  1. Hi all

It's heartbreaking reading these posts where it's taking so long to receive your approvals. Don't lose faith, it will happen. Mine was approved Dec 2nd, received by NVC Jan 28th, fees paid and now just waiting for the payment status to change to paid before I start working on the DS-260. My daughter has already prepared the I-864 so as soon as I've done my bit, she's ready to roll too.

To help me with the DS-260, I downloaded a hard copy of the exemplar from this website:

    http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/DS-260%20Exemplar.pdf

I have been through the form and checked what areas I need to complete and discarded those that are not required. I'm ready and prepared!

    Good luck everyone!!!

    Hello,

    What do we do?

  3. Im just waiting and its killing me already

    how long :crying:

I filed my I-130 in July 2015 and it got approved December 2nd. It was sent to NVC and they didn't receive it until Jan 28th 2016! It can then take 4-6 weeks for the NVC to assign a case number. Once you have this, you can appoint an agent. Once you have submitted your agent details, it could be 2 weeks before you get your invoice number to pay for filing fee.....no quick routes I'm afraid!

  4. My husband called to expedite the process and I saw this as I've check our status online. Our PD September 10. Don't know if it really works, has anybody tried to expedite their process?

On February 11, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number ____, was completed.

    02/11/2016

On February 11, 2016, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number _______.

    02/11/2016

On February 11, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number ______, was assigned to an officer for response.

My daughter has expedited my case as she is 33 weeks pregnant. There are certain circumstances where they will expedite your application but it's not a given. Proof must be submitted to support the request and then you just have to hope. Good luck

  5. Hi everyone,

I just saw some other posts in the August 2015 filers forum saying that they are now on to the interview process. I'm happy for them but at the same time it is quite disheartening since we haven't even received our NOA2 yet!

My priority date (or if that even matters) is August 24th. We called the USCIS line but got an automated message. How do you get through to a tier 2 agent? Other than that we are waiting to February 24th, if it is not received by then, we will be submitting the formal case inquiry form.

    Thanks

Try calling the NVC on (603) 334-0700 and not USCIS. Their website is really good and helpful.

My daughter who is Stateside called them every other weekday. If you get someone who really doesn't give you much help. end the call by saying thank you for your time and then call again. You will get someone else and keep doing this until you get somebody who is very helpful. Believe me, they vary!! Good luck!

  6. I received my NOA2 on Dec 2nd and my daughter who is a US citizen has been calling the NVC 3 times a week from Jan 2nd but they still cannot find my receipt number in the system. We have both emailed NVC Inquiry and NVC Research over the last 2 weeks but have heard nothing from them. My daughter is expecting her first baby in 10 weeks - my first grandchild and I really hope to be there by then. I am now concerned my paperwork has been lost! Does anybody have any other suggestions I could do?

  9. Hi all

My I-130 was received on July 14th in the Alaska office. We then received notification that my case was being transferred to Potomac on October 16th but cannot find any information on processing times for this office. Phone calls have proved fruitless too as the automated system is not recognising my receipt number. Any info anyone has on thus would be very helpful
