  1. Hi Guys!

I had to return my green card three weeks ago because they posted a wrong date. Since I'm traveling soon I made an appointment at INFOPASS to get a stamp on my passport to travel more calm. The day I went (October 31st) the officer said he needed me to do the Biometrics first..he gave me an appointment for the same day and told me to come right back once I had It done.

I did my biometrics and went back to him and he did stamp my passport for 6 months. HOWEVER, today I got a card from USCIS saying I have another biometrics appointment. I got it November 3rd and the appointment was for Oct 31st in Rhode Island...and I live in Massachusetts.

I'm very confused I tried to call but I can't talk to a representative.

First, this appointment was the 31st and I got it today.

Second, I did get my second biometrics the 31st in Boston.

Third, do I have to do it again?

    PLEASE HELP ME

  2. Yes I did write C9 :)

    tHANKS!

I could not attach photo but basically it says this:

    Gentleman/Madam:

Please find enclosed I-765 Application for Employment Document after receiving a Rejection Notice. I sent my applications for I-485 Adjustment of Status, I-765 for Employment Authorization, and I-131 for Travel Document altogether on June 10th, 2016 paying the total fee of US$1,070.00. The check was successfully cashed on June 24th, 2016. My Case Number for Adjustment of Status is MSC1XXX and for Advance Parole is MSC169XXX.

My eligibility is based on admission as the fiancé of a U.S. citizen and subsequent marriage to that citizen within 90 days of entry.

    Included in the documentation are:

I-765: Application for Employment Authorization Document / Work Permit (EAD)

    • Form I-765
    • G-1145 e-notification of application/petition acceptance
    • 2 Passport-style photos
    • Copy of Passport, including biographic page, stamps and K1 Visa
    • Copy of Form I-94
    • Copy of Form I-797C Notice of Action of I-129F Fiancée Petition (NOA 1 / Receipt Notice)
    • Copy of Form I-797 Notice of Action of I-129F Fiancée Petition (NOA 2 / Approval Notice)
    • Copy of Form I-797C Notice of Action of I-131 Application for Travel Document (NOA 1 / Receipt Notice)
    • Copy of Form I-797 Notice of Action of I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status (NOA 1 /Receipt Notice)
    • Certified copy of Certificate of Marriage
    • Copy of Wedding Photos

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I understand that I may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at a later date.

Thank you for your kind attention to this application.

  3. Hi guys,

My EAD was rejected because I forgot to sign the application :(...it also states the payment amount is incorrect but I send AP, AOS, and EAD altogether with a 1070 check.

I will send the application again and this time with more evidence and explaining I had already paid for the three of them, what do you guys think of my cover letter?

    Thanks in advance

  4. Hi,

Today I received bad news...after succesfully receving the NOA1s for AOS AND AP last Friday I got a REJECTION NOTICE for EAD...:(

    In the paper it says:

The payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided. PLease resubmit appropiate fees with application/petition package.

You must sign your application in the signaure block if ou are 14 years of age or older. (I admit I did not sign this form)

However, I did apply for the three of them at the same time so it was a total og 1070.00 or all of them...DO I need to pay the extra fee now? Why do they say I paid badly?

What should I do? ANyone had a similar situation? Do I pay or no?

  5. The fee is correct--when you submit all three applications together the standard fee (at this time) is 1,070 as the I-485 is 985 and the biometrics fee is 85. You did send the I-485, EAD, and AP all in one envelope I'm assuming? Otherwise their reasoning, on that point, is incorrect.

Unfortunately not signing an application is a reason for automatic rejection on the singular form, but shouldn't outright reject the other two from my understanding unless it's the I-485 you didn't sign. Which form didn't you sign?

P-ana though I believe may be right, but I would double check. I don't think you would need to pay again as they have accepted and cashed your first payment. Just attach the notice you received from USCIS with the new application and that should be sufficient.

    Thank you.

The form I did not sign was the I-765....

