The EAD you would apply for straight away would only be valid for the 90 days you have to get married. As such even if expedited it would expire 90 days after you entered the country and you would then have to reapply when you get married with you AOS application. Doesn't seem worth while to me.

Just a tip for the above coverage. It does not meet the requirements of Obamacare. This is from their website
Please note that Seven Corners’ Critical Illness Insurance Plan does not meet the definition of “minimum essential coverage” under PPACA. The Reside® programs are not intended to provide U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. with health insurance. While your Reside® plan for worldwide coverage will not be affected by PPACA, you should review the information below to see if you are exempt from the requirements of PPACA or not, and whether you will have to pay a tax penalty or not.
Under PPACA, all U.S. citizens, nationals and resident aliens will be required to purchase minimum essential coverage (PPACA compliant coverage), unless they are exempt. Exempt U.S. citizens include U.S. citizens who reside outside of the U.S. The exemption applies to:
- A U.S. citizen who has a tax home (your main place of work or employment, or if you don’t have a main place of work or employment, your main residence) in a foreign country, and
- has been a bona fide resident of a foreign country or countries for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire taxable year; or
- is present in a foreign country or countries during at least 330 full days in a twelve month period.
- A U.S. citizen who has a tax home (your main place of work or employment, or if you don’t have a main place of work or employment, your main residence) in a foreign country, and

Not sure if it's the same in China, but in Australia you needed an original birth certificate

I'm in the same boat. NOA2 on 12 Feb and rang last Friday and no case number. Seems like it's taking sometime at the moment to get to the NVC!
You can track the progress of your case with the case number from the NVC, but as far as I am aware (at least in Sydney) you don't need the number. The embassy will email you when they receive your file and explain what you need to do next.

It isn't wrong, the I134 is not sent with the I129F, which is what the OP was asking. I'm sure the OP appreciates the correction of what someone posted in error. The incorrect poster will now know the correct info as well. Perhaps be more polite before jumping down someone's throat for helping. Thank you.
If you read my girt post that is what I said. I said it wasn't required at this stage of initial application. I said it was sent when you get to the embassy interview stage. So I was correct. And in many embassy's you do have to send it in before they schedule an interview (packet 3).
There are better was to say you are incorrect than "that's completely wrong". Especially when that's not correct.
Also note that not ever embassy is the same in this regard so each person's experience may differ.

If you check the guides it says to send the documents in.

This is completely wrong. The I 134 is brought to the interview.
Firstly, that's a really rude way to express that opinion. And secondly it isn't wrong, most embassy's get you to email it to them before your interview.
Perhaps be more polite when replying in the future.

There is a guide here for k1 filing. It has all the documents you need. Hit the guides up on the top of the page

That is later in the process. When you get to the consulate interview stage it will be required ? don't stress

I am in the same boat. I emailed the Oklahoma DPS and they said they accept an EAD
How long does it take to hear from the Sydney Embassy and how do they contact you?
in Australia and New Zealand

Hi Kristy
I have gone through the exact same process (check out my timeline).
The Embassy took about 2-3 weeks once I got the notification that the NO2 was approved to conctact me via email. They will send a date for an interview and instructions for booking a medical as well as what documents you need.
Hope this helps!
