@ss24 * What is the name of the first 10 ammendments,
* we elect a president in what month
* longest river
* when was the declaration of independence
Cant' remember the other 2 , but to be honest, they ask which ever they want, so just know them all .
I still haven't received the update on the OATH file uploaded, but I'm hoping its on the 23rd, I have so many things to do when I get the naturalization paper.
Thank you again. I agree, there are lots of things that need to be done after the oath.. at least one thing is off the list for you after the interview.

@ss24 I can give you a summary.
First thing is to remember that you have to pay for parking.
The waiting room was not even 20% capacity with all the people there for interviews, many of them were waiting for some one being interviewd.
I got interviewed by a young IO , from Korean decent, he said my name and I just followed him, he made copies of my GC, DL and Mexican Passport. We then went to his office, he made me do the right hand up while standing and to swear to just tell the truth.
After that, he quickly gave me a piece of paper to read " Thanskgiving is a holiday " then he made me write something about Thanksgiving.
Then he made 6 civics questions, super fast, not even finishing the question.
He then proceeded to check my case, made me a TON of question, most of them completely unrelated to my case since I'm applying via Work / 5 year rule and my wife is not a US Citizen, the questions were such as my wife's name, son's name, their nationality , when we got married, he even had me show him pictures from my cellphone of them and my family. He asked me in 4 different ways if I was married and when, always changing the way he posed the question or the way I had to respond it. After he was done, I asked him why was all that, since I felt like a type of interrogation and he said that he is an Ex-Marine and that he wanted to make sure that I was not lying about things and that he had Interrogation training.
Anyways, there was a small problem due to some information being missing from my Green Card case, that fortunately he was able to find after going to talk to some one else a couple of times, I was getting nervous but finally everything went well.
Oh , forgot to mention, I was taken inside 25 minutes BEFORE my actual interview time, so get there early.
Hope that helps!
Thanks a lot Kamex009 for the detailed info, it will definitely help me. Also by any chance do you remember the civic questions the officer asked you? One last thing, where did they schedule your oath - is it in OC or LA? Congratulations again and thank you for your response to my question

My interview lasted almost 1 hour, the IO asked way too many questions not related to my case.
Anyways I'm just awaiting the Oath date ! hopefully I can make it to the May 23rd in LA !!!!
BTW, anyone that has taken the Oath , after the ceremony is over, do you get asked if there's any family members you would like to petition for? ... I was told by my friend that got Naturalized a couple of years ago, that he was asked this question, but haven't been able to verify it.Congratulations!!! Do you mind sharing your interview experience and questions asked as I am going to the same field office next month? Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I filed (I-752) on February 1st, 2016 through California Service Center and they received my application with supporting documents on February 3rd, 2016 then I received my NOA1 on February 8th, 2016. Till now I did not get any biometric appointment, so I called customer service on April 5th, 2016 and the agent submitted reuqest for me then I got response on April 13th, 2016 saying:
"We are unfortunately experiencing s longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you"
Does anyone know when I'll be expecting to get the letter, because I received the email from CSC on April 13, 2016 but today's date April 28, 2016 and did not receive anything yet? Is anyone know once they put the name on the scheduler how many days I should wait to receive the biometric appointment?
I will appreciate any help.
I had the same problem as well, I applied in Aug 2015, did not get the biometric notice till Oct 2015 but mine got approved 4 months after.

When sending copies of our drivers license, do we need to make copies of BOTH sides? or just the front side?
What about passports, do we need to copy ALL pages, or just the bio page?
None of them are needed for I 751 . You could use driving license for you and your spouse to proof same residence, that's about it!

How long after the "card mailed" e-mail did you receive the "USPS picked up" e-mail? Thanks.
It was on the same day for me but USPS picked up email came later in the afternoon whereas the other one came early in the morning.

Dear folks,
I am back again for some valuable suggestion. I have inquired to the immigration service center (vermont center) regarding not getting any update on my case after the bio-matrix scan and got the response saying, "We found no evidence that a properly executed form G-28 hs been submitted ". Can me/my spouse appeal to remove the attorney at this stage as they didn't find G-28 properly, anyway??
Now, problem is I am out of US without any travel document/visa with the hope of renew of green card and have a booking to fly back in April. What should I do?
Note: The form I-751 had filled in October, 2015 and appeared for bio-matrix in November, 2015.
Appreciate your suggestion,
Did your I-751 receipt notice for 1 year extension expired already? If not, you can use that to fly back to US and no need to wait for green card approval.

First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum!
So with the election coming up, and the possibility of having a new republican president, i'm a little nervous. Especially
considering all of the republicans still running oppose same-sex marriage.
The earliest date I can apply for ROC is about a week before the general election.
Do you guys think I have anything to worry about?
You should be okay and as others said, it is approved by Supreme court so need to worry about. In fact, we are same sex couple too and i got my ROC approved a month ago.. planning to apply citizenship around end of this year. Good luck!

Hopefully I get it before my trip to Mexico on March 22nd
Most likely you will get way before than March 22nd. I got mine in exact 1 week!

Thank you so much for clearing my doubts. Just to clear my thoughts, so I/my attorney need to resubmit G-28 form as asked in the updatation from immigration??
It needs to be submitted by your attorney. In my case, my attorney re-sent it to USCIS.

