  1. Wow. What a detailed and informative write-up. My fiance's interview is coming up in April 4, and the information you've provided will be a great help as we prepare for the interview. However, I wonder if it's too early for us to start working on getting the police clearance ?

    Thanks for your compliments. I advise that your fiance/spouse goes for the Police Clearance one month before his interview appointment. Police Clearance has a short life span. So, do not get it too early. However, tell him to go for his medicals in good time.

    Thank You.

  2. Hello Everyone,

    Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It helps!!!!

    Here is my husband's experience that he had back in November:

    EARLY PREPARATION AND UNFLINCHING COMMITMENT - THE KEY.

    As I share my experience with you through this piece, permit me to ,first of all, thank my wife for her doggedness and unwavering optimism, patience, commitment and her invaluable investments in the process leading to my visa appointment in Lagos, Nigeria. If she had not held tenaciously to our LOVE, dotting all the "i"s and crossing all the "t"s, we would not have gotten to that stage, in the first place.

    Before going into the details of my experience, it is pertinent to advise here that the first step to take is to ensure that you have a travel document (National Passport). You would need it for/at every stage leading to the issuance of a Visa.

    My first step on the road to my visa appointment was getting the National Visa Center package sent to the US Consulate in Lagos. The Consulate is expected to send such a package to the applicant, but from my experience, I discovered that waiting on the Embassy to send it to you by regular mail or courier could be an endless wait. They have so much to attend to, so it is the responsibility of the applicant to go to the Embassy for the package. It takes a few hours of wait in line, but, at the end of the day, getting the package and knowing your visa appointment long ahead of the date is worth the seemingly long wait at the embassy and a lot more productive than an unpredictable and eternal wait for the package via regular mail or courier. It may never come. In my case, I got to the embassy as early as 6:35am and got my package at about 2:00pm same day.

    Once you have collected the package, do not procrastinate. Start working on it, immediately. Go for your Police Character Clearance. You would need the original copy and a photocopy of the data page(s) of your international travel document (National Passport) and two (2) passport-sized photographs. It is very easy to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate, and you can get it same day. All you need to do is insist and talk about it to one of the police officers in charge. I got mine same day, though I had to wait for about 3 to 4 hours for my finger-prints and personal data to be read, analyzed and checked in their data bank. My persistence and the wait paid off.

    The next stage is to go for the medical test. In the entire south of Nigeria, there is only one Clinic where the tests are conducted. It is on Victoria Island. You need your National Passport and two passport photographs. It costs N15,800 ($125) for the Principal Applicant. If you have children, you would need additional N9500 ($75) per child. The tests are conducted in two non-consecutive days.

    On your first visit, you would undergo all the laboratory tests for HIV-1 and 2, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and other Sexually Transmittable Infections (STIs), as well as Tuberculosis and a Chest X-ray will be done. You do not need an appointment for this, just walk in any day of the week, before 12 noon and you would be attended to. But it is always better to get there as early as 8am.

    On completing this, you'd get a date for the second test - physical examination and collection of the first test results. Normally, they would give you about two to three weeks. If the date is not favorable to your schedule at the Embassy, please do not hesitate to ask for a more favorable appointment. Remember the Biblical instruction by our Lord Jesus Christ, "Ask, and you shall be given. Seek and you shall find". My initial second appointment would have come two weeks after my appointment at the Embassy, but I asked for consideration and got a more favorable date.

    On day two at the Clinic, the Doctor in-charge will analyze the results to you and let you know, where there is a problem. If you have no health problems, then you are on your way to getting the visa. Though, there is a routine vaccination for all.

    With your National Passport, Police Clearance Certificate and Medical Report in hand, you are now set for your interview appointment at the Embassy.

    The next stage then borders on preparing your documents for the D-day. Complete your Application Form and ensure that your fillings are consistent with all information you and your spouse have made available to the USCIS, the National Visa Center or any other US Agency in the course of your petition. Check, check and cross-check again and again. Any inconsistent information on your application could raise red flags to the Consular Officer in charge of your case.

    In our own case, my wife was very meticulous in packaging all our paperwork, comprising records of telephone calls, text messages and regular mail communication between us, and USCIS documents, telling photographs of our wedding, honeymoon and tour of some Nigerian cities, as well as documents pertaining to her work history, income, tax returns, housing and other relevant documents. She compartmentalized these documents and filed them accordingly.

