything has been approved no RFE's and the interview was smooth. She will be arriving here on June 5

I will post a review later

  5. Hello, I just returned from Colombia our K1 Visa was approved on monday and when I entered at I spoke with the officer and ask when I bring my fiance in a few weeks which line do I need to be in he said that we both go through the "visitor line" and told me not to let them separate us. He said depending on how busy it will be that day will determine how long it will take and that most likely we will be directed to a secondary. My only concern is trying to schedule a delay for the connecting flight

  6. Your fiancee (Petitioner) should receive an e-mail from the embassy like this:

it will be from IV Bogota and the subject will be: BGTXXXXXXXXXX Beneficiary Name.

In the Email it will read:

    "

    Good afternoon,

We have received the approved petition for your fiancé from USCIS. Please respond to this e-mail and provide your fiancé’s personal e-mail address so we may send instructions on how to book a visa interview. Thank you for your assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

    Consular Section

    cmg

    This email is UNCLASSIFIED."
then you will receive the information in an e-mail.
We were just approved on Monday, I have not posted a review yet but if you have any questions message me.
    Thanks,
    Dwight
  7. Hello,

We received our NOA2 March 15, and I waited ten business days before I started calling the NVC, I called about every three days.

On April 7 (Thursday) I called and still nothing, then on April 12 (Tuesday) I called and was told that it was received and processed and sent to the Embassy in Bogota the day before. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and gave me instructions on what I needed to do.

I think that the NVC doesn't communicate internally and update their database often.

Anyway, we have our interview scheduled and she is in the process getting the laboratory, medical and the appointment for the fingerprints.

Good Luck everyone and be patient!

  8. Hello, if you read on here it is hard to determine how exactly the USCIS processes out applications.

Having said this we had a rather unique situation when I applied. I put in the package a lot of detailed information and thought for sure a RFE was still going to happen. (I won't go into details here in the public forum)

Luckily, it was approved in 49 days and now we have the interview scheduled and we are very excited. She is in the process getting all the necessary laboratory, medical and the appointment to have her fingerprints taken.

Like someone said above, once you receive the NOA2, the process seems faster.

The best thing to do is communicate with each other, stay positive and one morning when you wake you will have the text and email from the USCIS telling you your application was approved! :dancing:

    Good Luck!

    Dwight

  9. Hello Everyone,

Was Approved Tuesday March 15, 2016 it took 49 days. I am relieved that there was no delays or RFE's I had a possible red flag with this petition but I called and spoke with a Tier 2 supervisor and she was very helpful as to what documents I should send with the package.

Now What? Will I get notifications with instructions? From USCIS?

Good Luck to everyone waiting but be positive.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information

    Dwight
