Wish these people would remember that we are all people not just case files.

We were told they sent it back to USCIS in States so filing FOIA at USCIS and also asking legalnet for more information.

We are going to file CR1 instead because the K1 is pain.

Good luck with your case!!! Hopefully, you will get your visa soon. Did you already register on the site for visa? If your passport is still there, and you didn't register for the visa online, it could be a reason that it still held up.

Did they make any contact with you at all?

Was your status in ceac updated at any time after the interview?

We all had the interview here and we are waiting for the embassy call and hopefully approve our visa asap.

Ours has AP processing both times they were updated - after interview and last Friday. Nothing changed today.

If your fiance had interview - should be AP if you didn't get an answer right away...

Me and my fiancé was just talking about how its hard that we have to wait for someone to tell us that we can be together...when you really love someone patience is an important virtue...love and faith is like life for long distance relationships...I hope to hear good news for all of you even myself..

They did the same thing with my fiancee. They gave her back the pictures we sent in.

They also gave her some pages explaining how to register for Aramex location of documents pick up

Not really sure what's going on with the Consulate in Casablanca, we shall see

I really don't know too, but there is one thing i am sure about : if you really love each other and so desperate for making your own family and most of all you are honest. Then nothing will stop in your way to make that happen because even if you didn't make by consulate, you will make it by law.

Its really hard but we need to have faith and patience in both ways.

They kept everything, literally. I only got the brochure which is mostly meant for females.

It should be quick for you, they kept my passport because they want me to remain in the country, that's what our lawyer said. I resided in 4 different countries and my passport is almost full, so they should do their lil investigations. I remember when the CO was asking me about every single entry/exit stamp on my passport, it was interesting.

We contacted them a week ago and they said my case still requires AP and they will call once it's done.

Anybody please got the passport tracking/pick up website to work? I follow the instructions but I don't find the K1 category in their.

No one is asked to submit their info on aramex for visa untill they are approved by the consulate.

They don't have k1 category there, you should put Cr1. Thats what the moroccan guy told me when i submitted my documents for the interview.

I am 6 month in AP now haha it's funny. My medical expired yesterday.

I am surprised that the CO has changed, mine was an African American lady. Now it's scary how a CO will be replaced and some people are under AP with previous CO.

Weird because, someone in here said that translators now ask for it before they take your documents. My wife's interview in in 5 weeks so I have some time to figure this out.

The translator told me that apostille is needed and made me confused so i made it.

But they didn't ask for it in the interview.

If the translator said anything just tell him or her that they didn't ask for it so they will just translate your paoers without it.

He didn't ask for anything else. The status now is in AP.

Hey guys,

When i first started gathering the document that are requested for the interview i went to to translate the papers then the translator told me that there is a new law and i need to do the apostille before he starts working on my papers, i said they didn't say anything about that but he said its important and he needs to get them ready before the he starts the translation.

I asked a guy who works in the embassy as a security guard and he said yeah we will need it.

After the interview i found out that they will be needed after getting the visa.

So they are not needed for the interview.

We are so sorry guys, we thought it was so important to have it before as we were told so we saw the need of telling everyone and sharing the info.

It applies to all documents you get in Arabic that need to be translated to English.

If you already interviewed, of course, you wouldn't need it. It went into effect about a 10+ days ago so not a lot of places even in Morocco itself knows because when my fiance went to get his police record, no one mentioned it. His friend asked the police chief in his hometown and he didn't know.

The consulate also do not answer their emails frequently either. I got an interview notice after about 2 months of both of us emailing them almost daily. They don't like picking up the phone and the operator there just shoos you off the phone even if you try to ask her a question.

Our interview is this coming Friday. As a precaution, to all new interviews - you should get this anyway.

In fact, the translator told my fiance he needed these apostilles before she would translate for him the papers we needed. So if you go to a translator - this one was given to my fiance at the medical office by a person who was also going through her visa journey.

I just thought to post this because this happened to my fiance. Up to you if you wish to take the chance or not but this is fairly recent.

The problem is you need to go directly to the province of where you got your papers and have them sign these papers with the originals. This may take time.

My fiance was unsure if it was required for us since we got our interview date on 8/23 and had less than 3 weeks to prepare. However, we prepared everything else already so he had court record, police record, birth certificate etc for translator. She told him this was needed. As did another fellow who was getting medical exam at the doctor's office on same day as my fiance.

Again, we are sharing this as courtesy so others do not get trapped in not having everything required.

I guess my search is wonky or something because I could not find this with the search. It just comes up with coding rather than search results.

I wanted to post about a new rule concerning Moroccan documents we found out went into effect 10 days ago from today.

Procedure:

After getting all the documents required - in our case - singlehood certificate, court record, police record, birth certificate, etc, the Moroccan partner should go to www.apostille.ma and create the form that applies to the ones that should be translated - that the partner has and that are on this website.

These papers should be printed and signed by the person or place that prepared them for you - such as the court, police station or adoul. This certifies that these papers are original and real.

This should be done prior to taking the documents to be translated.

After translation, all of these forms should be taken to embassy for submission at time of visa interview.

We were shocked because no where in our package from the consulate was apostille mentioned. However, during his wait at the medical office, my fiance was told by someone there that you needed this now and that he found out from the court. Then the translator confirmed this to my fiance.

The USA requires this as both USA and Morocco are part of the Hague agreement - Morocco having just signed this last year but only recently implemented it. It was not listed on our interview documentation.

We just got our packet on August 23. Interview date in less than 3 weeks!
