  1. I dont know what level he is working at. But having a seaman family background I know that ech sailor is given a contract for 9 or 6 months. So he can send you the copies of his old contracts or he can send the original ones. Also he can send the paystubs too of all the previous salaries. I dont know if he has a CDC. That is contrary to a passport for seamen and it is more important than a pasport to travel alongwith a ship as a crewmember. So if he has one then he can send copies of his CDC.

  2. I think you will be ok though. Try to Google "visa medical".

Wel first of all I am not disable. i have been in a foreign country already for six years where I have been working a regular job and mantaining a family of three people. Thats the reason I would give them a letter, explaining what is the nature of my problem and it doesnt effect my daily routine. I have read the Dept of State Ineligibility standadrs. I didnt see about back pain or any pain related problems being ineligible for visa.

  3. I had a medical today for K-1 in Osaka, Japan. Well as ussual we do have one red flag in the medical too(every step we get a red flag lololol). Well I have a back pain and have been taking pain killer including prescribed steriods. So I dont know if that would be a major issue or not since I can work and move perfectly just pain in lower back for sometime so take painkiller. Anyone heard of being denied in the medical on the back pain problem? I am giving letter from my Dr explaining my situation.

  4. Today I recieved a letter:

As the beneficiary of an approved fiance(e) petition (I-129F),your petition was valid for foue months to 23Sep2006.

In order to qualify for a K visa. you must apply for your visa before the end of this four month period. If you need more than four months to finalize your travel and wedding plans, your petition must be extended for an additional four months.

_X_ (1) Please ask your fiance(e)/spouse to send a signed and dated letter, addressed to the "U.S. Consul, Embassy Tokyo," which reaffirms his/her interest in bringing you to the U.S. and requests an extension of the validity of your I-129F valadity for an additional four months. As soon as we recieve this letter, we will extend the valadity of your petition by four months.

First of all nice of them to inform of this about this before our time ran out. Second of all just yesterday we received our package and today they are saying that our petition has expired?

I read here on Visa Journey the other day by someone that these things are extended automatically by the consul. Apparently that isn't the case. I was not aware of this four month rule til now.

Does it mean that out petition expired September 23rd ? yet this letter is dated October 3rd !

  5. aawww Kristen we feel for you. It was an honest and easy mistake to make. Look at those who have opened the brown envelope when it says do not open lol. Or the ones who mail their petitions to the wrong center. Everyone makes mistakes. Cheer up hon we can still have the yard sale and sell that forwarded email lol.( could always get even with that emailer, you got the case number, call and cancel their petition) naaa naa I'm just kidding!!! little humor

  6. Today we recieved the Packet of instructions. I am feeling really confused now and a bit discouraged that we can complete everything in time to get back to USA before the birth of our baby in January. Everything they are asking for is exactly what we just sent them a month ago when they sent us a letter requestiong documents and evidence. How can I gather what they already have? The only thing They dont have is medical and Police check. They have all our family affidavits of our relationship, all our photos, my birth certificate( which most of you know is what was holding our case up, I only have the one they took since they asked for the originals of everything) So now what am I suppose to do? they also mentioned the police certificate can take up to 3 months to obtain. In 3 months we will be having our baby and if born here then we will have to stay longer in order to get the baby's passport and birth certificate from both Japan and USA. Because of the Embassy's screw up with our last daughter's birth certificate it took 1 year just to get her certificate sent to us. I really thought that recieving this packet would be a happy moment but now It's like torture.

I also read in the instructions that the medical in Japan will cost well over $200 not including cost of vaccinations, which I will need all required to go to USA since my father recently told me discarded my vaccination records and some other papers of mine! :(

  7. I think the woman did a very unselfish deed. She could have lived lavishly and p!ssed her money away but didn't. She saved it for a better cause to help make a difference in the world she was leavingbehind. One should not get all bent out of shape assuming this woman had family to give it to. maybe she didn't have children. Even if she did, it's possible they didn't give a rat's A$$ about her so she didn't want to swander the money on ingrates that would waste it. However anyone who would save that kind of money to give to other's is hardley selfish, far from it infact. I'm sure if she had family she would have given them a portion. Who knows maybe she did! You know the media..they only tell part of the story that will make headlines. Anyways..if only my name was charity lol.

