Hi there, I would like to have some insights, as I'm in a complete blur right now. I filed to remove the conditions on my green card and received a RFE back in October 2019. I filed and sent everything to the Vermont service center before the dead line of January 23rd 2020. My green card is extended to June 2020, but now I have no updates or information on if my case was approved. I checked the status and got this notice. Can anyone guide as what it may mean? Thank you.

Applying to remove conditions on GC means applying for the 10 yr GC.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was so confused as if I needed to apply for something else now. Thanks!

Hi guys,
I'm a bit confused about all these Green cards procedures to do. So I'm actually sending my package to remove my conditions on my GC but I'm wondering - does that mean I'm automatically applying for the 10 years one??? Or that's something I have to do AFTER being accepted for the removal of conditions? I don't know why it's so many things to keep track of - but I need to know if I have to apply for the 10 years while I'm waiting for the removal? PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME.

Oh ok... well, for a package sent via post mail, it can take up to 6wks to get a CC (without a checklist). If you sent it via e-mail, it would have been faster; I've seen people from Canada get CC in a week. Just keep calling NVC for the status of your case and hopefully you'll get your CC soon!
Okay thank you, I understand. I will start calling again and see if anything was updated. Thank you

Did you send your packages via e-mail or post office?
I sent everything through post mail, so it was a physical package.

Hello there,
I sent my AOS & IV package together on August 18th and it's been more than a month of waiting to get our case complete.
I called 2 weeks ago, and they told me they received the package (2 weeks ago) and that they are still processing it.
I see on similar timelines that people get their cases complete in about 2 weeks max so I'm wondering what to do.
Please let me know what you think, thank you!

Hello there, the USCIS received my case on Feb 19 2016 and I'm wondering how long does it take, generally, to receive the Notice of action #2 ?
I received the first one, but we are still waiting for the second, maybe somebody knows? Thank you!
My service center is at Potomac, but they didnt send it yet, it,s normal that it still in process? Thank you.

Hello VJcommunity,
I have been calling USCIS to see the updates on my visa application but when asked to type in the receipt number (which starts with YSC), the automated operator keeps mistaken it for WSC.
I retyped it many times, and it still wont recognize that the number 9 that I have to type (which corresponds to the letters : W or X or Y) is meant to be Y and not W!
Obviously it then says I have an error in my receipt and I can't verify anything. Anyone know if there's another way? Thank you very much!

OKay, I'm in the same situation as you guys, they recieved my file on Feb 20th and now I got a receipt # YSC. Not working on their website neither, I guess we just have to wait? Is that my case number though?

Hello there, I wanted to make sure to ask for the right thing:
Is the police certificate asked in the IV pack also called "certificate of good conduct"?
Because I just spoke to an officer on the phone and he says it's not the same thing as one requires finger prints and other documents..
Thank you for your help!

Thank you a lot Alaska2012. I read that submitting last year's tax return is enough instead of 3, is that correct? Should I ask for the last 3 just in case?
-
Okay, so I don't need to submit the last tax return or do I still need to do it? I don't know the exact numbers, but if he makes 20k income this year (2016) + 13 k in savings it's enough? I guess I just have to give proof of that from his bank account? Thank you, again.

Hello dear people, before asking and starting to find a joint sponsor for my visa, I wanted to know if my husband (US citizen) qualifies to be the only sponsor.
Here's the situation: for the last 3 years, he was under the poverty level, BUT, he has now 13k + in savings, and he's currently working a steady job.
Is that enough to be the only sponsor?
Thank you for your help.

Thank you Nancy, no I never ever lied to USCIS, the relation ship was never even mentioned since it was focused on my career and job sponsors. Should I then check the box that say in the I-130 form that I did applied for immigration before? Because it was just a visa, not an immigration process. Thank you.

Hello there, I'm in starting the procedures for a CR-1 Spouse visa and I'm wondering if my previous denied O-1 Visa (Artist visa) will affect the process, results etc?
If anyone was in the same situation, please enlighten me
My O-1 visa was denied in April 2015, and I'm now refiling in November 2015, because I applied as a professional dancer (my job) and didn't get approved.
The main reason was that I wanted to live with my then boyfriend, now husband.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
My case was transferred to a new jurisdiction AFTER RFE.