    I took a cue from her and ensured that I compiled and filed my documents in similar fashion. At a point, it seemed I was preparing for high-level corporate budget presentations. Even the Consular Officer was awed by my well-packaged documents; he could not hide his thoughts. He openly applauded me for that, after drilling me with piercing questions.

    I advise that you go to bed early, on the eve of your interview, to enable you wake up early the next morning. You need to be at the Embassy, at least, one hour before your appointed time.

    It takes a few hours of wait before one is interviewed. No matter how long you wait, just be patient. Comport yourself and do not be afraid to face your interviewer, when you are finally called.

    Some of the questions to expect are: When did your relationship start? How did it start? Where did it start? How or where did you and your American fiancé (e)/spouse meet? Have you and your fiancé (e)/spouse met, physically? If yes, you must present photographs to tell the story. Depending on your answers to the above questions, several other probing questions will surely follow.

    If you are married already, you would need a lot of pictures of the wedding. You must know your fiancé (e)/spouse and his/her family, in and out. You must know the names of his/her parents and siblings, how many they are in the family and some simple things you should know about them.

    As it relates to your spouse, you must always remember his/her names. You must be able to answer these questions: When was he/she born? Where is he/she from? What does he/she do? Has he/she ever been married before? Does he/she have children? How many children? Have you ever communicated with any other member of his/her family? These and related questions may arise, to test your knowledge of your fiancé (e)/spouse and his/her family.

    Very testy questions on motive do arise too. The Consular Officer takes every applicant as a desperate person who wants to go to America at all cost. So, it rests on you to disabuse his/her mind on this. The very veritable way to do so is to look at your interviewer in the face and stick to your answers to his questions. Do not let the consular officer derail your focus or reasoning. Look him/her straight in the face and respond to the questions, confidently. Do not let your head drop.

    For instance, when you are bombarded with the following questions: Why American? Why America? Why not Nigerian? Why not look for a husband/wife in Nigeria? With the abundance of beautiful girls/handsome men in your country, why look elsewhere for a spouse? Does this not show that you are desperate to get to the United States? DO NOT BE SHAKEN! Look at your interviewer straight in the eyes and tell him/her that: LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES! It is like the air we breath. It goes wherever pleases it, uninhibitedly.

    Your interviewer may go ahead to ask: "You mean you looked all over your country, West Africa and Africa and never found space for your love to blossom? Tell him/her: LOVE CANNOT BE CONFINED TO A GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARY.

    Should he/she insist that it makes no sense to him/her, say: LOVE IS BLIND, SENSELESS AND IRRATIONAL because it has to do with emotions. Human emotions are very difficult to control.

    For your information, the incumbent Consular General of the US Embassy, in less than a year of his arrival in Nigeria, married a Nigerian girl. So, if you are belabored over your own situation, know that you are not alone - even the "Almighty Consular-General" fell in love far away from America. Walter Carrington, the very popular former US Ambassador to Nigeria also married a Nigerian in the course of his posting. No one can gag Love. It goes where it chooses to.

    There is a caveat here, though. If you are not intelligent enough to match your interviewer, just mind your words and talk less. If you are asked a very technical question, like I have highlighted above, there is no harm in saying "I JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY, BUT I'M IN LOVE".

    No matter what, You must know this fact, that your application has already been approved in the US and the Consulate in Lagos has been given directive to grant you a Visa - the interview is basically merely routine and to cross-check your data in their system with what you would say during the interview. So, if you hold tenaciously to your standpoint, the Visa is yours for the taking. Your real test is the MEDICAL TEST.

    On arrival in the US, other challenges abound, but your consolation is the fact that you have been reunited with your fiancé (e)/spouse.

    Thank You and Good luck.

  3. My husband had his interview on Monday, November 27th. He stated that the man that interviewed him really drilled him!!! However, he was able to pick up the visas on Thursday, November 30. So, he will be on his way by Christmas! :dance::dance:

    I must mention that VJ has really helped us!!! Thanks to everyone for your postings!!! :thumbs:

    I also must say that it is very important that you go prepared. After the drilling, the interviewer was impressed that all of our materials were so well organized! I prepared everything in a binder. Although, it was very expensive for me to ship "almost" everything, it was well worth it!!!

