  1. Hi have a case complete date of Jan. 21. I saw that another person had their CC on Jan. 11 from Turkey and they got the interview date scheduled in March. Anybody also waiting for an interview Ankara??

    Hi greylinh75

We're waiting for an interview schedule in Ankara. Our CC date is 29th of Jan.

Hoping to get an interview scheduled for April.

Just out of curiousity: Are you a Turkish citizen ?

  2. Gaurav, check this out:

From page 5 of last NVC meeting with AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) on November 23 2015.

Here is the whole document: It was posted by

What is the current time it takes for a case to be forwarded to Post once all required documents have been received? RESPONSE: NVC schedules appointments two times per month on a first-come, first-served basis based upon the appointment capacity of the post. If a case is documentarily qualified (and current by cut-off date), it will be placed in the appointment queue and a letter confirming DQ status will be sent to the agent. Most interviews are scheduled within 30 days of the case being recognized as DQ. But, if demand at a particular post is high, it may take longer. NVC receives posts appointment capacity only on a monthly basis so is not able to predict when a specific case may receive an interview appointment. Once an appointment has been set, NVC sends a notice to the applicant with the appointment date and time, along with a link to the post website with further information about how to prepare for the interview. The case file is then prepared for shipping (or electronic transfer for posts who accept electronic processing) and sent to post within 10 days. Posts receive appointment and shipment lists from NVC electronically and generally receive the physical case file within 10 days of the scheduled interview.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS DQ, ANY ONE KNOWS?

Frank this is amazing information. Thank you for sharing it.

  3. So here is what it is.... They schedule interviews on First Come First Serve.... Many embassy around the world works differently some release date once a month and some release date throughout the month or some do not release it is they look at the pool at certain time in month and then give the dates....

No embassy does the same way...NVC role is just obey embassy and sometime it is that NVC works on fixed schedule and they only do date assigning twice a month so they will assign sometime next week as they do in second week of month and last week of month..... usually that is what i have figured out.

Now regarding dates it is random... embassy typically try to fill dates from back to top and sometimes they release some date and then hold some dates back to release it later as they feel they need to. New Delhi, India is perfect example.... They release date very randomly so do not loose hope i am also frustrated but i am praying to God and people here are very supportive sometime more supportive than those people i talk at NVC who can't even tell what is happening....Just read a scripted answer.... :ranting::ranting::ranting::ot2:

    Just hang in there

I guess patience is the key. Thank you!

  4. Woo-Hoo!! Checked CEAC today and it took longer than usual to log in, then BAM! 3 N/A's!!! I called NVC to ask if something changed and she said my case is being finalized as the N/A is there but greyed out. She said we should be getting an email in the next 5 - 7 days regarding the interview in Montreal. I started crying at my desk at work.. lol

The hubby completed the DS-260 last Wednesday and I submitted the supporting docs via email last Thursday.

Congratulations!!! Also, good luck with the interview!

  5. I'm surprised also :) but since I live in another country with my spouse and had a complicated case including 2 year HRR I didn't want to deal with that bymyself. I don't know it happened but there is nothing so much to do. :)

Gotcha. Yeah I had the same 2 year HRR myself after doing an AIESEC (J1) internship in the U.S.

Wouldn't it be nice if immigration attorneys had customer satisfaction guarantee ?

"If your case is delayed while I'm on the case, I will give you a full refund!".

I should just shut my mouth.

  6. Don't worry. My story;

    Ncv recieved documents: 10/19

Checklist request: 12/01 ( My attorney talked on the phone and sent all the cheklist documents (military document and spouse domicile) by email and mail. My attorney told me my case proceeds smoothly and she doesn't expect any other checklist. )

    Nvc recieved documents: 12/4

so I think we will get CC in this week.

I don't want to ask my lawyer to talk to them again just wait and see.

I am surprised that you got a checklist when you had an attorney helping you out with your case.

Good luck, hope you'll get your CC soon.
