That is on of your duties as a US citizen.
I thought because i'm not Us born citizen i can be excused, but i guess i have no excuse

There are reasons to be excused from it, but simply not wanting to is not one of them.
I see, Thanks

Not true. He/she could request a Certificate True Copies at any USCIS and send it in order to prove his/her citizenship while applying for PP.
The certificate true copies are accepted by Department of State, please refer to the official website to see the documents accepted.
Found out they want the original certificate

Hello, i have 3 simple questions regarding "vote" , i appreciate your help:
1. Do i need to wait for certain time after ceremony in order to register to vote or, as soon as i became a US citizen i can go a head and register ?
2. I know registering to vote is a right, what are the benefits for registering to vote?
3. There is a question while registering : if i consent to the use of my DMV signature to register to vote? should i answer yes or no to this question? im not sure if the signature here means my old signature at dmv while applied for ID or its something new? for ex if i answer no, how they will get the signature?
Thank you,

Just checked my USCIS case -
The oath cancellation letter that I got was mailed on July 17 (one business day after I went in to request to change the oath date - Infopass was on the 14th). The USCIS case did not change - still say - Oath Ceremony Noticed was mailed. However, when I went into my USCIS case and saw the Last Updated was on July 26, so I suspected that they have mailed the new oath ceremony date and more likely, it will be on August 12. I probably will get the letter this week for sure. Will keep you posted.

I have a question for you please, i had my interview on June and a decision can not be made and since then i'm waiting for a word from USCIS, i just check my status by Entering the Case number it still shows" interview has been scheduled" i have no USCIS account, where do you see the LAST UPDATE? i was wondering where can i see the last update from USCIS for my case?
Thanks

I know it seems like a very long time, but 1 month is still under the normal processing time. If you got closer to like, maybe three months without being inline for your oath? Then I would start to get concerned. Some field offices only conduct oath ceremonies on certain dates (like once a month, so there is limited room to fit people into ceremonies on a first come first served basis), and some only do them when they have a certain amount of approved applicants before scheduling them all into the same ceremony.
hopefully i get some news anytime soon, i'm tired of waiting

No real difference in how much time either one of processes takes...and not always something to worry about.
Sometimes it's just standard procedure to be placed under supervisor review (for example, the IO could be new on the job and all of their cases have to pass through a supervisor first, I've heard of that happening before and the IO being apologetic to the applicant when explaining why they couldn't approve it right away). Sometimes a decision cannot be made because they want to double-check information you provided at the interview (ie. maybe check into some of your travel dates further through their own databases).
Normally, it clears up quick enough and the applicant is put into the line for oath scheduling.
Thanks, i wish after waiting now for almost 1 month to have an immediate update in the future weeks like : inline for oath, my online status : "interview was scheduled" , makes me feel so confused, im not sure if they are working on my case or no, if really they are looking at it or its just on pause,i'm wondering how long should i wait more if the status will change to " under supervisor review" then i have to wait for the supervisor review to be complete....... because most of those they get the letter saying " a decision cannot be made" their status change to " under supervisor review" in the same day of interview, my case looks different

It can depend on certain things...did you get an actual approval after your interview, or did you get the "decision cannot be made now" or "under supervisor review" after your interview?
If you got the wholehearted approval---congrats! It can still take anywhere up to a few months or so before they can schedule you into an oath ceremony.
If you got the "decision cannot be made" or "under supervisor review"---Sometimes it can be a couple of weeks, sometimes it can take several months before you will be in line for an oath scheduling.
Since you are already close to 2 months, I would take your copy of the letter the IO gave you after your interview and schedule an Infopass to talk to someone in person.
Hi, i was just curious to know , is there any difference between " decision cannot be made" and "under supervisor review" or they are the same? because in my interview day (June) a decision couldn't be made and since that day the online status didnt change to " under supervisor review" when i called the NCS i was told a decision cannt be made yet, i thought i will here my case under supervisor review, Thanks

hi, if somebody has a USCIS account when checking the online status ,plz let me know if the account has more detailed information than the easy checking status using the receipt number, when i enter the receipt number i see no update yet since my interview: "interview has been scheduled" i wanted to know if the account will show something different if not i don't need it , thank you