    So, now once he and the kids are here, we will be facing other challenges!

    Thanks Again Everyone!!!! :yes::dance:

  4. Hello to all in the African Forum!

    Well after a long and stressful process of my husband and I gathering all his police reports and getting all these things certified....My brother in law turned in our packet 3 for us today and we finally scheduled our K3 interview date..which am sad to say its so far away--MAY 14, 2007.

    We are happy on the one end that we have got all that paperwork done and now he just has to get his medicals done sometime in may or april. My brother in law was told that the only police report he needs to obtain is where he currently resides now which by the time May 2007 comes around, he will have lived there for more than 6 months.

    Since we are married we are hoping that at this point the cr-1 goes faster and since we are able to file that one in greece where my husband currently resides.

    A&O and for all those who have upcoming interviews, sending out my well wishes to all of you!

    On the plus side of things and after being apart from my husband since February, I am overjoyed to mention that I will be spending the holidays with him in Greece!!!

    Take Care and God Bless! (L)

    Hello My Sistah,

    So sorry for the delay with the interview! But, I am so glad to hear that you will be spending your holiday together--- and in Greece! Wow!!!

    I pray that the months will become as days for you! All will work out!!!

    Enjoy the holiday!!!

  5. This is an emotional time for me but I want to share with those still in the journey. :crying::dance::innocent: I have cried, danced, jumped and thanked my God - not in that order but repeatedly over the past week. My husband has his visa after 16 month separation.

    It has been a long journey for me. My story is unlike anyone else's. We were hit with a 10yr ban after traveling to Nigeria. I nearly died when i heard the news of the denial as it was not expected.

    Here is our visa journey, I met and married my husband in the US. Prior to adjusting his status in the US we traveled to Nigeria for a family emergency. Traveling was our 2nd mistake (the first being the overstaying).

    Overwhelmed by the emergency we thought (incorrectly) we could apply for a K visa for his return home. While there we had a beautiful traditional wedding. 4 months later we got our K3 interview and to our surprise was denied. Big DAH! Due to my husband's previous overstay we faced a ban. Devastated but determined we begged our way into the waiver process. The Lagos consulate agreed to start the waiver process as soon as our I130 was approved. We spent 3 months writing a waiver and obtaining congressional support. As soon as our approved I130 NOA was in hand we returned to the embassy and filed our waiver. True to their word, Lagos sent the waiver to DHS in Accra for processing within 30 days. However before sending it we were told it could take 15 months to process it. I went crying to my congressman. With a congressional request of expedited processing, our I601 waiver process took 3 months at DHS in Accra. We were notified by our congressman and Washington DC that our waiver was approved. Our next interview came at the end of the following month with the Lagos embassy, where they issued a K3 denial with a 221g. We were told to wait for our I130 to be "at post" before the interview for the Cr1 visa could be set and the approved I601 waiver could be applied. Basically our K3 was denied because waivers are for immigrate visas in Lagos.

    Thankfully following month our I 130 was completed. So in summary, 7 months after the I130 was approved and 9 months after our first k3 denial our CR1 was completed at NVC. We thought case complete meant “at post”. We spent the next month calling the voice response system at NVC and getting case complete and having NVC agents to say "we are still waiting for an interview to “be set” by Lagos”. Then I had a tragic death in my family to deal with and applied for an expedited request via my congressman. We also FAX’d our own expedited request directly to NVC. NVC approved it but would not send the completed case to Lagos with out them first agreeing to schedule the interview them selves. Well we held our breath and Lagos did agree to schedule it. (We were notified by our congressman of this approval). So the expedited I130 case file was sent to lagos where it sat for another month, lost. We emailed and emailed and no one at the embassy knew where it was. So we called NVC to alert them and they put a trace on it. The trace showed they received the case 4 days after it left NVC. The wait now was for them to upload the case so it would be seen and scheduled. I personally went to the embassy through the inquiry line and got an interview date. We suspect the case was uploaded when the trace was completed. Anyhoo, the interview for the Cr1 was set for 3 weeks later but I got it with no issue. My husband returned the following week to pick up his packet and interview letter.

    I returned to the US and gathered everything for an updated I864 and evidence of relationship and shipped to my husband. He went to the phone company and got a printout of incoming and outgoing calls.

