I had my interview in the consulate of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) March 8th. March 14th send documents to the consulate, march 15th from administrative processing to ready for the interview, march 16th ready (case open) and case creation date changes. And today march 19th last update. Today is Saturday, does the embassy of Rio works on Saturday? I want to have some explanation about this update, please.

I am feeling bad now. Because I missed my interview date January 12th. I write the consulate section and they say that my letter has been forwarded to a consulate. Someone can tell me if it will take time to send me a new appointment date? Thank you!!!!!!

To fill the I-129 Form you will need someone (attorney) just to guide you with the documents you will send to the USCIS. You can see the form on google (PDF). If you feel you can fill it,do it yourself.

I have the same problem, I am confuse and don´t know what to do. The last update of my case was 30 October, 17 december I wrote them just to know what is going on because I received any sign of the embassy. They answer to my mail 21 december and ask me to fill the DS-160 and after create an account at the schedeling site to book my own interview date. I try very very hard until now I cann´t schedule the appointment. At the scheduling site is writing ^this case number is not ready for an appointment. Is writing ^READY^ at the CEAC site.

In the letter I received from the consulate. they write the steps of the scheduling process:

1- Fill out the DS-160;

2- 2- Created your account at the scheduling site;

3- 3- Choose your preferred delivery option for receiving the visa if your application is approved and enter your address if you choose home delivery. If you wish, you may choose to pick up your visa at one of the Applicant Service Center (ASC) offices;

4- 4- Pay the required MRV fee;

5- 5- Schedule an appointment for your interview at the Consulate in Rio de Janeiro;

6- 6- Print your confirmation page and bring it to the Consulate on the day of your interview

I fill the form and print the confirmation form, I create the account when I enter my case number they say my case number is not ready for an appointment. I don´t know what to do. Please, help me.

The consulate of Rio de Janeiro answer me today. They send the e-mail including all the domcuments I have to bring to the interview. I am verry happy. Good night. God bless you all.

I am very glad to join you at visa journey. I always visit the site but today I decide to register because I want your help. I live in Brazil, my case was approuved in september 23. I have the NVC case number. The last time I called them they say my case is in Rio de Janeiro. The last up date of my case was 30th October. I send an e-mail to the consulate of Rio de Janeiro since 17 december they don´t answer me yet. I would like to know what to do. My us citizen already plan all about our wedding because my case will expire in 22th january 2016. Please, advise me. I need your help.
