  1. hello i just want to ask if anybody here knows or have a format for the letter needed to apply for voluntary acr-I card.i have tried to look online for a sample letter but i cant find one.its one of the requirements on the checklist its called,'Letter request addressed to the Commissioner through the Chief of the Alien Registration Division stating the purpose for the application'.i hope someone can help me cause we will be needing it once we do DCF in Manila.thank you in advance

  2. i think you are mixing up the i-864 requirements, in toto.

the i-864 looks at petitioner's prior years income via tax data and current annual income via review of paystubs and an employer's letter.

if there is no current annual income to report, then an offset of assets can be included. I mentioned 60,000 usd as an example on 2 people, but you are taking it as gospel for a joint-sponser. stop it. I worry your head will spin and explode.

Instead, please study the I-864 and the instructions, that you've printed out, and make copious notes about the rules and math. I feel, if you did this, instead, you'd have pointed questions instead of general ones.

What is troublesome is that 'more info' is revealed by you for each site visit. Why you not 'reveal all' back at post #1 ?

---i apologize if ask a lot.cause right now im thinking about so many things not just the filing of this visa.as what ive said im already stressing out about it thats why i wasn't able to ask all my questions on post #1.i guess its best if me and my baby will take a rest for tonight.but anyways thank you for the information.have a nice day. :content::content::content:

  3. relationship evidence on the I-130? no minimum.

when used as petitioner's asset-only, cash in the bank proof? sorry, cannot use a joint-account at all, must be USCitizen's name only, and for 2 people on the I-864 then it's about 60,000 usd.

please correct me if im wrong so its not a good idea if ill ask my prospective joint sponsor for a bank statement certificate if he doesnt have at least 30,000 usd on the bank?cause what im thinking is it will be better if he(the joint sponsor) can also give some proof that his got savings to make him more eligible as joint sponsor(for I-864)how about my principal sponsor(husband) we definitely dont have that kind of money.thank you.

  4. thinking about the financial requirements is already starting to stress me out.specially right now that both of us are not working.are babies that's about to be born this year(i'm due on august 2016) exempted from the household member counting?how about when it comes to the principal sponsor which is my husband,do you guys think that he will pass that guidelines?(the last time he served was last year of september-but we can provide his W2's from 2012-2015)or if not is there other alternative?thanks

  5. hello he's currently on balikbayan visa.and we'll apply for his acr card by next week cause according to what i read he doesn't need to be a permanent resident here as long as we can provide proof or evidence that hes been living in here at least for 6 months.as for his cousin does it means that i'm already going to be considered as the fourth member of the household?thanks

  6. thank you for the reply.cause our situation is like this,my husband just got out from the military last september 2015 and since then both of us doesnt have a job.what were thinking is to open a local joint bank account as one of proof that he's living here with me within the 6months period required to file for DCF.so were pretty tight when it comes to financial matter right now hoping that one of his cousin who is now married and got a son can help us and become my joint sponsor.and according to what i saw on the poverty guideline is that if the joint sponsor already got 3 people in the household (if the baby also counts)then he needs to earn like more than $25k yearly.if its $60k that will be impossible for us to pass that poverty guideline specially right now.do you think its still a good idea to have a local joint bank account just to prove that hes currently living in here?

  7. Hi I just want to ask if there's an amount required if you're going to present a local joint bank account (of the US citizen and the one that's being petitioned).and about that bank statement certificate, will it include how much money do you have on that particular bank or it will just basically say that you have a joint account on their bank?thank you :goofy:

  8. hi guys,

i just want to ask again regarding DCF.Cause as what i read on the DCF requirements the foreign spouse should be residing here in the phils.for atleast 6 months.were planning to start my visa application by march since he arrived here last september.we got married by october and had our honeymoon is HK for 3 days last november.the question is,will his stay from september 2015 until before we go for our 3 day vacation in HK will still be counted?thank you.

  9. Hello everyone,

i just want to ask some questions regarding CR-1 visa.My husband and I just married 3 months ago here in the Philippines cause our first plan is for him to get his college degree here before going back to the US or to other country to work and live in there. But we found out that we wont be able to avail his GI bill benefits here like for example the housing loan here in the Philippines so our only option is to go back in the US.hes been here since last September and right now were just depending on his savings for our financial needs and of course we know that well gonna be running out of money pretty soon.So i just want to ask if what do you think is better?is it better to start the processing of visa now and send it on the lockbox in the US or wait until March 2016(his 6th mos of residency) so that we can have DCF here in Manila? And is it true that they'll process the papers faster if your spouse is in the military?thanks :content:
