Well .... it turns out i got crazy for nothing this time. The name is of the person who signed my AP. After all the problems we had so far ... i see mistakes everywhere. Now we have to go do biometrics again ..... because it took them 3 month to realise they lost them ....

I say is the name of a man. But is only above the picture ... not on the form at the top of the paper ... there is the right name.

I want to travel to my home country in May and I discovered on my AP above my picture is the wrong name. What do I do now? Send papers back or go for an Infopass .... I want my papers soon.

After all the problems we had with the address we add another one. At the beginning of February we had an infopass to see what happens with the EAD.

We were told that the EAD had been approved an i should have it in the mail in 20 days. My FBI name check was also done so the GC should be approved sometime after the end of March.

Well ... now is more than a month later .... and I have no EAD. What is have is a letter for a biometrics appointment . I did my biometrics in January , the same day with the interview. The later is dated March 8 2007 and is for an appointment in December 2006

We are going for another infopass today and hope to get some answers?

After calling the USCIS again to solve the problem with the mailing address I received a letter. It stated they researched my case . They "are actively processing it but they have to perform additional research and this has caused a longer processing time". Has anyone received this? Do you have any ideea what it means?

I am suppose to call after six monthif nothing comes by then. Will this delay the case?

I have the same problem .... right after I received the NOA1 .... nothing came after that. So I called ... many times....had an infopass , had an interview ... and yet my case online is updated ... after 2 month .... as mail undeliverable. I call USCIS every week ... I missed 2 biometrics .... now I am after the interview and I can't see what my status is. I don't know what else to do .... I will go for an infopass soon ... see what they say again.

The mistake in my case .... the name of the street is too long so they dont type the last number of the apt.

I missed my biometrics appt. too. It was their fault but I was really worried too. When I went for my interview the officer gave me a letter and I did it the same day. But I was told to go there in person as well. It was too close to our interview so I just waited.

After reading most of the stories here I feel lucky. We applied at the end of October 06 and got our interview very soon. Except the problem with the address where they forgot the last number of our apt. we didn't have problems so far. Now I wonder how long till I receive the GC.

We had our interview in San Francisco yesterday, January 4, 2007.

I was a bit nervous because I don't have a SSN yet so our evidence were limited. We managed to open a joint bank account at our bank, Bank of America. Anyone who has this problem may try them. Based on my passport and visa they opened a joint account. Then we had the lease contract, pictures and some proof we traveled together. Cards from family and friends, emails, etc. The officer asked us a lot of questions, but he was nice. He asked for pics from the wedding and he asked to see " the rock on my hand"

We had a problem in receiving mail from them. They kept on cutting short our home address so I missed 2 biometric appointments ... so he helped us do the biometric the same day and he also promised he will take care of the address problem. He told us we were approved but without the biometrics he could not do it officially. He just gave us a letter of how the official letter will look like.

I would say it was a lot of stress but it wasn't for nothing. He saw we came prepared and i think it mattered.

One month after we sent our AOS papers i received an email asking to call and give our new address as our a notice could not be delivered. We called and confirmed it was the same address and one week later we recived the biometrics appointment which we missed. We sent back the paper and asked for a reschedule. Then we received our interview date. Today I checked the USCIS site and found out our portfolio was updated saying again :"Notice returned as undeliverable" and that we could have serious problems.

Can anybody tell me what to do? Is this a very serious matter?

We had the same problem. I called the USCIS office and gave them our address again. I was lucky I received it the second time because the first time I missed my biometrics appointment. The second letter was my interview date and it arrvied but it had the address hand written on it. We discovered the problema was when they typed the address. It was too long and it was not all typed so of course it could not be delivered. I was thinking it only happened to me ... but i can see it happened to others as well.

Thank you all . I wish you all my best and for those who still wait ... good luck and patience! I know is hard but in the end is all so worth it. The moment i heard : " It looks like everything is ok and we will do all we can so you can have your passport as soon as possible" .... i forgot all about the last 7 month ... about how hard they were and all the frustration in between.

I had my interview today. I don't know how many will be interested to hear my story. I will post a few lines just in case.

I had my interview appointment at 10 am this morning. I arrived there 30 minutes earlier and I joined the que. When I got inside the Embassy I had to wait 20 minutes to be called. I got to the window and I gave the documents from the check list .I explained I need my visa very soon because I have to go to my home country. The man there said will put a note for that.

Then I took a seat and waited for about 1 hour and a half.

Finaly they called my number. I cant say it was a pice of cake. I was with the officer for about 15-20 minutes. I was asked many questions. What does my fiance work? When did he started to work for this company? What does his job mean exactly? How many times did he travel to see me? When did we visit my country? Does he have children? So many i cant think of right now.

Then he asked for pictures. I explained where they were taken and who was with us in the pictures. And in the end he said he understands i need my passport quickly so he will do all he can to help me.

I left the embasssy at 12:30.

Now I wait for my passport. Good lucky to everybody who waits for they interview .

I am waiting for my interview in London. I am Romanian but i am working here so i applied for my visa through the US Embassy in London. I have my interview tomorrow morning, 6 of July, at 10 am. I didn't know where to post so i just posted here. I will come with details after my interview.

Anybody used San Francisco as POE?

So there is a chance that even if i pay extra i wont get it on time? This is not good ....

I'll pay as much as it takes just to make sure i get it soon. I also want to book my flight and i want to make sure i won't miss it. I just hope it arrives on time.

I haven't book my flight yet because i dont know when. I have my interview at 10amso it is in the morning. But is also on Thursday ... and if they don't send my passport back by Friday I doubt I can have it till Monday ... which will be a bit late for me. So there is it possible to pay a before 8am delivery? That would be so great for me. Thanks for you answer anyway.

Can it be possible to receive my visa and passport the next morning? I have to leave the UK 2 days after my interview. Will that be possible?

[My fiance is the US citizen. He did almost all the work for the visa process and he was always on top of things. And i used to think i will have to do all the hard work! I guess that when men want they can be very focused and do a great work. Or maybe i am just lucky