    The 7 am Cr1 interview:

    They immediately called on people to collect items not in NVC File, like passport, ds230 part II, 2 passport pictures, and medical records. The were asked to Swear for oath and were fingerprinted (left and right forefinger) Then asked to return to their seats.

    It was about 2 pm before they called my husband - the staff apparently went on break between 10am-1:30.

    During the interview, he as asked typical questions, when did we meet, when did we marry, why did he overstay, when did he see me last. That was when true interest came in when learning of my 6 visits. He asked for proof of my visits and my husband showed my 3 Nigerian visas and 12 entry/ departure stamps from my passport. Then he asked for pictures of our weddings and family. The photo album could not fit through the whole at the interview window so my husband had to turn pages for him. That was all the evidence requested of my husband. no emails, phone logs, I864, police report etc... I am sure it is hard to doubt a relationship when you have visited 6 times over a 16 month period and sure information was being applied from our prior K3 case file. Oh yeah, they asked for a copy of the waiver. After the interview he was told him to sit back down. When the CO returned he handed my husband a pink slip and all originals from the NVC file and told him to come back in a week to pick up the visa.

    We did not really celebrate until the visa was in hand because you never know...... When he got the visa they handed him an orange envelope, his passport with a beautiful CR1 visa stamp, xrays and the supporting evidence for the waiver.

    Now we are celebrating because our lives can go on. :dance:

    Thanks for all support obtained on this site and best of luck to those still in the journey. Remember everything that has a beginning has an end.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :dance::dance:

    Now, the waiting is finally over!!!

    May God Bless You!

  6. Hello all, just an update here, posted that we were approved and sent to LAgos consulate in the K1 Form about 2 weeks ago. Anyway... We tracked the DHL package and when I knew it was there I emailed the Consulate, I asked them when our case(listed the Number) was uploaded into the system to please notify me. WOW they did, that was last Wednesday and then we waited to pick up the package untill MOnday just to be sure. I do not have a NOA2 notice so he only went with the Letter from the NVC and that was fine. NO problems, he did say that is took all day. Our interview date is 12/13/06. I will travel there for support. When I get back I will be happy to give you all the details and let you know how it goes. Also He said that the Medical exam takes 2 days. Xray is on the first day, then you go back for the rest.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :dance::dance:

    I know that you're excited!!! Our interview date is 11/27/06. I pray that all will go well!!!

  7. Hello everyone, i know everyone has been very busy not to wish me all the best prior my interview , well, everything went so great. got the 6am, lined up and went into the consulate 6.45am and i was called by a black nigerian lady to submit all my docs. the affidavis, passport, ds156 forms, medical and the police certificate. so i was aske dto be sitted and last was called by this white guy around 12.35pm and was interview. he's a nice guy, we chatted and he asked about my docs. and i gave it to him and he love the way i filled my doc. in a folder, it was so colorful and organized and he told me that am so organized and i have really preparde for them and the other CO around him, heard what he said and they came to look at it and they love it and he asked who packaged the folder and i said my wife. at the end of everything he asked me to show my photos and mails, which i did and the first mail he read was the mail where my wife with anoyances bullshit the immigrations...and he was like wow, she bullshit up here and all the CO's there were laughing and at the end of it all, he gave me a letter to come pick up the visa on tuesday, but when he was entering the name in the system, some names came up that are same with my lastname, and he asked if i have ever been to the usa and i said know and asked as well, if i have any brother thatbears my lastname and calle dthere first names, about 4peoples names and i said no, so he said i need to do all my fingerprint, and he gave me a letter nand i was told to pay $85 and should come on friday morning 9am for the 10 fingers fingerprinting.

    my question, have any one gone thru the fingerprinting and how long does it take to get the result so i can o pick up my visa.

    i wish everyone all the best , lagos consulate is calm now and the CO's are friendly, just be composed and be organized.

    i need to hearing from you all asap

    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR INTERVIEW!!!

    Surprising that you and my husband was there at the Consulate Office on the same day. However, he was only there to pick up the packets. So, what time was your interview?

    I don't have information on fingerprinting because we our interview is not until November.

    Again, Congratulations

  8. :dance::dance:

    After emailing the Lagos Consulate Office for the last SEVERAL WEEKS, I finally received a reply from them on today notifying us of our interview date. The interview date is scheduled for November 27, 2006 (Just before Thanksgiving) :dancing: Although it's a long way ahead, I'm optimistic that my hubby will be home for Christmas!!! (L)(L)

  9. This reply is based on a process in evolution. I intend to write a detailed account of this process that hopefully will stay in the Nigeria Embassy review section for awhile. It has certainly taken a lot of energy trying to sift out information where they maybe in previous threads.

