  1. Hi guys, im a bit confused about this one, im about to send the I-751 to remove conditions of residence(to get the 10 year green card)for my wife but i dont know if im supose to send a separate one for my step daugther, they were both peticion at the same time, my wife k1 and my step daugther k2, they both had their green cards for almost 2 years now, so i dont know if i should send 2 I-751's or just one and include her in part 5 as a child, she is turning 17 this month, i guess as long as shes not 18 its ok?

please let me know guys i need to send this in as soon as posible, thanks to Visajourney and everyone for helping me getting to this point.

  2. My wife wants to work and we did not filed for a work permit when we did the adjustment of status,we have gone thru the interview an all, the interview was quik and easy but they told us the FBI name check still has not come in, well it has been 6 monts since and she wants to work, can we still send the work permit now? also we just moved a few days ago to a bigger place since shes got a dougther, we moved since we had allready had the interview and the leased was up, is it a big problem that we moved? please guys help me out on this, shes been aking me that she wants to work since she has not for the year she has been in the us,thanks guys.

  3. this sucks, 2 years, so how is she supose to do all the things she wants like driving and getting a job, shes tired of been home, i bet you her background check is taking a lot of time because shes from nicaragua and now they have that dummy daniel ortega as president wich happens to be buddys with that other dummy in venezuela hugo chavez.......................just our luck, the funny thing is that i was triying to get them out before he became president cause she and her family are against the red party and they were allready be given treats since they did not vote for daniel ortega, man i hope they dont make us wait for years and years  , thanks for the link now i know whats going on.
  4. Hi guys , I'v been away for some time, my wife and her,our dougther have been living with me for almost a year, we all ready did all the stuff(photos, interview) the interview was really short, the guy asked us some questions about everything and at the end he just said i can see you guys are a real couple so thats it, congratulations, and i was like  thats it, I even asked him and he said yes,he checked his computer and the little girls background had clear but not my wifes but said that was not a problem he said in 90 days we should be receiving the green cards,he also give us 2 pcs of paper that said that if we dont get the green cards afther 120 days contact the office or make an apointment, well that was on 8-7-2007 and 120 days plus have gone by, is this normal, my wife has no criminal record at all,in california if you dont have a green card you cant do anything, no job, no driving , no ID well nothing, i made an apointment and we are going on friday the 11th, hopefully all is ok.

  5. Guys I have a big problem I think, I decided to send the payment for the change of status with a money order, the problem was that the person that gave me the money order made it for 3 bucks more that the amount that i was supose to send,Im worry this is going to make them send everything back and then its going to be late to send the money again, my wife its worry that she may have to go back again if they send everything back, I checked to see if the money orders were allready cashed and they are not, We sent everything with confirmation receipt so i know they got all our stuff on the 8th according to the confirmation by the usps, :( Im really worried that something this small could make my better half leave my side, thanks guys.

  6. Well the interview at the managua enbassy went really well, my girl told me they were very nice to her, she was thinking she was going to be interogated like in the movies :P about how she got to know me and about our relationship, but it only took 2 hrs and most of that time she was sitting wating, the actual interview was something like 10 min she says and just a few questions and nothing mayor, maybe is because we over did the info and proof, lots of pics, plane tickets, receipts(like engagement ring),my passport pics, original birth certificate,5 years of tax forms, and lots and lots of emails and chat printouts, wich its funny cause she said that they were too many of them and when she was asked for proof she only gave them 2 of our emails and the lady at the embassy said "thats it only 2" then my girl took out the rest, 87 to be exact :P and the lady was like  wich she says was really funny and then she smiled and said "ok your visa has been aproved!!" and my girl was like  and more  and when she told me i was more than happy but had to contain my self cause i was at work, but afther that i was dancing too :D. well i have to say that this site has helped us a lot, from begining to end, I thank you guys for all the help provided to me by this site and your comments, thank you all, shes coming afther new years since she wants to stay with her mom for the holidays, thank you.:dance::dance::dance::D:thumbs:

Good luck to all of you and god bless.