Hello everyone,
My attorney has filled the form I-751 along with G-28 (my authorization for representative) in October-2015 at Vermont center. I have got an appointment of Bio-matrix in the next month, i.e. November. Recently, I inquired through my attorney as I didn't get a single update since the day of bi-matrix. We got response from USCIS that G-28 form didn't filled properly and need to submit again.
I don't understand it. Also, Should I get rid of any representative (attorney) at this stage.
Thank you in advance,
Hi there,
I would not worry about it as I had the same problem and came to know from USCIS tier 2 officer (while inquiring about the delay in getting biometric notice) that my G-28 form was not showing in their online system so my attorney had to resubmit the G-28 again, In fact my attorney never received the receipt notice or biometric notice either and only got my approval notice however I got all 3 of them. Ideally both you and your attorney should get a copy of everything from USCIS so as long as one of you are getting them, you should be okay,. Also, I did not get any notice for good 4 months after the biometric and then got my approval from CSC center and since you are VSC filer, it might take little longer for you. Hope this helps,

@HK12 - Thanks a lot, appreciate your help.

ss24, just chiming in: I received the "your card was mailed" update on Friday and did not get the tracking number update until Tuesday, which was the day the USPS picked up my card.
My theory is that the "card was mailed" update is being sent when the card leaves the production department and is ready for being mailed, and that the tracking number update is being sent when the card has actually left USCIS and is on the way.
One last question, did you need to present physically to sign and receive the card or did they just drop it in the mailbox? I am travelling next week for work so thought of checking with you.. during AOS, no signature was needed and hoping that it is same process for this one as well.

Can someone please update my husband's status? His application is approved on Feb 11th. 2016. We haven't received the green card yet though. But on the website, the green card was sent today. Thanks!
Hi joonphon,
Looks like our approval dates and card mailing dates are same. Did you get any tracking number for the card? It says "Card was mailed with today's date" in USCIS website but no USPS tracking number. Is it showing the same for you or did you get a USPS tracking number? Please let me know.
Thanks in advance,

Seems like the "Early Bio" approach doesn't really help...
I guess one moron decided to do it once and all the dummies that followed him are living in a dream that they will get approved earlier. What a joke.
I personally think it does not affect that much because of the backlogs so by the time your application is being picked up and they check the biometric status, it does not really matter whether you had finished the biometric a week ago than your scheduled date or not. However It could impact your processing if they are always current with the applications and does not have any backlogs.

Hi there,
Can you please let me know whether your online status has been updated with Request for evidence as well or did you directly get the letter in mail for evidence with no notification in the website? Also, what it is currently showing online for your case?
Thanks in advance,
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here so I hope I'm as clear as possible.
My husband is from Hungary and we were married in October of 2012. We received his 2 year conditional green card the following year, which was a ton of work and we were so happy to get it. Now it is time to renew for the 10 year visa and remove the conditions (I-751).
We sent in everything we could back in June. Joint health and car insurance documents, joint lease, utility bills and just general bills sent to our address, married-filing-jointly tax returns for the past two years and as many pictures and letters as I could come up with. We aren't wealthy people... we've been living in the same apartment this whole time. Also, we've had separate bank accounts because I wanted him to learn to manage his own finances here (he never had a bank account in Hungary because he was 17 when he came to the US and never got an account of his own when he arrived). I helped him set up his own account and credit card so he could earn a credit score. We have done very well not to accumulate debt or liabilities, but now that I received this letter from the USCIS I'm feeling like they WANTED us to take out a bunch of loans together this whole time and that's what they wanted to see to approve his application.
I'm extremely distressed about this situation. They are requiring more evidence by April 1. I don't have much else to give them, but here is a list of everything I can think of to send them. I would like to know if there is anything else someone can suggest to us that will help our case:
1. I added him as a joint to my bank account the same night we received the letter. Obviously, previous statements will not have his name listed as an account owner, but anything in the future will.
2. I went to the DMV yesterday morning and added him as a joint owner on my car title (the updated one will take 4-6 weeks to arrive). It is the ONLY true asset I own. We own no property.
3. We financed a car as of November of 2015. I can send them the loan documents from my credit union and the bill of sale for the car, both of which will have our names on it.
4. I also am trying to get an official document from my employer showing that my husband is the beneficiary on my life insurance policy.
I also called and spoke to an immigration officer who told me that currently, it looks like our relationship is more of a "roommate" situation. I was shocked to hear this, but all I can do is try to appease them. I'm going to send in all of this additional stuff ASAP, but I'm worried because it doesn't show much for the duration of our marriage (more than three years). If anybody has ANY suggestions or advice for proving that we've intermingled our finances or assets for this amount of time, I would be so so grateful. I'm terrified that they could deny my husband's application when I am trying to hard to prove that we really are marriage out of love and not some scam.
Thank you for reading!

@bkthandri - I got the same notification the day before my oath ceremony so I called the USCIS and talk to Tier 2 and he mentioned to me that they run the background checking until the day before of Oath Ceremony and this is for the background check run they did on my case. I think that's what it is for you guys too but you can always call USCIS and talk to Tier 2 to clarify the email you had received.
