  1. Hi all,

I am in the same boat with multiple present addresses too.

I own a home in the state where I grew up and moved to my current state for a 5-year job. I have an apartment where I am now but go to my primary home in the other state about once a month and on all holidays. I will assume it's like if someone is at college.

    How should I list them?

    Address 1 (House I own and consider primary/permanent) 2008-Present
Address 2 (Apartment I rent for my 5-year job) 2012- Dec 2016 (closest I could come to present) (though I won't be finished until 8/2017
Does this create an out of chronological order?
Should I do an attached sheet explaining the concurrent dual residences?

Note: I receive mail at both and have a credit record at both addresses.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi all,

I am seeking advice on which visa to pursue.

    - I am a US-born American citizen married to a Dane. I am in my 40s and have had no marriages prior.

    - I married my partner in Vancouver, BC, Canada in July 2016. We got married in Canada because he had a B1/B2 and C1/D Crew visas (he's a flight attendant) at the time that prevented us from being married in the US.

    - We had two additional ceremonies in Seattle (my hometown) and in Vegger, Denmark (his hometown).

    - He is currently visiting me in California and, because of his flight benefits, has the opportunity to come and go as he wishes

    - I am financially capable of supporting the two of us

    - We plan to reside in Seattle.

The question I have is, is it better to pursue a K3 or a IR/CR 1? Our greatest concern is him being able to come and go while the visa application occurs. We would have to be separated by long periods of time or he being completed excluded from entering the US.

Thank your advice. We are ready to begin our application process immediately and have obtained all necessary documents for either option.

  3. Hello all. This is an amazing forum of information and thanks to all of those who keep the information flowing for all of us seeking information.

I'm a US citizen (born here) who is now engaged (over Thanksgiving!) to my Danish partner who has existing visa (C1 and B1) for work as a flight attendant. We would like to get married in the US in July and have second ceremony in Denmark in August. We can swap wedding ceremony orders if necessary (Denmark in July/US in August).

Here is some basic background information on us:

    - Met in 2014 socially where I live; engaged in 2015 while on vacation

    - He visits me 2-3 a month because of his work travel to my city from Denmark

    - I've visited him twice in Denmark and Christmas will be a third

    - We are both over 21 and are professionally employed

    - We are in excellent health

    - He has C1 and B1 Visas because of his employment (airlines); B1 will be renewed in April

    - He will relocate to the US after marriage

    - No paperwork has been started; we are just starting on the research

    My questions are:

    - Is it best get married in the US first or Denmark first given our timeline?

    - If the US first, can we do a change of status for his B1 to K1 or do a 129F? (Note, he needs his Visa for work reasons)

    - If Denmark first, can we do a change of status for his B1 to CR1?

    - Do any of these actions impact his C1/B1 statuses?

    Thanks for your support!

    A. Roman
