  1. Hello VJ,

Hubby POE was today at Ft. Lauderdale process was easy but had a long wait because 4 flights came in at the same time. Since I was with hubby I entered the Visitor's line. We were called and once hubby handed his package to the Officer we were taken into a room for processing. Took about 10 minutes. We were told to pay for the Green Card online and to give Social Security Office about 3 weeks to receive the SSC. I am off this Friday so we will be going into the office to verify if application was submitted for his social. In all it was a friendly experience. Ticket was only $166.00 for hubby.... I will keep you all posted on the SSC and GC process. God bless.

Thanks for the review sheryl15.very helpful?

  2. when you reach your point of entry you must present them the package, whether it's a direct or connecting flight the poe is wherever you enter the US first. Yes it's gonna take longer than a regular visit because they're going to inspect you per say so if you have a connecting flight make sure the layover isn't too short cause since you're coming from an international flight your gonna have to collect your checked luggage and re-check through security, they're gonna take you to another room or somewhere else to just ask you a few questions etc. if all goes well they'll stamp your passport with the temporary greencard which you'll use until you get the plastic one in the mail. The inspection should take about 30-60 mins normally if everything is in order

  3. You guys are so funny...its like i'm reading a comedy.??So you guys need to form another thread..maybe with the topic:"Post Interview:Waiting for Greencard" or something like that.Cause i heard some ppl on VJ complaining that after they arrive in the US it takes several months for the greencard to arrive in the mail while others say it takes weeks. So i'm wondering if i'm gona have that problem too.

  4. Congrats!!!

When you log into the site, go to check visa status and put in the pertinent information (the case number being one of the things). It will change from Ready to Admin Processesing (everyone goes through that) and Issued.

Once you see the "issued" status you can log into the DHL site that we had to use for registration. When the package has been picked up from them the tracking number will be listed. That's a hyperlink you can click and track the package.

    Hope this make sense.

    Yes it does.thanks much.