    Other site members- Taye500, Neya, Sercontigo, Alyce- to mention a few have been very helpful and i thank them.

    My timeline also explains further. This is what i have observed from our own process. NVC often turns the case files around very quickly once received from USCIS (sometimes the very next day). NVC sent my files to Lagos (presumably on 9/7/2006). This information was received by calling NVC at 603 334 0700 armed only with the USCIS number. I mention this because you may receive the NVC letter stating case has been sent to Lagos days after NVC actually mailed the case to Lagos.

    Anyway i have no way of verifying exact date Lagos received the files. I was busy trying to update address and so my e-mail correspondence with Lagos embassy had to do with address update. Finally on 9/18/2006, i received an e-mail saying the case has been "uploaded into the system" but with no mention of the address update, the theme of my prior e-mails to Lagos embassy.

    I decided to wait for 10business days before having my fiancee head to embassy for the inquiry. I really did not want her being turned away because the case had not gotten prepped to the point of issuing the Packets. Moreover there were other issues at hand such as obtaining police report and getting other documents, she would need, to Nigeria. I had opted for Fedex but after all was said and done, i was staring at $385.00 and i had not even been charged some tax on jewelry yet. I finally looked for an alternative...would you believe after reclaiming my package from Fedex (some last minute afterthought). That alternative was finding someone travelling to Lagos. By paying for an extra suitcase (less than $200.00) i was able to get all the documents to my fiancee. It was risky placing those documents in the plane but i was willing to take my chances what with the luxury of all i could pack into one suitcase. The irony of it all is that the suitcase arrived Lagos before Fedex would have delivered. I guess it was more of perfect timing that i found someone travelling at just the right time.

    My fiancee collected her packets today 09/27/2006. Let me say this in bold prints because i searched for this piece of info so many times and it took Taye500 underscoring the affirmative before i could get going but i guess that`s because enough people didnt just spell it out..........or perhaps i just could not locate thethread where similar facts had been depicted.

    Yes you can collect your packages by going to the embassy with NOA2 (USCIS approval notice) and the NVC letter. Wednesday is specifically set aside for inquiries but note the time for that is from 11a.m.[/ Again i did not know this "minute" fact and i sent my fiancee out there as early as 6a.m.....So 11a.m Wednesdays but it may also be possible to make inquiries on other weekdays. I can only report on the facts as i know them.

    She did not like all the long hours but she persevered and went through what seemed like the actual interview to the point where she was given the packets and an interview date of Nov 15. If she wakes up sometime this year, i intend to get a very detailed report of the contents of the so-called packed "sheets of paper stapled together" is the summary of what i have obtained thus far from her. I want and will get more details posted.

    I think often we get to a point where we are either so excited or have a lot going on...travel plans, more communication with S.O that we forget those yearning for information....just littlew titbits of information that can make a difference in plans and logistics. I intend tgo do my bit and post most of what i have here on the Nigerian Embassy section. I will add to this after my fiancee`s interview and paste.

    You are truly a masterpiece!!!!! :thumbs:

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!!!!

    It's been over a month since NVC acknowledged that our case was forwarded to Lagos; however, after several emails to them, they (Lagos) has not confirmed receipt of our case. My husband will make a trip to the Consulate Office on next week with photocopies of the NOA2 and NVC Letter.

    THANKS AGAIN!!!

  10. :dance::dance: We finally got our Visa :dance: . We are so happy :D . This part of the journey is over :D . I would like to thank each one of you for your encouraging words. I have learned so much from this site. I will post more about his interview once I get all of the details from my husband.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance:

    Please share your experiences at the Consulate Office. We're still waiting on Lagos!!

  11. Hello Everyone,

    It's been a little over a month since I received notification from NVC that our K-3 case was forwarded to the Lagos Consulate Office. I've emailed them approximately three times within the month, and I have received the same general response that they send to everyone: Unfortunately, we have no records of this case in our system. Due to the large volume of applications, it may take some time before approved petitions are received and entered into the system. Applicants are contacted in the order the petitions are received.