Im scared that if I send this package again with no check they will say I did not pay again...but they sent them all together at the same time....:(

  6. Hi guys,

Unfortunately today we received a REJECTION NOTICE for the I-765 EAD. It states that the payment amount is incorrect or has not been provided..However, I applied for the three things at that same time so from what I researched we only had to pay US$1070.00

I also noticed I did not sign for this application

I'll fix it now, this means I have to pay the extra fee now?

    Please help, I'm so sad.

  7. Hi guys,

Has this happened to any of you? What should I do? It is normal?

  8. Hello everyone!

Just joined the group :) Hope we all get our documents soon.

I do have two questions, hope someone can help me out.

    1. I notice many of you applied for SSN AND ID, can I also do that if I entered with a K1 visa and am currently adjusting status or I have to wait?

    2. On Monday I received text messages and emails stating my case was received (NOA1), However, I got 4 messages..and I only sent 3 forms (AOS, AP, EAD) but the weirdest part is that I received the same case number twice, meaning I only got 3 case numbers. Is this normal?

    Thanks in advance :)

  9. HELLO AGAIN,

Firstly, thank you all for the support.

I do have a question regarding the FORM I-693, If I took the medical exam two months ago in Nicaragua and brought back the xray cd and also a paper of my injections do I still need to fill in this form, take additional medical exams or what exactly now that I am about to adjust status and need to fill in these forms.

    THANKSS

  10. EAD/AP typically take 90 days after you file.

AOS approval can vary from a couple of months to a year.

My wife recently filed for AOS from K-1 in February and already has been approved and green card in the mail.

    Great to know!

Thanks, happy for both of you. Hope it's that fast for us too.

That should be more than enough time to process the AOS,EAD, and advance parole just make sure you file them all together at the same time and I don't think theres a way to make the process faster as long as u provide all the docs and filled up the all the forms correctly you should be good. This site will help you provide all the docs needed hope it helps! Good luck!! (L)

    Great to know!

    Thank you so much, blessings!

YAAAAAAY! Congratulations on your approval! I'll tell ya that the AOS is pretty straight forward. The junkiest part is the waiting....as usual

Bring your birth certificate (2 or even 3 copies) from the Registro Central in Managua for the AOS as well as for your personal records. It will be useful to have for other things besides immigration. Get like 10 passport photos down there too (since it's cheaper) to send along when you file the AOS, EAD, AP stuffs.

Don't need a police record. Those are only good for 6 months anyway.

File that stuff asap and you'll be able to go back to Nic in January for sure!

    you are the best!

    BLESSINGS!

  11. Hello everyone!

I'm super happy to say that my visa was approved last Monday :) However, I'm extremely worried about the Adjustment of Status.

    This is the thing:

I'm flying to Boston on May 16 and we are getting legally married on May 21st. We plan to adjust status ASAP because we are planning a religious wedding on January 14th in Nicaragua, I'm hoping that by this time I have my work permit and advance parole. How long does it usually take to receive this? Anyone from Massachusetts? What documents should I bring from my country to make the process faster (ex: Police Record).

I'm super stressed because some of my fiancé's friends have already bought tickets to come in January 2017 ... I need some positive vibes!!!! I'm trying to be positive that I can travel by January 2017 to get married in my country.

What do you guys think? Please advise and if anyone is from Massachusetts it would be great to know how long it took for your cases ?

    Gracias :)

  12. GUYSSSS

I know this might be a dumb question. I'm trying to fill in my timeline but im so confused with this info:

Where do I gather this information/dates from? We never received any texts only some emails and notifications to my fiancés mailbox. First that our case was received with a number, the NOA2 saying it was approved and sent to the NVC and that we would be receiving a notification and finally we got one saying the NVC received our approved petition and they will transfer it now to th US embassy consulate. However, which dates go where? Im so confused.

    PLEASE HELP, IM going crazy

The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will contact you when your petition has arrived at post so that you may schedule your appointment. If you have questions, you may e-mailLagosIV@state.gov. [Click to open "Interview Preparatory Packet (K1, K3)"PDF 539KB] Also, please review the pamphlet “Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.” (PDF 53KB)
