  1. The immigrant fee..you should have a instruction once he receives his passport, I think it was like $140. Pay it now, so your husband get the green card faster.

Don't forget to write down the IOE # in case you haven't heard from USCIS

Also he gets 6 months to enter the country..but I was advised before the sooner the better

  2. Oh! by the way... can anybody tell me if there's any other fee that we need to pay?

    Thanks again!!!!!

My Husband's Visa has been finally..... Last week we received an email that he needed to be at the consulate to re-oath yesterday, I flew from Miami to Montreal because I wanted to be there. We entered the consulate at 2pm, were out by 2.30 with the Visa Approved and a welcome to USA letter... the 2 persons that helped us were really nice!

By 5pm I checked the CEAC website and the visa was ISSUED!!!!!!! OMG!!! what a beautiful word!!!!! after 14 months waiting!!!! We are so happy!!!!! Today we received the email with tracking info!!
I really want to thanks everybody here for all the support and encouragement!!! To the ones still waiting, keep your faith!! your day will come soon.

Idy, I am so happy to see you smile now...I told you I would be here until you get your visa!! You did it girl and congrats to both you coming to Miami...Pero, el calor esta de madre!! lol

  4. I just emailed Montreal with an specific question and they answered in less than 10 min (Wow!! thats great!!) (I'm being very sarcastic) Because their reply was just the same automatic email they always send about administrative processing!!

    uuugggggggg!!!!!! :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

Frustration level: There's no instruments to measure it!!

Guys I'm so happy for everybody already out of this nightmare!...

That is not fair consulate's taking too long...I hope you just rang the bell on them.

  5. Priya, I think you should get the police certificate..I mentioned to you, that it will come to this. By the time you request the report, it takes 1-2 weeks to receive it.

Just go ahead, spend the money its worth it.. rather than waiting. Its going to expire no matter what.

Mine expired on October 2015, and when consulate received my approval notices.. they email me asked to send a new one on Nov 23, 2015

I was supposed to share my experience at the POE, its been 3 years since I left US..I have been fuzzy and adjusting to the new environment...

  6. Hi All,

Our case has been updated 4 times in the last 4 weeks but our case is still in AP.

    2016.01.07 - 1st update

    2016.01.11 - 2nd update

    2016.01.28 - 3rd update

    2016.02.02 - 4th update

Any suggestions if we have any chance to get out of AP?

    Kind regards,

    ConiMoni

Someone's working on your case..I believe couples of background checks stage have been received.

Mine was updated twice towards the end of december but waited until Jan 20 to go "Ready"

  7. So:

    2016-01-28 Ready

    2016-01-29 Issued

    2016-02-01 Label created

It sat there, ready to rock, all by itself, all weekend :crying: I was kind of hoping it would make it by tomorrow (Tuesday), but I imagine it will be at least Wednesday.

Do you ever listen to me? I told you Tuesday or Wednesday.. Just joking!! :dancing:

Yea sure it will there on Wednesday since you are on the west coast...start packing!!!

  8. Hi guys,

Is it possible to choose to have your GC either maiden name or married name at the POE?

My maiden is John Smith Trudeau. I have been living in the states for 10 years before I have to go abroad for interview and I have been known as Johnny Smith

When I filed my DS-260 form, if I had used other names than my maiden name and I said "Yes"

Also I have my marriage certificate, expired driver license, and social security number under Johnny Smith

    What is your advise?

    Thanks

  9. Honestly, if I don't get issued before the 14th, which they had told me that I would...I probably will just ask for my passport back. They actually said to me in the interview, send in your medical before that date and you will get your passport back in time to go to Taiwan in March. I am just hoping they keep their word.

It makes no sense why it would be longer. They looked at everything else already and if they make me wait past the 14th Feb, I need to send in my police check and they are delaying the visa again.

I am just beyond frustrated at this point. If I don't hear anything by next Wednesday I will send an inquiry email and just see where everything is headed.

Get the police certificate now, don't wait!!! You never know what is going to happen...at least you have it and ready to send. My lawyer advised me to get it before my waivers were approved, when I got it...2 weeks later, Waivers approved
  10. No, if he is over the 90 days he is not in K-1 status. He would need the AOS receipt to show CBP that he has a pending AOS.

I understand now, he should not be worried at all...just let it go!! He has all evidence to prove any CBP about his status..

I was overstayed, with Final Order still took a flight with my passport..that was like 16 years ago!!

  11. Issued!!!

See..Tuesday or Wednesday you should have your passport.

And don't worry consulate will send you an email saying Canada Post has it..once it arrives at pick-up location, check your email again and give them the bar code and say to pick up visa envelope.