  7. Just a question,as some of you know my girl got her interview date on the 19th(managua,nicaragua),she tells me that the embassy papers/instrucions are asking for all the usual stuff like the I-134 and sd 156 wich we have all done and got all proof etc,but she says they seem to be asking for the form I-864ez, is this normal, does it have something to do with her daughter, shes a minor(13yo) and I did mention her since the begining(on the I-129f and I-134) well i dont really know,I just want her interview to go as smooth as posible cause shes allready nervous about it as it is :( ,thanks guys :) .

  8. I was wondering about that myself.

OP, you may want to double check that with your Fiance.

There are currently 2 timelines in the database for K1 in Nicaragua with NOA2 date after Jun 01 with interview dates. the average time to interview from NOA2 is 68 days for the 2 most current timelines. If you subtract a week for NOA2 to NVC and another couple weeks NVC to consulate, it is less than 2 months to interview from the time the consulate in Managua gets the approved petition.

Which goes back to my point of how can he get an interview 3 days after the embassy received the case? even the fastest embassies wouldn't do that.

Ok I will, she may be reading it wrong or something, I wish i was there,so the date she was given is just a date that she has to have all the doctor stuff done by,if so why are they saying to pay 100 bucks at bankcentro and to take the receipt of it that day? I dont know anymore :( ,but any way if it takes a bit longer it is still going pretty pretty fast :)

  9. how can i send this stuff if they dont have zip codes, house numbers or street names for that matter, shes from nandaime wich is part of the granada district, thanks guys :D

I find in places where people dont have address's (house numbers and street names) that usually you just send it there and it arrives at the post office and people just go there and look thru the mail and take whatever is theres. Lots of problems though with mail theft as nosy people like to take other peoples mail just to see what is in it. But i believe most stuff gets thru...Just dont send any big parcels....plain envelopes only so nobody get "curious" Just call your fiancee and let her know its coming so she will look for it.

Thanks, the problem its that im sending my birth certificate(original) and for one i dont want anyone to steal this and plus regular mail takes too long and she needs this by october 19th,wich i know its a long time for us americans but for the slow snail delivery system they have there who knows when shes getting it, and thats if she gets it at all

  10. Ok my bad :D to tell you the truth i dont understand none of the packet 3 or 4 all i know its that she got the consulates package with all this stuff in it(packet 3/4??) wich gives her directions of doctors they specify to go to for the medical exams, they also say how much she is going to get charge for each service wich its mainly vaccines and xrays, they also ask to bring proof that she has paid 100 dls to some bank and to bring that proof the day of the interview wich is the 19th of october, plus some other stuf they need like my birth cirtificate, pictures of us togueter etc, so to me this means theres no more packets afther this, cause as far as i can understand if all this goes ok then she should have her visa the same day or next day.

  11. Ok as some of you know my girlfriend got the packet from the embassyyesterday, shes telling me that they need me to send to her: my birth certificate(original??),passport photos, criminal record?? proof that im single??photos of me and her,and 100 bucks the day of apointment and the total for the doctor stuff is 230 bucks, do any of you guys know if this is correct,do she need all this stuff, why do they want my criminal record,i dont have one but still!! Ill apreciate any input from someone that has done this for a nicaragua petition, also how can you send stuff to nicaragua, all i can find its places that send cargo, how can i send this stuff if they dont have zip codes, house numbers or street names for that matter, shes from nandaime wich is part of the granada district, thanks guys :D

  12. I was also wondering how you have your interview date filled in for October already on your timeline?

Did you sign up for email notification?

Well, in our case, Joel had to send back Packet 3 before he got an interview date. Joel was signed up for email notification but the interview date was never sent to him in an email...it was by mail, when he received Packet 4. Not sure how this person can already have an interview date if P3 hasn't been returned yet. But hey...this is just my thoughts.

Yeah, very fishy. How could the consulate receive the petition Wed & already have given him a date by Saturday????

Well im not there, this is what my girl told me, I have no reason to doubt her,I dont want to defend how good everything its going for us every time I post,Im sorry our visa its going to fast for some of you,and for the rest thanks for the support, wont post no more but I will fill the time line thing, thanks.

  13. You know guys, im going to start to go to church more cause god its giving us a big hand on all this, cause i started all of this on july 7th,so its going to be four months only, maybe it also has to do that the attorney that filled this for me works for the church and i paid/donated 550 bucks to the "Catholic Charities", its all i can think of cause im not rich nor political or famous  i guess im just a lucky guy...and im not irish. :D

  14. Haha, very funny. This IS a joke, right?

No not a joke, but it gets better, today my girl called me to tell me the embassy sent the packet allready :o i was with my sister when she called and i was  how can this be possible, she has been given the 19 of october for the interview,so by then she has to have all kinds of doctor stuff done wich she hates, but oh well,so if everything goes well she could be here anytime afther the 19th of october  ,nice,i hope the person that thinks this is a joke its not serious  .cause its not cheers :D

  15. Ok guys sorry about the time line thing, but its done now, hopefully i did it right,by the way the letter that the nvc sent said that our visa stuff was going to get there (nicaragua) around the 11th and that afther that i could contact the embassy to find out the status of her packet and interview date.ts is amazing, cause how do you go from someone telling you 8 months to what it looks like 4 or 5 mo. max  im happy beyond words :D ,thanks guys and i hope this is a sign that you guys are also not to have to wait so long, the best of luck to all of you.

  16. its still going to take a while before ur SO will have the visa in hands.

the packet u are talking about is packet 3 right?

good luck on ur journey (F)

Thanks guys :D yes i think the CSC did great  im so happy  ,and yes i guess its packet 3,according to the embassy info about nicaragua says it takes about 2 to 3 months for them to give you a apointment/interview but a friend of mine says it only takes max 4 weeks, well anyway,we are doing very, very good,I pray to god he lets me be with her this christmas or new years I hope, thanks everyone.

  17. Well as some of you know i made a petition(I-129f) for my fiance, shes from nicaragua,I ask the person that did our paperwork how long this was going to take and she told me that it was usually 6 months but that i should look forward to 8 months or longer :crying: .I said ok and told the bad news to my fiance, but anyway just to be togueter any wait was worth while, but then to my surpriseat the end of july i recived a letter from the california center saying that my petition was approved :hehe: thats not even 30 days since i sent the check and everything on july the 7th,the letter said that now the were going to send it to the state departments national visa center wich i think is very fast, then today 30 days letter i get another letter, this time from the national visa center saying that they have approved the petition and that now is was going to nicaragua and that she will be getting some kind of packet  is it just me or the gods are smiling at me :D and if it is happening soon do i have to be there for her interview, i ask cause i just came back from nicaragua and work wont let me go again this year,i apreciate any input you guys can give me on this, thank you.

  18. Hi guys, im glad theres a place like this were i can tell someone whats going on, and maybe even ask for advise about something im not sure of, I live in the bay area here in california, my fiance is from nicaragua, and we hope this is not going to take the 8 months they said it will probably take  .

I have just one question, in my last trip(and only trip) i failed to take photos of us togueter, i have lost of photos of her,her family, pets, wild animals but not a single one of me with anybody just them, I know! what a blunder :( its just that im so used to be behind the lens, well any way im going back on august and im going to use a whole roll(yes i still use film) for us and her family this time with me in it.

Another thing a want to comment is that my fiance was married for a short time about 2 years ago, they got married at home, she told me this like 3 days afther we started talking wich was about 10 months ago, well to make a long story short this is what happened, she told me she never took the marriage papers to the city hall? in her town and that means she was never registered as been married wich to me does not make any sense, i told the person preparing my k1 that I was never married and that she was never married, now afther talking to my fiance she said that she may still be married afther all according to her lawyer brother in law,so tomorrow she is going to go to city hall(in nicaragua) to find out, so is this going to look bad when i go back in and tell the lady that afther all she was married before, is she going to think that something funny its going on? :( well anyway thanks.
