  1. okay. so me and my husband had an interview.

our officer wasn't very friendly person. barely smiled..

    I think interview went okay.

he took some of documents I brought, and gave me some papers(he told me extra)..

and He changed my eligible onthe Is-485 to apply for AOS to the first one and had me signed..

    looked at our pictures...

and then he said. "that's all for today. I'll send the decision and if approved, you will get a letter within 3 weeks"..

    we were like.. what?

okay. so anyone else had this situation?

I thought he's the one makes the decision.

he didn't tell me anything about FBI name check or ..

so I guess we're not approved... are we gonna get approved?

    any ideas??

Sorry to hear your situation...... I have pretty much the same situation. I had my AOS interview on June 15 still no answer

  2. Hi everyone,

We are putting together everything for our AOS/Green Card interview on Monday. On the list of items to take to the interview, they say,

Bring Originals and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise we may keep your originals for our records.

    What do they mean?

Do we take the original I- 129F or are they looking for everything that we ever submitted?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated. We are sick of this whole damn thing, so the sooner we get it over with the better!!

    Thanks guys.

Just for an advise. I had my interview yesterday. We were ask to show our actual joint check book ans certainly we did not bring. Good luck!

  3. good Luck and quick results for you to get your approval.

Everyone is different in there green card results depending on your specific situation.

It has been nearing 1 month since our interview and nada, approaching 120 days on the whole AOS paperwork.

It looks like the INS officer wants to make sure you are spending money together and took the affidavit of support.

    Moondancer

Moondancer, did the INS take away your I94 after the interview?. My I94 was taken away, but not the EAD

  4. I am confused for my case status, after today AOS interview. We prepare more than well on document that was requested in the interview letter. Our interview is schedule for 9:45am. We were in the waiting room at 9:15am. We were call for interview by almost 11:00am. First, swearing. Than, ask my name, wife name, social security number. Than she ask for my passport which I do not have one. I show her fax letter from embassy that passport is on the way to my home. Ask my wife for home number, address. Than official, ask for my business license and business card. I said I did bring my business license. And I could not find my business card. She than ask for my wife who own the house title she live before. My wife says the house is still under her name. She than ask who live in the previous house. My wife answer; daughter and uncle. She than ask for the utility bill of her pervious house. We were stunt why need to bring her previous house current bill. Than ask the standard question on 485. Show her my utility bill,insurance,photo,2005 tax filling, sequence of check wrote by both if us, deed and 2-gift receipt. And the official asks us to show her the actual gift and actual checkbook. We were surprise again. She said she would keep the I94.She than look at her computer, and said I will notify you within 90 day, but you should hear from a lot less than 90 day.

The official does not mention security check? Is that a good news?

    Why she take the I-94?

Overall, we were stunt on few requests.

Can any one give me some idea where do I stand????

  5. Will immigration office offer any document for reentry USA after I pass the green card interview? I will have my green card interview within the next few weeks, but I have an expired Malaysia passport. Malaysia government policy will not allowed renew expired passport from whom reside oversea. All Malaysian must renew its passport in Malaysia,if the passport expired, but Malaysia consulate will issue emergency certificate for traveling back to Malaysia only. Will the immigration officer stamp my expire passport or provide any document so that I can be assure can enter USA?

My understand that immigration office will stamp I-55 or I-94 for passing the interview. Can I use these dcoument for reentry the USA?
