  1. Hey guys thanks for best wishes! Visa approved ????????????. Interview went so smooth. I got the 2nd number token and my interview was also the 2nd one. They asked me the name of my in laws and where they live, about my husband's job, his date of birth and wedding pics and after all this he said that your visa is approved. I asked him twice and even asked the guard while leaving ? Now my status is being shown 'issued' and he said that i will be getting my passport in 10 days. So when should i expect to get it back?

  2. Everyone needs to remember just like you are preparing for an interview so is the embassy. A CO is assigned they do their homework their prep and have their questions

Every time they touch your casefile i an update. Nothing to be concerned about unless you have something to be concerned about. Ya know. :goofy:

    thanks alot ?

Good question and great answer!! That's how we learn.

Not like My CC was xx, when is my interview?

    ?
  3. Congrats! My wife is also in the process of setting up her appointment. I have a few questions on the medical exam, to prepare my wife's expectations. I read a few things in the FAQs section of NVC's website:

    http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare/medical-exam-faqs.html

The very last bit made us a bit uncomfortable...and it's also very personal so I'm not sure if anyone has gone into detail on VJ to mention step by step what was done in the exam. I'm clear on the main items: x-ray, ENT, blood, urine (I didn't even see any reference to urine) but that last bit I found to be highly unusual (since I've gone through a medical exam before, as part of my immigration to the US many years ago, and that part was DEFINITELY not examined!

I went through this medical test when I applied for the K1 visa. It was quite uncomfortable but a female did mine so it was ok.
  4. I am also waiting for interview date, CC was on 12/30, got a checklist on 12/31 to bring new original signed AOS on interview day, and then received an email on 01/06 for confirmation of CC.

Awaiting for interview date, i spoke to representative at NVC yesterday, she said that she already have seen some interview scheduled for Feburary but she dont know that if Islamabad embassy already have a schedule for feb, she said usually at the end of the months all the embassies gives available time slots for itnerview for the next month and some of the embassies already have one but she didnt confirmed me for Islamabad, but she said all of the embassies are very busy at this moment. if i dont picked up for the interview this time then i will have to wait until next schedule to be picked. :(

My case complete date is 27th October. We requested for expedite which was denied on the 7th of dec . We're tired of calling nvc and never even did we get such long detailed response from them like you got. And they dont speak about either they have scheduled for Feburary or not.
