  1. 1) Mexico - you will need to find and provide proof that you are reestablishing your domicile in the USA

    2) Isn't your daughter USC or will she be needing a visa and will be a USC once arriving in the USA?

Do not count anyone twice. So on your wife's I-864 you count her as the beneficary but write 0 as wife (because you already counted her) then check 1 for your dependent (daughter)

IF your daughter is not already a USC

on her I864 you count her as the beneficiary, write 1 for your wife, and do not put any dependents as you already counted your daughter

Thank your for your promptly reply!.

I will rent an apartment before the consular interview to prove that I have reestablish domicile in the USA, I already have a USA social security number, USA bank account, USA credit card, USA drivers licence, I just registered to vote, I have a USA employment, I have a mailing address in the USA, from what I have read, this may help, however since I live right at the border, it may not be sufficient, because it is very easy for a US citizen to have all this and live in mexico (Tijuana) or any other border city in Mexico.

My daughter is not a USC, shell will acquire citizenship upon arrival in the USA.

    Thanks again!

  2. Hello everybody, I am having a hard time with the I-864, I am the petitioner, and only sponsor, I have been living in Tijuana, Mexico since I got married, about 10 years ago, I am immigrating my daughter (8 yo) and my wife, we are doing a consular process since my wife does not have a tourist visa, and I hope someone can help me out with a few questions I have in the affidavit of support form (I-864)

    Question 1:

I know I don't qualify to be domiciled in the USA, therefore, I am writing a letter to document the steps to re-establish domicile in the united sated, this is Part 4, Item 5 (Country of domicile) my question is, Do I type Mexico as country of domicile? since that’s where I live, or do I type USA because I will re-establish, common sense tells me, that I have to type in Mexico, but I just want to make sure and avoid being denied for a small error.

    Question 2:

Part 5, Item 1 - 8, the total number on household gives 4, but we are 3, My wife, my daughter, and myself = 3, item 1 asks to enter the number entered in Part 3. Item 28, which is my wife for one form, and it will be my daughter for the second I-864, and then later asks me if I am currently married, and to enter 1 for my wife, so I am, and I entered 1, however my wife was already counted because she is the beneficiary in this form, do I omit this one and type 0? Should I do the same in the form for my daughter when I get asked to enter any dependent children?

Thank you in advanced for your help!

    Julio.
