I had my interview yesterday. first I never got an interview letter only the status changed online showing my interview has been scheduled. After waiting two weeks and still no letter I called talked to IO and they decided to fax a copy to me and I can use it. Went to the seattle office yesterday and I was in with no problem. Waited for 30 mins and got called in. The officer which she was very nice went through my N-400 form and she saw that I have speeding ticket mentioned in the form. I handed her certified court copy saying it was differed fine was paid and a copy of my complete driving record. She didnt ask for that but she took it anyway. went through the civic questions

after that I signed my pictures and the n-400 and told me that I can be citizen today. oath at noon.

went out and came back at noon for the oath ceremony which it was wonderful. received my certificate of naturalization with info how to apply for passport and register to vote.

The oath letter with those eight questions on the back? Received that from our field office in St. Paul, but via e-mail. The text in the e-mail said the oath letter wasn't very clear but she could use it. We did, said to bring her green card and any USCIS documents you have that was confusing to me. So I just tossed our large USCIS brief case in the car just in case. That stayed in the car, all she needed was that printed out copy of the e-mail attachment and her green card.

so from my understanding they were fine with just email attachment print out to get in. I will try to call again and see.

Hi everyone.

I dont post much here as I try to search on previous topics but so far I couldn't find it here.

I applied for N-400 got my biometric done Sept 14. Received update on Sept 19th on USCIS site that I am scheduled for interview and I should receive appointment letter within 14 days from Sept 19 and if I didnt that I should call. I waited after the two weeks, called USCIS number got transferred to higher officer told me that letter already sent on Sept 19th and that she can fax me a copy as she dont recommend mail it again as it will take a while. So I said that they can fax me and also requested to mail copy. At the end she told me that I can also make an info pass and go to the field office if I want to get a copy.

I received the fax after couple hours with my interview date and time (Oct 27th). The letter look like its been written the same day I called and have details of what I should bring which is general and originals of any copies I submitted no specific request. It does have a bar code at the bottom but what makes me feel confused is on the top its been kinda stamped with "This is not an original document, Acceptance of this courtesy copy is at the discretion of the receiving office".

am wondering if this is enough to take with me?

does anyone have any info about such thing?

Since we received two of those strange letters and after my info pass and mailing a copy of the stamped ASC biometric notice didnt do anything to the case status online I decided to call USCIS, talked to an officer. She recognized the issue and told me to ignore the letters, case still in process. I asked her if she can send a letter states that error so we can have some proof she is mailing one, advised to call back withing 30 days if nothing received. case online still says NOV 19 RFE issued.

We just received another one. The first one was a week ago. Nothing changed online still saying RFE on Nov 19th no case touches either even we mailed them a copy of original biometric letter with ASC stamp. Will not be surprised if we get a third one.

we received this strange letter after the online status changed to RFE and I already done my biometric. I did an infopass today and the IO couldnt understand why they sent such letter. He checked the status on the computer found biometric is fine and cleared then advised to send a copy of the biometric and this letter to USCIS california.

thanks LIFE'SJOURNEY , its true that medical care here is expensive, but my idea is for me to take care of them here as they are struggling there by themselves and only visited once a week by my sister. but I was hoping that there is some kind of a way, but I guess that there is no health related approach to take for this thing to happen

Can anyone help me with any info on this? I am a conditional green card holder married to a USC, my parents are old and now very sick they are struggling alot , I want to bring them here so I can take care of them as soon as possible. From where I read I know that only if I am a USC I can petition them to come here, but does anyone know if there is away like health emergency or something that will entitled them to be eligible. any information is appreciated

Don't get marry and refile without receiving a decision from USCIS like NOD or letter for sure that its expired as it might trigger an entry ban on him. I think such topic is pinned in MENA

Is there anyone who has experienced the refugee process. No matter where I look online I can't find anything on the topic to help me know what to expect for my husband. Though we put in for his visa to come as my spouse. It will take longer than processing him as a refugee and we want him to have the refugee benifits so his transition here will be easier and he will have more help.

