  1. Who filed a I129f for the K3 visa?

I filed a I-129F for K3 visa, transferred from California to Potomac. I didn't know at the time but an I-129F is useless. The I-130 gets approved first, so I changed my filing on this website to show my wife's visa will be a CR-1. Even though I originally filed a K-3 visa, the I-130 will be approved first and the consulate will change the visa status to CR-1, since my wife and I have been married under two years. I have been following everyone that has been approved and congratulations to all and if things keep trending the way that they are, my day is arriving close for NOA2.

  2. I don't know how much good it did but I wrote to my U.S. Senator and received a reply from a case worker in his office. I needed to fill out forms and hopefully I receive expedite criteria. Also, I expressed my concerns on the lengthy process times and how all of us are in the dark being transferred to Potomac and how there is nothing on USCIS website to assist us and we don't know of approval unless we check our mailbox everyday. It has been 100 days since my PD and transfer on 11-09. I hope this might help all of us in our waiting journey. :clock: I am heading to Mexico tomorrow to see my wife for a week. It is her birthday and will keep in touch if any news.

  3. Finally got approved. Super excited. I called tier 2 officer and he told me that I got approved on DEC 11th. No updates on website no email or text.

    PD was July 14th

Transferred to potomac on Oct 15th

Case was received at my local office Dec 2nd

    Case approved Dec 11th.

Glad you finally got approved. You were more deserving and patient of being approved in anybody in the group. Congrats

  4. Just called and I took Natalie~n~Richard advice. I requested to talk to a tier 2 officer and received much better information. Found out the 3 letter code to Potomac is YSC. Tier 1 kept telling me my I-130 and I-129f were still being processed in California, tier 2 officer informed me that both petitions ARE IN Potomac and as of November 23, both petitions are being reviewed. I-130 PD October 9 and I-129f PD October 20. Just be patient out there, all of our day is coming. All I want for Christmas is my NOA2...my NOA2....my NOA2 :dance::dance: but all is calm.....all is bright. ( Sorry, got in the festive mood)

  5. So I have 9 days left to reply to this RFE (mostly not my fault), and I am freaking out.

It is a request for Initial Evidence for I-485.

    It says:

    • The petitioner/sponsor on Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, must submit a complete federal income tax return submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for the most recent year.

    What does this mean?

We included the most recent 3 years of tax returns for my wife (the U.S citizen). Do I (the petitioner, an Australian) have to give mine as well or something, or what?

She says it is possible we may have only included the first two pages (the relevant pages) which has the summary, but if that were the case wouldn't they have objected to the other 2 years of tax returns as well?

I wish they gave more specific information.

Item Numbers 18.a. - 20. Federal Income Tax Return Information

You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your

Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to

establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual

income tax returns for the three most recent years.

    Form I-864 Instructions 07/02/15 N Page 8 of 16

You are not required to have the IRS certify the transcript or photocopy unless specifically instructed to do so by a

Government official; a plain transcript or photocopy is acceptable. Telefile tax records are not acceptable proof of filing.

Do not submit copies of your state income tax returns. Do not submit any tax returns that you filed with any foreign

government unless you claim that you were not required to file a Federal individual income tax return with the United

States Government and you wish to rely on the foreign return solely to establish the amount of your income that is not

subject to tax in the United States.

If you provide a photocopy of your Federal individual income tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every

Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS

transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return

with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income.

( This is from I-864 Instructions page)

  6. Again! All of our petitions are still in Potomac! The website just reads local office but it means it was just processed in their system December 2! Also i applied for expidite on Nov 18 and recieved an email yesterday from the Potomac office that it was approved. Patience people Potomac is working faster than we think. Days can drag during this process but patience will help!

I also was one of the December 2 notice to local office, with a notice date of October 13 and a transfer to Potomac from California on November 9. I agree, I think Potomac is working faster then we think. Just be patient out there and keep each other posted on updates.

  7. Nothing yet. I attempted to contact my lawyer, and they're out of office until Monday. So I will have to wait. Sorry for the let down. The more I read everyones story here. It sounds exactly the same.. This leads me to believe maybe this is just a normal proceeding, and we have nothing to worry about. But on Monday, I will let you know any information I find out.

I have been reading some and it looks like we are all in the same Potomac Boat. The good news is being processed at Potomac is faster then the four other service centers as they are all backed up to 5 months or more. The bad news is you have to call USCIS for processing updates as their is no place on their website to check for updates to Potomac. Looking at previous posts, it appears that Potomac is almost to the month of August receipt date. They have advanced a month in a week and a half's time. I just keep checking on others updates and just try to be patient. I was going to get an attorney, but all they want is my money and their is nothing more that they can do then I can do myself. I will probably be changing my K3 visa status for my wife to a CR1 as it appears the I129F is running slow.

  8. I thought I would put my status in the forum on my I130. My priority date is October 9, My receipt date is October 13. It was filed through Chicago Lockbox and sent to California. Then I receive notice that is was transferred to Potomac on November 9. Then my latest update that it was received at office on December 2. Those of us that have been transferred to Potomac have to look after each other because the USCIS website sure isn't helping out.