    Surely, they should have already received the case by now?? :unsure:

    So, I decided to call them on today. I actually spoke to someone, but she immediately transferred me to their automatic voice response.

    Any advice as to what or how my husband can receive or pick up packets 3 and 4 from the Lagos office? :help:

  12. Received email (x3) this evening while sitting around waiting on Ernesto to do something down here in Miami... Approved August 29, 2006!

    Not the shortest time-frame I have seen, but nonetheless an approval issued to a twice divorced, once after a K1 visa then marriage in the last two years. There is hope for some of us out there!!!!

    Now I just have to refresh my memory on the process from here! Thanks for everyone's help so far!!!!!!

    :dance:

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

    I also got an approval on 8/29/06!!!!! :dance::dance:

    Also, waiting to see what Ernesto will do here in SC.

  13. WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance: WE ARE SO ESTATIC!!!!!!!! HE WILL BE COMING SOONEST!!!!!!! HE SAID THAT ALMOST EVERYONE WHO HAD THEIR INTERVIEW THAT DAY WAS APPROVED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME K-1 PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE SUPPORTING THEIR RELATIONSHIP OR PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T HAVE SUFFICIENT INCOME FOR THEIR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT.

    HE SAID HIS INTERVIEW ONLY TOOK 5 MINUTES. THE WAIT TIME WAS ABOUT 2 HOURS FROM THE TIME HE ENTERED THE EMBASSY. HE SAID EVERYONE WAS PRETTY MUCH INTERVIEWED IN FRONT OF EVERYONE ELSE SO THEIR WAS NO PRIVACY.

    We were just so excited that I don't know much details as to the questions asked. So i will ask him and post them here for others who will soon be going through the process.

    I want to thank you all for all your prayers and support. :luv:

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

    I am so happy for the both of you!!!! So Excited!!!

    You give us hope in the Lagos Consulate Office!!!! :thumbs::thumbs:

    Please post his experiences with the consulate office.

    Thanks and again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  14. Now what, this obviously bumps his K-3 right? does this mean he has to stay out longer? I know th cr-1 takes longer to process
    We have a choice. We can continue with K3, which will get an interview faster, and then adjust status. Or, we can continue with K3 and let the I-130 continue at the same time, then go back for that interview.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :dance::dance:

    They are finally moving on things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Hi everyone. I am so worried with this whole K3 thing. My husband and I, have file the I-129F on the 13th of March. We received and email on the 3rd of July about the RFE, we mailed our RFE on the 18th of July and MSC received it on the 19th. Since the 3rd of July, no updated, no email, NOTHING, not even to say they received our RFE. I am so worried, this thing is driving us both crazy, and the worse is that you can't talk to anybody at the USCIS about it, they will just tell you to wait. Please give us some advice on what we should. Thanks a lot. :cry:

    Hi,

    I understand the frustration!!! I got tired waiting; therefore, I sent them an inquiry with copies of the two RFEs, and copies of the USPS tracking information. When I received the I-797 in the mail today, I noticed that it was approved on the same day that they received my inquiry. I don't know if this had helped my situation, but like I said, I got tired waiting.

    Good Luck! :thumbs::thumbs:

  16. I checked my case online and it says : case has been approved, august 4 approval notice was mail. What a big relief whewww..... :dance:

    I am still waiting for approval notice in my mail, until today still not received the mail yet :mellow: . where is the letter going??? I keep telling me to wait and be patient...haha..i know i am so nervous.....

    I read one post from other Vj that " You are not approved until you get approval notice from them"...? is it right ? Hopefully the computer system does not go wrong this time like sometime it happened.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! (F)(F):thumbs:

    I received my approval in the mail on today, but not updated on USCIS website nor an email.

  17. It's raining today, and I did not want to go out to pick up the mail! BUT, I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

    To my surprise, I received the K-3 Approval in the mail today. :dancing::dancing::dancing: I had checked the USCIS website on last night, but it had not been updated since 8/4/06. However, on that same day, I had received three emails from them of receipt of my IMBRA RFE response, but no mention of an approval. I checked the I-797 approval date, and it is was approved on 8/4/06. Don't understand their procedures!! :unsure: What the heck! I'm glad I received the approval!! :dancing::dancing::dancing::thumbs:

    I pray that everyone else will receive a speedy approval as I did!!! :thumbs:
