TravelThis letter states that the Alien Fiance from the UK am not to make any travel plans until the visa is granted, are there any consequences that might be met in having my fiance visit me in the US while this process is still ongoing? Will there be a stamp against her visiting on her passport, would she not be granted entry on flying out?Health ConcernsConcerns with gathering all the right documents in preparation for the Embassy Interview. Health wise my fiance has has a history in relation to anxiety and depression, currently she is no longer on any medication and have been for several months now. Does she need to have a letter from her GP stating that 'I am not a threat to anyone or myself'? I've read on many of the posts here that this is something people have asked their doctors to write when they have had difficulties in the mental health side of things. Is this a vital letter that I must take with me to the Embassy medical examination and interview? she has have spoken with her doctor and she highlighted that handing over this letter might present a flag to them as it shows past difficulties I've had with mental health in the past.Vaccinations and Immunization records. My fiance has a complete record of her immunization records from her doctor, should she have a stamp of some sort or note specifically from the doctors to go along with these? As currently its just a piece of paper with a list of all vaccinations had and the dates they were given, with no cover letter or identification that this has been given to me from my doctors surgery. She is currently working with a private clinic (scotland UK) to have the remaining vaccinations done that are listed on the medical examination document found on Visa Journey being:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza Type B (HIBS)
-
Mumps
-
Measles
-
Rubella
-
Polio
-
Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
-
Pertussis
-
Haemophilus
- Meningococcal
- Pneumococcal
- Varicella
Given her immunization records, they only require a few boosters and few shots. Are there any additional vaccinations not listed here that she may need to ask for? As I believe there is additional vaccination required at the Adjustment of Status stage and I would like to have all vaccinations taken care of at this stage going forward with one less thing to worry about.
- Hepatitis A

Congrats on making it this far!
You send the I134 and supporting docs to your fiancé, and she brings it to her interview. London embassy prefers a letter from your employer stating yearly salary.
You will receive further instructions from the embassy, but briefly you fiancée will need to:
- Book and attend medical
- Fill DS160 application for visa
- Pay visa fee (265 USD)
- Gather documents to bring to the interview, including her birth certificate, recent police record, the financial documents you send her and evidence of ongoing relationship between the two of you
The London embassy is an easy one - good luck :-)
Doesn't the medical have costs? I've heard people talking about getting shots and everything done BEFORE the interview in order to save time/money. Is that true? If she has no Police record do we still get one? Also with starting a job this soon and not being able to provide pay stubs by the time she interviews will that suffice?
Thank you again for the reply! This is great information

Hello!
I've posted this on the visajourney FB page and was directed here to post! So I hope someone here can shed some light on some questions I have:
"Hello everyone!
Here is some quick information:
K1 Visa
UK (Scotland) -> US (I'm the petitioner)
I-129F Packet sent Jan 13th
NOA2 Received April 5thQuestion on I-134
So even following the visajourney website guide I'm having a little anxiety on what to do next. I've been unemployed from Oct-April (It's been super tough out there) and I recently got a job as of 2 days ago. Before that I did some contract work for a delivery service from Feb-April.
So what exactly do I submit and where do I submit this to? To the NVC? To the embassy? Do I send this information to my fiance?
From what I understood it's bank statements (of 2 years I think), taxes (2014 and 2015 be enough?), first paycheck I won't get until May 13th. I do have my offer letter I can submit. I get paid $13/hour (all I could find in this market) so hopefully that is enough over the poverty amount to be accepted. All my fiance has to do at this point is schedule the medical and interview correct? Once the NVC has processed our case of course.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate all your input!"
Also any tips you could recommend for my Fiance when dealing with the embassy in London?

