  1. Hi Leandro, we are also a gay couple (engaged).  I live in New York and my fiance in Cuba.  We are getting ready to submit the I-129F this month.  With the new restriction, I was wondering if I will be allowed to go back to Cuba to be with my boyfriend the day of his interview.  Would you know any gay couple that has completed their process?   Please share any experience.  Thank you.

hey hector .. its ok k was in your shoes once and I had to ask questions too .. I don't mind them at all ... don't submit the biometrics .. that's not needed .. I want you to submit as many pictures and información as possible.. on regards of my family and my fiancé in Cuba I am ok and they are ok too thank you for asking .. verify your package if you have Facebook you can add me Leandro Aguila .. my experience was super great and I couldn't ask for a better one I got out my interview and I started crying because I didn't believe that I was able to get everything done and without any mistakes I had a visa within 6 months .. it was a great feeling .. Cuba can be cuba at any time you just have to be prepare and don't show nervousness.. my interview was in English with me almost the whole time I took over the conversation and that was fast it lasted like 15 to 20 minutes talking about life and our goals .. i did it in English cus the consult felt more comfortable and I didn't want other people listening to our business so everyone was looking but kind of surprise .. when we git the visa a lot of people there congratulated us .. :)

      Hi Hector ,

Congrats in your engagement, on regard of your question I think you can travel and be present to the interview . Remember the new restrictions are made for those who see Cuba as a vacation and those who have businesse with some entities over there. You still have someone that you call family and that's your fiancé. I was present for the interview the first time and now planning to go to the second time again .. we got the visa the first time and we were asked like 3 questions and the CO was super happy with us .. my fiancé is a surgeon so cuba didn't realease him on time so our visa expired .. the embassy told us we have to repeat the process again and that's where we are now ... any questions contact me !