If anyone knows anything about the process I would greatly appreciate it. My husband has already been to two of the interviews and is waiting for his final interview now if this helps you to know where we are in the process.

We will have our second aniversary in July 20. I have noticed that some cases took just 4 months to have the AOS interview aproved, in my case I sent our AOS in december and we received the NOA in January. If it take about 4 months problably we will receive the 2 years card and not 10 years and we will lose money aplying for lifting condition, then we would like to know if us received a RFE how many days we have to send it back without has the case abandoned or denied?

Please answer me, because I think we need one, If yes pray for us get a RFE.

I think the max allowed time to respond to RFE should not exceed 12 weeks and to a NOID 30 days.

i have an interview yesterday with the US embassy in abu dhabi-UAE. i went there 3 hrs early and when the time comes they call my number and they took all the documents, everything done through a window counter with everybody waiting and hearing all the others statements, after 3 hrs of waiting and i was almost the last one sitting they call me and the officer came with a really angery face the whole interview time which last 45mins and i was answering all the question in a good firm confident way he asked me two times to give him a mins with himself as he kept thinking and tapping his figures to the table then at the end he told me to sit and after few mins he came and told me that am been denied of getting a visa and gave me a blue paper saying denied under section INA212(a)(4) public charge issue that my fiancee getting a help from the housing authority, even though we already include a joint sponsor and beside my fiancee assets is above 125% poverty guideline but since she is unemployed we decide to include a joint sponsor. he didnt consider the co-sponsor he was really nasty, he dont believe that this is a genuine relationship because we have 23 years age gap, which i think this is his main upsetting thing but we know each other for 6 years and we represent it with lots of proofs (email inbox showing the date of the relationship period, selected emails from all that time, chat conversation and chat voice invitation showing dates, pictures, letters and gifts photos showing all the gifts sent between eachother, photocopy of all the envelopes and letters showing the dates sent, letters from family and friends, copy of her arabic class she took to learn arabic in ever green state college, engagement ring receipt, airlines tickets and new intent to marry letters. our question is can we do anything to overcome this issue?

they gave me a blue sheet telling me ineligible to get a visa according to INA 212(a)(4) but when i called the embassy they said its not only this its the proof of the relationship. its like there is a hidden reason they didnt write it on the paper.

we are still on a shock and we dont know what to do

Hello everybody

its really confusing, we are preparing for the interview for the K1 visa, we have an issue about the taxes. my fiancee wasnt required to file taxes for the past 5 years cuz she is unemployed , actually she worked for couple days through the last year in those subbing jobs in schools. she called the IRS and they told her they can fax a letter that they dont have a record for her in the system. my question is , will this be enough to take to my interview relating the tax issue?? or can she still file taxes for the last year??

we are getting a co-sponsor who filed his taxes and above the 125% poverty guidline , also the embassy need the recent year filing only.

if the fax letter work, is it ok that its faxed copy or it have to be original??

Where do you see anything about household size, household members, and 125% or the poverty level on an I-134 affidavit or the DS-2000 (formerly OF-167) instructional form for meeting the public charge provisions of the law?

Have you fiancee's son provide the information that is requested on the I-134 and don't invent things that are not asked for.

yes, am going for my K1 interview and we are using the I-134 form, sorry if i didnt mention from the begining. My fiancee have some assets to cover the 125% poverty guideline but since she is unemployed (or worked very little as part time jobs in the past 5 years) so we are going to include a joint sponsor , her son. my question will his girlfriend, that he live with, be included as a household member even if he didnt include her in the tax forms?

Yodrak, thanx for reply, but in Q8 of I-134 " That the following persons are dependent upon me for support: (Place an "x" in the appropriate column to indicate whether the person named is wholly or partially dependent upon you for support.)" so if fiancee's son girlfriend is dependent on him as they live together , wont she be included on that question ?? and that will affect the number of household members thus the required income for the 125%.
