Do i need to file married for my taxes? Will the NVC care that it is filed single ?
Married March 2015 overseas. I dont have a ITIIN numberfor spouse so i have to file seperate.
Question is in regards to AOS docs

Ive also been waiting for NVC to receive my case since my I130 approval since Dec 1 2015. I called USCIS and asked to speak to tier 2. They said even though my case was approved on dec 1st, that it was actually mailed out on Jan 7th 2016. I think the wait is on the USCIS's part
I've been waiting since 12/1/2015 and they still cant issue a case number...
Don't know what to do as calling and sending them emails has no results.
They say it can take up to 42 days which is so ridiculous... why don't these people hire more people if they
are so backed up?
I'll be dead by the time I finally get all the approvals for a fiancé visa! -
I called the USCIS today and the representative told me that I had to wait 90 days before they can look at the date the case was sent to the NVC. I asked to be transferred to a Tier 2 representitive and the man said that they will say the same thing, but I had him transfer me anywayz. An automated service basically schedulled a call back to my number. Any tips or pointers on how I can get them to tell me ?
My Case was approved from Potomac Dec 1st
Called USCIS today and I was able to speak with a tier 2 rep. My case was shipped from Potomac to NVC Jan 8th. NVC has not received it yet but I feel more at ease knowing that it was shipped.

I still have not seen anyone from the Potomac center get a case number yet. Anyone on here? Technically if you count only the work days I understand I'm not at the 35 full days but it looks like a few people on here have hit over 35 working days and still no case number from the nvc. so I'm so confused

Still waiting on the nvc to receive my I 130. Still no word I received my approval from the USCIS on December 1st 2015. Is there a way that we can use a thread on here to track the time it might take for the National Visa Center to give us a case number. For ex. from the noa2 to the National Visa Center actually receiving our I 130 case and giving us a case number.

The NVC told me that it takes up to 35 days for cases to be transferred from the USCIS. I was approved December 1st, 2015(Potomac Center). Still no word. I had someone different at the NVC tell me today that it can take up to 42 days now. -___-

Ill try it. I clicked on the link. But what after that ? Could you be a little more specific becauae it takes me to a link where there are few options available.
Good luck to you!!
Try what I did so NVC more than likely will email you as soon as they assign your case and invoice number.

Try checking the website, your case status on the uscis site

I'm a little confused. So I just got the approval from the USCIS on December 1st. What do I do now ? I read the wiki page, but on NVC website the steps say after approval a person should choose an agent. I have a lawyer. And I'm wondering what now? Do I just wait. What happens directly sering that I've been approved on the website

Was your case at the Potamac Center?

How long does it take for the NVC to receive your case from the USCIS right after being approved ? My case was just approved in December 1st, 2015 from the Potamac Service Center. Also, do I just wait until the NVC reaches out to me
I found out my case was approved via the uscis website. So I have not received the letter yet.

There is a thread that was started about Potomac and it has some people on there that were transferred. My I 130 was transferred as well. July 13th my NOA1 and then transferred October 16th to Potomac, no word yet .

Hello,
After the I 130 is approved and my case is sent to the National Visa Center, how would you recommend I draft that letter to help with the expedite process. Yes, financially it has become difficult living apart, but is that in a letter enough to be approved to be expedited? Also, does anyone have a sample of what could be sent over that could have a chance of approval?

Someone was approved in the July thread-there case was approved at the Potomac Service Center,