  8. Just a few hours ago we recieved a phone call from the Embassy to inform us that they have finished processing my case and that they are sending me the instructions plus my passport so that I can get my medical done. She said soon as I get that done let them know soon as possible so they can set up my interview. Seems they are expediting our case. Our congress sent another letter which was replied saying they would like to expedite my case soon as I give the document they requested. I have since sent that in. They sent a letter to me informing they recieved my document and that they still were waiting on answers to their questions from other government agencies and that this would add significant time to the processing. Our lawyer also sent in a letter to follow up on it. They know we need to get to USA as soon as possible for 1) the birth of baby(she has to fly by Nov) and 2) our daughter's surgery (which needs to be done before June) 5 days later (today) we got the call!!!!

  9. She was thinking that she could stay and marry later.

This is the part that is grabbing at me. Seems like she had other intentions(possibly)

Sounds like her main objetive was just to get here and then she would contemplate whether she wanted to marry you. If that's so then it seems like a bit of a slap in the face. marriage isn't a debate one ponders after getting the visa. Of course I don't know how your relationship is in general so I surely don't want to sound like I am accusing her of anything false. I would take the situation she is presenting and see if there have been any other little red flags she might have waved or odd behavior prior to coming to USA. For your sake I hope she is genuine and you two can come to a mutual feeling about whether to marry or not. I don't think she should go back and try for another visa extension or visa just to buy more time into the USA to decide if she really wants to be with you. She needs to know and should know, it's now or never. Just be sure she doesn't decide yes out of pressure for time. If she feels pressured then she is not ready.

  10. What is there to think about? She got a visa and got all affidavits swearing to get married within 90 days of entering the US and now she is not sure? Please send her ### back to where she came from and get another woman! People like this really annoy me.

Other people are waiting to get visas, and some of those who have them are playing with what they have.

I wish this visa would have taken 10 years to process, to give her enough time to think about whether to get married or not, once she gets here.

FYI, the assumption of the K-1 visa is that one is already decided on getting married at the time the initial I-129F is filed. Otherwise why call oneself a fiance?

    ------

You are right Majizee. Though you are an AH sometime but I agree with you on this issue. Well if the LADY is not from VWP then she should pay thousands thanks to USCIS DOS and GOD for the visa issuance. Its so miserable and painful to see that people who dont deserve to be there get there more quickly than those who do. Lotta people come up with the post that my fiance is like that or like this, my fiance is changing mind blah blah. FUKC this system which cant differenciate between haves and have not. :(

  12. What is with some men? Honestly. I've lived with three men in my life (father, ex-boyfriend, and husband) and lived in a dorm with co-ed bathrooms and had a job with co-ed staff bathrooms, and never, ever, ever has there been urine anywhere on or around the toilet when I've gone to use it. Why is everyone assuming that pissing all over the floor and walls is a given?

Also, the rule in my house (both where I live now, and growing up) has always been that you have to *close the toilet*. Not just put the seat down, but close the lid. Partly so the cats/dogs don't get into it, but mostly because ... who wants to look at the inside of a toilet? Which means that I've also never in my life had the experience of sitting down on the edge of a toilet and "falling in" because the seat was up. Because the toilet is closed and the person who wants to use it has to open it. Period.

lol would that be before or after using it?

I grew up scared of toilets and if i had to face a closed lid toilet before using it I'd probably have been afraid to look at what could be waiting inside that could jump up and get me lol.

for the record..no longer spooked by them, though it seems most toilets in USA love to flood over the slightest bit a heft dropped within. Never use a toilet there if there isnt a plunger nearby. uuh and no i dont drop whale turds.
