Hello everyone,
im not sure if there´s already a thread for that Topic but i havent found one.
So our Story is we are planning on marry in September / October this year and then filing the I-130.
He´s in the Army and right now his duty Station is in Texas but he will re-enlist in August so probably there´s a Change of permanently duty Station coming around 2017
So my question is, anyone here has experience with expediting process? I´ve read they expedite when he has a deployment upcoming but i´ve also read from some they just had a PCs´ing upcoming and a letter from their commander to proof that and they have been expedited too.
I would be very thankful if you i can get a bit Input what reason you gave them to expedite your case and if it worked or not?
Also maybe some recently Infos about the timeline how Long it took to get the cr1 visa for NOT expedited processes?
Thank you all so much
Greetings from Germany
Kat
Hi! I am married to a US marine last Dec 2014 we filed our I-130 on Sept 8 2015, received our NOA 1 September 10. We filed for expedite on February 8, 2016. Received a call from tier 2 February 18,2016 that expedite has been approved. Their sending our papers to embassy and I will be scheduled for interview soon. ?

Our case has been approved for expedite, our papers will no longer go to NVC it will be sent to our embassy (philippine embassy) directly. The uscis will contact my husband once the papers reach our embassy and will send me letter for the steps of my interview...
so much happiness i will no longer have to wait and worry... thank you Lord.. I hope you receive all your Approval soon... thanks to this site ☺️

Yup, I told my husband to call uscis and the military hotline to compare their statement. He first call the uscis spoke to tier 1 and and was advise to wait within 45 days and then he called the military he was advised to wait for a call from a tier 2. A tier called and informed him that the expedite has been approve since he will be deployed soon. But I have to ask him clearly what really is the conversation because he is currently in the field. That's pretty odd.

Hello guys I saw this on my husbands email from uscis...
Your case is now under expedited review. You should receive a decision or notice of further action on Form I-130 within 45 days from the date of this letter.
And then I asked my husband again to call the uscis, he was advised to wait for a call because a tier 2 officer will call him. After a couple of minutes a tier 2 called him and informed about the expedite that I will be interviewed soon so im like what? how come? like duh? we never even receive NOA2 ? and the tier 2 officer was a Filipina they even spoke to our language, she verified all the information in our papers. But I dont know I'll give you an update guys what evers gonna happen to our papers ???

My husband filed separately last year in the US, and I filed as married in Canada. This year he plans to file married (although he says since we are married in Canada he can still file single in the US). So far he hasn't mentioned any problems filing without a SSN, also my sister's husband is American and he files married taxes each year with no problem (my sister is Canadian and she does not have an SSN). Hope that helps
Thank you and God bless ?

I have a question, did you file a joint or separate tax with your wife/husband? Because my husband is having a hard time doing his taxes since i don't have my ssn yet. What can you recommend? Thank you.

Do you mind sharing what country she is coming from? I have observed USCIS gives preference to Philippines, Japan and Greece applications.
I'm from Philippines and still waiting for NOA2 PD is September 10 ???

Get a ITIN number for your spouse.... that's what I am working on right now. I still do not know all the requirements needed. All I know is that I need to fill out a W7 form for my wife and grab her original passport.
Thank you for the information.

My I-130 is has been finally approved from the Potomac. The filing date was August 31. Didn't receive any email or text like the other two time when they stated that they have received the paperwork and it's being transferred to Potomac (originally Texas Center). I just found it in the mailbox right now.
Congrats!!!
