We just got our NOA2!!
Congratulations!!! That is awesome. So the Noa2 keeps coming now
-
Hi January Filers!!! I just checked my USCIS Case Tracker, My Case was Approved on February 18, 2016!!!! I am Super Excited!!! I'm hoping and praying that I'm the first approval of many more to come...
That is awesome news!!! Congratulations!! Let's hope and pray that that one was the start of many more Noa2 approvals
-
Not hard in your case, as long as your sponsor has submitted the deployment orders (not just RFO). And USCIS has a separate military hotline you guys can use to check the case status.
That is good. I don't know all the papers that got sent in when we applyed bc we where using attorneys. But hopefully they will have all the papers that they need
I agree. It's a perfectly valid reason and I'm sure the officer reviewing your case will appreciate your fiance's service, as we all do.
Thank you so much mumbles. Yes it's a good thing that my fiancée is doing. But it will be hard to be away from each other when we have struggled so hard to be together. But soon we can be together forever
I just noticed an error in the NOA1 (I know, I'm the smartest person ever for just now noticing it ) so I actually do have to call USCIS...
Ooh!! What does that mean? Error?
-
I see that as a legitimate request. You deserve to be pushed to the front of the line. Good luck and safe travels. Thanks for your service.
Thank you so much Greenbaum I just hope the officer agrees with you. I don't know how hard it is to be expedited bc of deployment
-
Thanks, I know all about the wait time and how long some people have to wait. I know VJ's estimates are estimates. I've been very patient. I haven't considered calling my congressperson because I'm patient, and it hasn't been nearly long enough... Why did you have to petition twice? Were you rejected the first time?
Oh well then there you go. Looks like they're on it and will accept or reject the request soon enough. Hopefully it gets going quickly! Sorry I don't have anymore answers :/
Thank you so much and I bet you will get good new very soon
-
That's interesting. I imagine they would only expedite a case if there's a really good reason, like if waiting would cause some sort of major issue. When in doubt, google! I got this: "According to the USCIS, cases may be expedited if they involve a serious financial loss, an
extreme emergency, a humanitarian situation, the request comes from a nonprofit organization advancing the cultural or social interests of the United States, it's a matter of national interest or security (the request must be made by a U.S. government official), or a USCIS error or compelling USCIS interest." Is there any chance your fiance or someone you know filed a request to expedite? Maybe call USCIS and make sure there isn't some sort of confusion.
We did file a request to expedite bc my fiancée is deploying in early June so we need to have the visa before that
-
I was looking at my USCIS page and I saw this:
Case history
On February 17, 2016 your request to have your case expedited, referral number **************, was assigned to an officer for response.
Does that mean that they are just seeing if it can be expedited and if, isn't it a bit to late? Or are they working on the whole case?
-
I'm thinking of calling USCIS today to check on my case, since the VJ predicted time has passed by a couple days. I don't expect anything to happen or be pushed along, but I feel like I should check in... Does anyone have the number?
I think it's good that your calling. You have nothing to lose :thumb: I'm hoping that you will have good and happy news Please let us know how it went

Sure! You can read it online at this link!
https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/STK%20-%20Stockholm.pdf
Let me know what the police say, I think you have to go there in person to get the record (there is a record you can apply for online but I think the embassy needs the one done in person at the police station)
Thank you so much. Yes I will tell you tomorrow what they said
-
I have a list of the vaccinations needed by the embassy, and I have my records from the UK. But I'll be going to their office tomorrow and will talk to them to see if I need some of them, or all of them.
The Swedish police record is the only document I don't have yet, but I have my UK one. Although i'm fairly sure I read that documents can be in either Swedish or English, but I'm not 100% sure of that yet.
Ok. I will call the police office tomorrow and ask for my record and ask them if they know.
Would you mind sending me a copy of that list. I would be very grateful.

Yeah I'm back in Sweden now, I was over in the USA for Christmas and New Year and we put together our visa application together while I was there. I've spent the last few weeks getting all the documents that I need for the interview and I'm fortunate that one of the approved medical offices for the visa is here in Gothenburg, so I'll be going there in the next week or two to get all of my vaccinations done before my medical exam.
I do speak passable Swedish at work, but as I'm sure that you know how great you Swedes are at speaking English! Much better than my Swedish is haha.
Haha..I bet your swedish is very good too
Ooh that is awesome. Do you know everything we need for the medical exam? Have you contacted the police office for that part? Do you know if we need that in English or if they are ok with it in swedish?
-
I'm British but have lived in Gothenburg for 5 years, my fiancé is from the USA!
So are you in Sweden now? Do you speak swedish?
My fiancée is also in US
-
TheaVinga we both have the same NOA1 date and are both being processed in Sweden! we might end up having very similar timelines
Hi!!
Yes we do are you or your fiancé/fiancée from Sweden?
-
I think at latest if it goes by how it has been, this week or certainly by the end of next week. There was a public holiday on monday so they will be behind a little bit.
I hope so Yes my case was moved one day. So now it says Feb 20th instead of Feb 19th. But as long as it's only one day then that is ok for me
-
A lot of people are, but it's good to look at other peoples timelines. A lot of people I have seen have waited 49, 50 days until their NOA2. I'm on day 35. Originally it said to expect something around next week (day 42) but I am honestly expecting something in the first week of march realistically.
That is true and I have been looking at others from Sweden and it says that it will take about 45 days. And in my case that is by the end of this week. So I'm hoping and praying.

The ones that are entered in on this website if you go to Immigration Timelines at the top and then click on Ignor's list. Then if you set it to K-1 California service center, detailed and approved petitions only. I scroll to the bottom of the list. 5 January petitions are in there. As for the APP it's the USCIS case status app which I downloaded from google play. I just randomly type in numbers and look for I-129f petitions.
Thank you so much. And thank you for keeping us updated
Right now I'm stressing over the NOA2. That's all I ever think about.
-
Another person has added their details in as a January filer on this site and has an approval. There are now 3 people approved from January 4th. I also found quite a few approved petitions from 5th Jan this morning when browsing the app.
That is awesome!! Where do you see this?
Prayers for NOA2

I initially wanted to move in the beginning of July but I don't think it will be possible as I think it is going to be "too last minute" and I don't want to rush my move. That's why I plan to do it in August. Who knows maybe it will happen in July We'll see!
Maybe I'm to optimistic but I'm hoping for May. I can leave as soon as I get my visa
-
So exciting! My timeline says we might get our NOA2 between Feb. 14 and 16. That
would be an awesome Valentine's Day gift Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!
I'm hoping and praying for that too ? My time line says somewhere between February 17th to 19th.

Congratulations to the Noa2's. I hope all of us is going to get ours soon
Our case is stuck right now in expeditionland. We got a messege telling us that we need to send them more information if they where going to expedite our case. So right now we are waiting for those papers *sighs* A part of me is thinking that maybe we could have had our Noa2 if we hadn't ask for them to expedite our case.
