5/25(Interview): Ready Immigrant

5/31: Ready NONIMMIGRANT

6/2: AP

I think it will change to "Issued" after AP within few days but I also read one couple who waited 1-2 months after AP so you never know

In February/March this year, I (petitioner) decided to be proactive and get all the documents necessary for the Affadavit of Support form (letters from my bank stating the amount deposited, active since, etc). I didn't actually sign the form until this month. Our interview is June 22nd.

Do I need to get updated documents?

My fiance did the same thing. He decided to get everything updated when he sent his evidence of support just in case.

You are correct. Bring both and they will take the copy. I had to make a copy there and paid 2 dollars

Congratulations!!! I've already started AOS Paperwork since wedding is June 18... Make sure your fiancé'S all have a birth certificate to bring with them! The embassy took his and he needs one for AOS and now my suegra has to send to us....

Just got back from an interview. We're approved. Thank you so much. Would have not been able to do it without this awesome site filled with awesome members.

We received packet 4 on april 19th. Its just a letter telling us we are ready to book a medical and interview date. There was a may 10th date available for an interview date but we choose may 25th instead. So i would say there's a one month window from packet 4 and interview date.

It took them 3 days after we emailed them our packet 3 for them to email us our packet 4.

Did u guys have all your information when u filled out the questions? Im missing my birth weight, doctors name and the address my parents was residing at the time of my birth. Was wondering how long the delay will be?

We need to order our long form. Anybody knows the delay time if we dont have info on who the doctor was or the address my parents was at when i was born? When filling it out they said there could be a delay. Need it by next month :/ interview is on may 28th

This is very confusing. When checking ceac site it says our case is ready for us to schedule an interview date. But we just emailed packet 3 and haven't received packet 4 yet. So is it a new procedure in montreal to schedule your interview date first and wait for packet 4 later?

I read that people get packet 4 emailed to them right away. Maybe check your spam email box?

Make sure they use your full name. They only used my fiancee frist and last name. She had to go back and pay for another one.

I was issued a 341 money order when i payed for a 340 one. I didn't catch the mistake the clerk made. Sent it in and it took them 30 days to mail it back because of incorrect fee. So we lost a month of progress

Yes. Just go to any police department office. My fiancee said theres a visa option u check for the reason you're requesting one. She got both just in case. The regular background one and the finger print one

Do we have to wait for packet 3 to be sent to us? Is there anyway we can check to see if montreal has our case and that they already sent packet 3 so we can download packet 3 and fill it out before we receive it in the mail? Would nvc have those answer for us? Thanks again guys.

Thanks guys. Everything is more clearer now. One more question. In the old guide. It says to call dos department of state to inquire about our petition. Is Dos the same as the montreal embassy?
