    Birth Certificate and Passport DOB MisMatch

    in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

    Hello All,

    My fiance has her interview comingup within two weeks in India. We just noticed there is a mis-match between her DOB shown on the passport and her original birth certificate. The DOB is common between passport and ALL other document EXCEPT the birth certificate.

    I am afraid this may come up as an issue.

    Do you have any suggestions to resolve the issue or to mitigate the risks?

    I guess one option is to take a notorized statement form her parents and a close relative testifying her original DOB that matches with the passport to provide as a supplement to the original birth certificate.

    Do you think that is a good idea?
