Thank you friend! I was up at 2 am Eastern trying to give moral support but so tired and they made him turn off his phone so i was just *waiting* the longest hours ever. !!

  2. We are talking about Paris, France right. Don't know how you filtering. There are 36 total on spreadsheet. Here's just 2015 and 2016.

Ah, well now I feel like a big dummy. I did a search for " paris" and LifeOnHold is listed under paris and not France so I assumed any other Paris interviewees would be listed under the same criteria! Thank you dhweels! :dancing:

  3. Here's the spreadsheet there are others for Paris.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit#gid=0A

Also the Interview thread they are there also.

The only other Paris person in the spreadsheet is LifeonHold from 2014 ( and I have already been in touch with her in pvt)! Unfortunately, That doesn't give me a good idea for how long the wait times have been this go around. I have already looked at the spreadsheet, dont worry.

  4. Don't you qualify for a I-864EZ, just need three conditions: Easier to fill out. Do not leave page 6 and 7 blank if you use it.

    1. You are the person who filed or is filing Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;

    2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on Form I-130; and

    3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2s provided by your employers or former employers.

On item 3. Self employment or 1099s from being a contractor does not qualify

It's possible but at this point I already filed it, she told me to just resubmit with a new signature and today's date and all would be well. I do have a couple 1099s though. I suppose I will submit those too just in case.

  5. I got the same checklist but they said bring W2 to interview

I knw how it feels to wait another 40days. But u re almost there. Good luck!

I wish if they would have given you some relief by doing a conditional case complete and asked you to bring the documents to interview. I hope you do not have to wait for 40 days may be 25 days you get a case complete just send it ASAP.

I was hoping that NVC was asking you to bring it to the embassy.

Leaving blank fields is to them MISSING INFORMATION, they can not assume or guess it. Make sure you fill those blanks with N/A. (I figured out it was a regular I-864, for an I-864EZ those pages are 6 an 7.

The NVC Wiki guide mentions this in particular: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process.

The thing about the W-2 is UNJUSTIFIED, it really upsets me because if you submit TRANSCRIPTS, you are not required to send W2.

There is one exception, and I am going quote the whole instruction for you.

    Page 8 of instructions:

If you provide a photocopy of your Federal individual income tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income.

I am sorry I tried to explore a way out, but you are stuck with it. Come on get up and keep running!!!

thanks for all the love guys, I'm calmer now. I'm mostly upset that this means we have to wait more. I agree it IS unjustified! thats why I called and asked if something was wrong with my transcripts , but the guy on the phone had no clue. Of course now I have to wait until Monday to get anythign sent off! Boo

  6. Ok, calm down.

    ITEM 2 first :

Read slowly and carefully the last page of your CHECKLIST, the first pages are a generic message that may not pertain to you.

The last page is specifies what they want and where to send it or bring it.

I believe what you have is what I call a "non-intrusive" checklist because it may be directing you to bring it to interview and not to send it to NVC.

Please: Double check and get back to me.

ITEM 1: What kind of I-864 did you file?

I already called them to confirm I couldn't submit via e-mail and they confirmed that i need to resubmit by mail - I've included the quote of the checklist for your perusal:

[x] I-864, Affidavit of Support Checklist

[x] The Affidavit of Support is an important legal contract between you and the U.S. government. During our review, we identified one or more sections that were either incomplete or contained incorrect information. Please review the additional instructions below then complete and submit a new Affidavit of Support. You can download the I-864 form and instructions at http://www.uscis.gov/i-864.

    [x]

    [x]

[x] The Form I-864 we received was missing the following page(s). Please ensure you include all 12 pages when you resubmit the form.

    [x] Page 11

    [x] Page 12

    [x]

[x] You must submit the following financial evidence: [x] Your 2014 W-2 forms(s).

    [x]

  7. Do you mind sharing with us what it was as information so it does not happen to others?

I am wondering what it can be that "the website" (Which website) says is not required?

I am sorry for you, but just play the game, you will be Ok.

    Absolutely: 2 things

    1) I didn't include pages 11 and 12 in the AOS even though they didn't pertain to me because I wasn't using a joint-sponsor. I must resubmit my entire AOS form.

2)They are asking me to submit my 2014 w2 - the website(http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Step_4_Collect_Financial_Documents.html) says "If you cannot obtain an IRS tax transcript: If you are unable to obtain an IRS tax transcript, submit a photocopy of your IRS Federal Income Tax Returns and Form(s) W-2 or schedule(s) from the most recent tax year." However I DID submit IRS tax transcripts for 2014, 2013, and 2012. If i had been asked to submit the w2 I would've done so in the first place. I called to ask why i'm being asked to submit and the guy on the phone was unable to tell me.

    A waste of 40 days :(

  8. I want to call so bad today about interview date but hoping they just send a email. Let's see how today goes.

Have yet to see Canada, UK, DR, Sweden, Nigeria, Ghana, Philippines announce March dates. Maybe we are in round 2. Goodness

Does that mean Paris is full for March? Should I be finding an April Interview thread? Honestly I have found VJ to be almost as confusing as the visa process @_@ halp

  9. You can't have your medical in another country.

"An alien pursuing a visa application abroad must have the medical examination conducted by a panel physician approved by the visa issuing U.S. Embassy/Consulate".

But the Paris embassy serves Portugal and many other small EU countries. That line doesn't seem to preclude medical being done in country of origin? Why shouldn't they have approved doctors in other countries who must attend interviews in Paris. Are you sure this is the case?

  10. Scan Date 6 Jan, Waiting to hear CC. Interview will be in Paris ( not really sure what the wait for Paris is like) Called NVC today and was told should hear back within the week about our case. Fingers crossed for no checklist. We are hoping we can do the medical in Portugal before having to fly to Paris for the interview. Will update if we get a March date but I doubt it- will probably get in for April.

  11. Yay!!! I checked online today and saw that I had the 3 N/As the members talk about. So I just called NVC at around 9:47AM, my hold was 1 minute long and the representative informed me that my case was completed yesterday and that I should receive an email within a week to that regard and after that I will receive another email with an interview date. Hopefully I get an interview date within 2 weeks. FYI: Scan date was December 28,2015; case completed February 3, 2016. Yay!!! Things are starting to look brighter and we are closer to the end of this journey.

    Good luck to everyone

That is great new! We filed only a few days after you so here's hoping we hear soon!

  12. For the powerusers on this thread I have a question. I am looking at peoples timelines and I often see that they submitted the AOS packet separately from the Visa application form. However official channels suggest you should be submitting them together, as does the NVC process timeline. Is this just oversight on the part of the timelines I am looking at or is there some advantage to submitting them separately?
