You need to send a photocopy of the front and back of your greencard with your application for Removal of Conditions... if you don't have a replacement by then you will need to send a copy of the NOA1 for the I-90 form.... so you will need to apply for a replacement....
Also as already stated you are required by law to carry your greencard with you at all times....
Kez
thanks for the reply guys coz i'm thinking to just wait until im about ready to file for my removal conditions 10 yrs. residency. it's expiring in 10 months or so anyway. i had a photocopy of my stolen gc tho but i know it's not much help. im getting ready to file form I-90 to replace it tho for peace of mind. hopefully it wont take that long to process.

my fiance was married three times. on my interview, i only have his latest divorce decree they asked all of them plus my fiance's court records from his case but its already closed.
i've given it to the embassy after a month because the divorce paper from nevada took very long.
i submitted additional docs on October 25, 2006.
embassy released my visa November 22, 2006.
it's on the way! im still waiting for it today or maybe it will be here monday
because i live in the province.
don't worry jamrok you will be fine.
just call them..send them fax..etc.

Certificate of No marriage
they're checking your fiance's name if she's been married before. Certificate of No marriage record.
you should have it given to them during her interview.
normally, it takes a month.
im also on AR for 2 months now and still waiting you bet.

See my post in your other post in the foreign embassy forum. Good luck

both. when they are done preocessing your papers. they will send you a letter with your new manila case number in a couple of weeks.... you can also call them for an update or send them a message thru e-mail..they reply in 4 days or so.
*julie
Annie, what time period did they give you? They told me they(USE) were still reviewing Aug. cases, hope that isn't true.
wind,
i called embassy last wednesday, they told me that they have started reviewing my case already and to just wait for my visa because i might receive my passport with my visa anytime now but she doesnt told me that i am approve already... they told me also that if the visa wont arrive until november 25..a month after i submitted the additional documents i shall call them again and they will make a report to process my papers once. i asked the woman if there's any chance that my visa be denied. she told me the only grounds for visa denial is when you are married to somebody else and you used drugs.
there's no other choice than to wait. next week i'll fax them a letter again and fiance will call once more. can u please give me the number of the immigrant visa unit?
thanks

Packet 4 stuff:
Should the online version of DS-156 https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp form, and the regular written version of that form be both used (2 copies of each)?
How about the DS 157? And which is which?
Are only those two types of forms needed? We want to make sure that she has the forms needed for the interview and medical.
Also and finally, I will be sending my stuff to her already, so that should fill in the rest of the gaps there once she has it in hand. It's taken a while to get the I-134 sorted out.
I hope they don't screw us and say it needs to go into AR for some bogus reason.
as long as you used the same format of DS forms embassy provides in the packet you will be fine. 2 copies of DS 156 and 157. one for the DS 156k.
Goodluck.

Ok visa is on its way according to delbros. Wow only took a month geesh.
CONGRATS...

titakey...congratulations

opps. sorry she got her visa 3rd week of sept and flew oct 7. exactly 6 weeks. visa approval depends on the consul working on it.
Does anyone here know exactly what the consul "works on?" that takes this long? I thought the interview is the last thing? If you're approve they just print the visa no?
hi there bro..wow..it's almost a month already...have you been calling them?
oh i dont know what to do either...i'm also waiting for a miracle...

...Now I have to deal with my montly period falling within this 1st week of Nov...
That's the very reason that my Luv could not go this week. Not to mention (which has been noted before) there has been at least one holiday for the past few weeks and we are also attempting to minimize the necessity for several trips to Manila (medical exam, vaccination, guidance and counceling session, visa interivew, visa pick-up, CFO stamp, plane ticket, and ect). Manila is the one stop shop. It will all work out, but for those who have time, please don't wait or get pigeon holed into last minute heroics.
annie19 - OH HELL NO! As soon as Lorraine finds out you are the beneficiary, you will treated worse than my ancestors did in the slavery days. Do yourself a favor and have your honey call.
oh wow...now that's what we call.......nevermind thanks for that uling...

hi patiently...thanks for that...i am always visiting this thread right now while waiting for my visa because i read a lot of info's.
ULing...i just like to ask if lorraine also entertain calls from beneficiaries...calling their call center line is very expensive..i wonder if i can get some infos by calling that line 2-528-6300

hi Wind glad to hear your case is moving now....but mine still have no updates..i will call them
next week for follow up. goodluck..
Hello Annie
If you dont mind my asking.....what documents were you lacking? Just so others will not make
the same mistake
Hi Jamrok i was put on AR because of my fiance's court case in florida. the consul wants to make sure
my fiance's public charge is not an issue for him to support me in the US. and another thing is that my fiance was married three times already but i only have his latest divorce decree during my interview so the consul told me to submit all 3 of his divorce decree/s. it took a month before my fiance got the papers so i was just able to submit them last week on a wednesday. the guy told me to call them for a follow up after 2 weeks..oh my...im getting paranoid waiting..well today embassy is close for a holiday..im thinking to fax them a letter for a follow up tomorrow..and call them next week every other day

No suggestions?
hi!
Although my visa is different from your fiance, I think we have the same case. I got interviewed last Oct 13 and up until now my visa hasn't been released by the embassy.
I applied for an L2 visa and I was assured by the embassy that I got approved since the consul took my passport. The same as you I emailed, faxed and called the embassy.
They said that they had some technical difficulties at that time and I "think" they were trying to fix the records of the applicants. So those approved visas which were unfortunately *hit* by their system glitch were all in backlog.
hi there. i was on AR and i already submitted the papers they needed to further review my case last october 25.
i want to make a follow up thru fax. can you please tell me where i shall address my concern? t.y

(Aimee): she said I have to pay another 100 dollars to BPI for my son
What is BPI?
Thanx
Gomez
BPI (BANK of the Philippine ISland)
where we pay the $100 visa application fee for interview. (K1)

do you have your interview date already?
other people used to have the medical a week before their interview to save money.
in my case, i took it a month before interview.
you can check these for airfares:
http://www.cebupacificair.com/
And yes, you only need one way ticket for her.