Hello everyone,
Today I checked the mail and I finally got my letter for request for more evidence and I need help understanding what exactly they want. Me and my fiance met each other on a blogging website called Tumblr.com back in 2011. To which we no longer have our accounts since we deleted them years ago.
Here is a little about my K1 journey:
Petitioner- M24 Godzilla1954 US-AZ (no prev. marriages or children)
Beneficiary- F24 Scotland UK (no prev. marriages or children)
Started (sent in paperwork)- Jan 19th 2016
Here is what the letter says:
"You stated that you met the beneficiary through tumblr.com. This website may be considered to be an International Marriage Broker as it is a business that charges fees for providing dating, matrimonial, matchmaking services, or social referrals between United States citizens and foreign nationals. Therefore, you are required submit a copy of the signed written consent form that the International Marriage Broker obtained from the beneficiary, "my fiance", authorizing the release of her personal contact information to you."
So tumblr isn't a dating site. I mean you can meet people on there but it's more of a blogging site if anything. So are they just asking for a simple:
I, godzilla's fiance give my authorization to godzilla to give all my personal contact information to you"
or something along those lines?
I'm super confused to what they want.
Thank you for your help!

Hi there:
While you are with your fiancé, you could look over the process and read the guides together. She could even help to fill out some of the paperwork, which you could finish up and then mail when you return home.
When you say 'tourist visa', do you mean that she has actually managed to obtain a tourist visa or is she just coming to visit you by using the visa waiver program, which allows you to stay for up to 90 days?
Do you intend to file for a K-1 fiancé visa and marry in the USA after it has been approved? If so, then you absolutely do not obtain a marriage license until you go to marry her. K-1's are for fiancés to enter the country to marry, not for those who have been already married.
There is no need for her to go to a medical. The government will inform her when it is time to obtain a medical. This medical must be completed in London at Knightsbridge. She will need to journey to London on two occasions: once for the medical and once for the interview. She'll also have some paperwork to complete on her side and fees to pay.
To start you will send a check in the amount of $340 with your completed application and other required documents. I'd suggest reading this guide carefully, it will describe everything you want to know. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide
For the application, it will be asking that you prove you have met within the past two years. You being in the UK now is part of that proof. Copy of your passport stamps or boarding passes, copies of any receipts showing that you two were in the same location at the same time, photographs of you two together at certain landmarks or locations (did you have a receipt showing a table for two or movie tickets? a bank statement showing a withdraw from an ATM in her location etc). The proofs we sent were exactly like that. It is typically not needed to send additional relationship evidence for cases regarding a UK beneficiary, however we did choose to also include some such as a copy of the ring receipt and copies of cards from friends and family regarding the engagement. Some people even choose to include more, but this is rather overkill.

Hello everyone,
I just made an account on here because I need some help with this whole process and I see a lot of people active on here so I hope I can get a response sooner the better. I've read the guides, watched peoples journeys on YouTube and done extensive research and I feel super overwhelmed.
So here is the current situation...
I live in Tempe AZ and she lives in Edinburgh Scotland.
I flown out to the UK Dec 10th to propose to the girl of my dreams. Thankfully she said yes and now we want to get this process done as soon as possible (we've waited 3 years just so we are in better positions in life). I'm here until Jan 9th 2016. She will be coming out to AZ (on a tourist visa) Jan 30th-Mar 30th.
Here are the questions I have:
- What should we accomplish while we are both here in Scotland?
- Should she get a full medical examination before she comes to AZ? What should she get covered?
- Can I send the paper work in AZ or do I mail it to TX?
- Do I send a personal check or a money order? I send this with all the forums, proof, etc?
- Do we get our marriage license before or after we file?
- What documentation should she bring with her back to AZ?
- With proof of legitimacy of our relationship does it have to be a consistent 2 years or can it just show we've been in contact for more than 2 years? We have boarding passes from 3 years ago showing she visited me.
- How much proof do we actually need (quantified)?
- Should I start the paper work when I get back to AZ or when she gets there?
If anyone has any tips or guides to make this as simple and clear for me as possible that would be incredible.
All I want to do is make this as smooth, fast and stress free as possible for the both us.
Thank you so much for those who take the time to read this and respond. Your help honestly means the world to me.
Mikey
Embassy got our application! But I still have some questions...

Thanks for the response Nick! It's always appreciated and helps tremendously! Have you ever heard of people getting stopped at the border when visiting their SO while waiting for their Visa to process? I wouldn't imagine this happens often almost zero or if you had a very specific reason to be stopped.