You have to wait until appointments open up. There's no other way to make an appointment other than the online website, so keep checking back.
Why not just create and account and see?
Thank you, yes i will keep checking i'm sure i will get something
I think i will create an account and see i just wanted to know if somebody has an account just to tell me if the account shows more details other than the online check in,

All you can do is keep trying; new Infopass slots open daily.
Thank you for your answer, i dont think they opened any slots for the area where i live in foe 2 days, because i checked the online website at 11.50pm- 12.00am- till 1.30AM then i wake up early and checked again at 06am and 07.50 and 08am.... and still i'm checking. last year i made an infopass very easily , i don't know what to do

Hi, i was trying to make an infopass for the last 2 days but its not possible, i check the online page all day in different times and i just get this: currently, there are no available appointments, please check again tomorrow???? how can i make an infopass? is there any other way to make it other than the online website because i think its not working or there is 0 available appointment ?
i have another question, is the "online status" using the receipt number is the same like when you create an account /log in? i don't have an account i just check status easily by entering my receipt number but i was wondering why my online status didn't update since my interview and was wondering may be the account will give more details about the case!!! what do you think?
i appreciate your help,
Thank you

Usually hunches are correct, so that is probably what it is. They likely have to review everything just to reconfirm. It shouldn't get you denied or anything like that, but it may add up to a month. Just got to be patient. I had my interview on June 27, but didn't get my letter until a mere 3 working days from the ceremony, meaning I was near the cutoff. So you may have not made it to the July 19th ceremony anyways. In fact, if you look at San Diego timelines for members in VJ, most have to wait a month or two before their oath date. I'm guessing you'll get yours August, September at the very latest.
Yes true, thank you so much for your answers, Happy for you

Sorry to hear about that. Why didn't the interviewer recommend you for approval - was there an issue?
The time on the oath letter was 12:30, which is the time you are advised to show up and get in line, as the line won't even move until then. So there is no need to get there earlier unless you want to stand in the hot sun that much longer. The actual ceremony was at 2:30. Once the line moves (and it moves quickly), your friends and family members get in a different line and end up going upstairs in the Golden Hall, while you, and everyone else getting sworn for citizenship, end up on the bottom floor seating. 1,000 people got sworn in. And it was the second ceremony that day, as there was also a morning one, where 1,500 got sworn in. The ceremony lasted about 30-45 minutes, with various speakers. It was a bit boring, with the most exciting part being an interactive portion where each country in the world was called out, and respective members from that country stood up to audience applause. You can imagine which had the largest number of members (Mexico), with the Philippines being second.
Afterwards, back outside, pictures were taken, and, for those who wanted it, booths for voter registration and passport processing were available, but we skipped that as we just wanted to enjoy the day's experience and deal with all that later.
Good luck. Next one is August 23rd I believe. Hopefully all issues for your application will be resolved by then. If so, expect a letter mid-August for that one.
Thank you , there was no correct/specific reason for a decision not be made at the same day of my interview, the interviewer told me he has a recommendation but need the supervisor to confirm it, he the interviewer told me the green card i got was supposed to be different than the one i had because my marriage was more than 2 years when i came to USA and the confusing thing is my marriage was less than 2 years and the green card i got was exact because he verified this information at the interview day, hopefully i get an update by mid August ,

Thank you , so why your ceremony was cancelled after they sent you a notification to attend?
they didn't send me anything, after my interview i was told a decision cannot be made, since then i'm waiting and no update in my online status , my online status is still" interview has been scheduled" my interview was on June 29, and San Diego field office has an oath ceremony today for those they had interview on June

To sam_111 what is your field office? is your online status is the same as before" interview has been scheduled"? or " under supervisor review"?
